learn to enjoy a character's suffering
it wasn't pops suffering that bugged me, it was the reason/person why
My biggest complaint with the later half of Vigilantes is with Six despite having some entertaining moments. The fact that his motivation boiled down to the voices in his head told him to do it meant that neither Koichi or Pop knew who the fuck he was until the schizo directly started fucking with each, so it kind of felt like there was little to no buildup when Pop got bee'd then shot, and when Koichi fought him. Hell I don't think Koichi even knew about the queen bee unless KD's letter explained that as well as the whole O'clock backstory, I think it was Soga knew about that and was the one to remove it

The fact that the MC of Vigilantes didn't even know about who the bad guy was, and how he pissed off the bad guy for standing there was hilarious. The MC randomly getting a power-up for no reason was less fine, but that's a shonen thing.

What the...?!

Also apparently the japanese voice actor of Earl Sinclair and Franky from One Piece is the same guy.

Rent-A-Girlfriend spoilers for the recent chapter
I'm gonna preface this with the fact that I know nothing about this manga so this might be wrong, but upon reading that the manga is currently edging almost 500 chapters to what I assume is essentialy a romcom, learning that the main caracther got rejected by the girl I laughed so hard I choked on my water.
Like brooo, how is this even legal lmao.
And the cope on the reddit has been way to good, hands down my favourites so far:

I got curious, I'm learning a lot about the kind of people this is appealing to.
God save their souls, 500 chapters of this? It breaks my heart.

Watching romcoms nowadays is a russian roulette; you never know when the wholesome turns into 'kick the loser' and/or NTR.

Lmao just stick to old-school romcoms at this point. No wonder the Japanese aren't breeding, they're literally being told to their faces by their manga that they're losers who cannot get a real girlfriend ever, or that their "best girl" doesn't win so why even live?

Hokkaido Gals is still the peak of current day romcom mangas as far as I'm concerned. Even had the decency to end with a wholesome and beautiful series of colored final pages.

If you didn't figure this story is meant to be trainwreck 20 chapters in then I feel sorry for you.
This is the type of story you read as a melodramatic comedy, not a romantic one.
Is it the same girl that was fucking a guy on the side while dating the protagonist?
No, the protagonist imagined her getting fucked by a guy in a French beret and got a hard on in a public pool over it.
