Roshi is cool, but Mineta and Happosai suck.
I like Sanji, but I won't lie and say I think the post time skip gag kind of sucks compared to pre time skip. Pervert characters are fine but some do just suck is my hot take.

Mineta is just a stupid character, period. He has some rare good moments, but he exists so no other male from MHA commits the sin of lusting over women.
Hating on Master Roshi is stupid: he is a funny take on the "wise kung fu master", being a complete pervert. People seem to forget early Dragon Ball wasn't nowhere near as tame as the clusterfuck of Z onwards regarding sexuality (blonde Launch best girl btw.)

How could Mineta ruin a show that was already pure trash from the beginning? Anime youtubers spent years sucking Horikoshi's cock until it became unpopular to do so.

Horikoshi is a hack just like Toriyama and Kurumada: the guy had a good idea, started alright and then he shits on it for years until he's unable to give a decent ending. Shonen in general suffers from this, they all become bloated corpses after 2 or 3 seasons.
MHA is decent at least until season 3, but FUCK those 'school tournament' episodes, Jesus Christ.

The tournament arc was torture and in retrospect I have no idea why I watched it at all. I only watched up to the end of the 4th season and didn't read the manga. I may be speaking for myself, but I never liked BNHA and it is worse than many other shonen series.
Most of the characters looked odd and lacked cohesion. The world felt overly simplistic, even by shonen standards. Western comic book superheroes are uninteresting to me and whatever influence that had on the series leaves a bad taste in my mouth. All Might manages to be slightly less gay than Superman, so I'll give the author that.
Thematically, giving Deku one of the most powerful quirks within the first few episodes was ridiculous and undercuts any messaging throughout the show. What does Deku really prove by trying to become the strongest hero when his power was basically handed to him? We're told that he is supposedly analytical and intelligent, but I don't see how that is reflected in his character at all. It's more like he injures himself to add fake tension and "effort" with almost no strategy. He's more retarded than Naruto, which is really saying something.
More of a personal issue with the series, but I also wish there was more of a focus on romance or deep friendships between characters.

He is over-analytical through the entire series. The stupid notebook from his civilizan days is full of shit about every single hero the boy knows. He is so autistic about analysing heroes and villains to the point of it being detrimental to his everyday life (not banging Uraraka who is drooling at him since day one, not questioning the complete stupid social structure of the setting that is generating villains, etc). He also adapts fast to shit being thrown at him. Compared to people who has quirks since a young age, Midoriya has a huge disadvantage, and he does overcome it.
The real problems of MHA is PACING and TONE. The series pacing is all ass-backwards: sometimes shit happens too fast, there's a lot going on during a single freaking day. And then there's a month of fuck all to advance the story. Also, it's pretty clear Horikoshi didn't want to kill anybody since the beginning - he created a bunch of interesting characters and refused to show a more darker side of a society full of weirdos hellbent on fame and power. MHA could be one hell of an anime if embraced a slightly more serious side, taking shots on a society moved by celebrities that can affect the world radically. But nope, can't have that on my shonenslop...
You said you don't like capeshit, so it's very difficult for you to like MHA. I personally put it above Demon Slayer, JJK and the clusterfuck that is Seven Deadly Sins. But it's just a matter of taste at this point.

The notebook stuff was something I always thought of as more about establishing his obsessive interest in being a superhero.
All Might should've died when fighting All For One. Bakugo should've died. A lot of shonen is too scared to kill off characters. Even worse, they will tease the death of a character and then bring them back through bullshit plot armor.
I like Demon Slayer more than BNHA, but I would agree with you that BNHA is better than Seven Deadly Sins. Seven Deadly Sins is a terrible show with almost no redeeming qualities.
I only watched a few episodes of JJK. Literally the only thing I know or remember about the series is that girls like Gojo and that I thought Mai Zenin was hot because she had short hair and a revolver.

Japanese people on Twitter were completely fascinated by how the western cartoon looked compared to the Japanese art for the game, especially with X in particluar. Apparently it's referred to as Rockman USA which is just hilarious. It's also been announced for a couple of months beforehand.

Call me a normie faggot, but I recently started Konosuba and I've been laughing my ass off. Been a long time since an anime really got my attention and wanting to get to the next episode. Just finished the movie and my god, the origin of the Crimson Eye clan is pure kino. I appreciate how absolutely stupid it is and how it just rolls with it. Aqua being an absolute retard is great in a pure comedy series and doesn't have the horrible whiplash that Danmachi gave me (I dropped it) where it wanted to be comedic and serious at the same time and failed at both for the most part outside of very cool fights here and there. Konosuba seems to keep it simple, the main party are a bunch of fuck ups, we are here just to laugh at tropes for a bit and there is even progression narratively with how many demon lords they have taken down, but never forgetting what the real soul of the series is, which is laughs. Watching it in Japanese and the Kasuma voice actor is half the laughs right there.
And yeah, I love Sanji, he's my favorite Mugi, but my god was fishman island rough. I have heard the anime goes harder with the simp and nosebleed jokes, but the manga seems to have calmed down a bit about it or at least that's my cope.

She was pretty vicious at the start of the manga, but mellowed out a LOT as it went through. Kind of gives the impression the mangaka wanted to do some sort of mean spirited story at first, then something happened and he really dialed it back at top speed because he just wasn't feeling the bullying humiliation rituals anymore. It does use a trope that I hate a lot which is "even if you are a pathetic shut in, eventually a kawai UwU girl will notice you and totes hit it off with you by getting you out of your shell!" but outside of the first contacts, the main character does properly step up and improve himself to be worthy of Nagatoro. It's very sweet once it gets going.
Thing is Mineta and Happosai are just their joke, Roshi has a lot more going for him.

That's an anime high on my 'to-watch' list, but I always choose another thing instead of starting it. One of my "cultured" friends said it is just fanservice trash, but let's say his opinions are not to be taken too seriously. Your description makes me want to watch it even more now.
Speaking of normie shit, is anybody watching Okitsura? It's a surprisingly nice watch if you want brain-dead chill vibes and Okinawa lore - and pretty brown japanese girls too.

It is quite fanservicy, won't deny and can see why some would call it trash. It's pretty dumb at the end of the day but it's been making me laugh a lot and managed to engage me more than other things. Give the first episode a cheeky watch and see the vibes that you get.

It's just really fucking lazy. It baits you with a lot of opportunity in world building and characters, but it's as deep as a stain. Deku being considered abnormal for being a superhero autist doesn't make sense when you'd think any super hero would learn a fuckton about other heroes because his life literally depends on it. But it's that way because he needs to appeal to otaku who will waste a fuckton of braincells on minut shit.
It's really depressing how long the isekai trend has gone to when konosuba was parodying the genre and it was one of the first isekai series to reach the west.

Thats why I liked the Vigilantes spin off more than the actual series. Vigilantes was 10/10 and shat all over the actual MHA story.
