First episode of the Little Witch Academia TV series is out, not watched it yet but the two specials were really good in a Harry Potter way so if you're a fan of that series you'll probally like this anime!

Episode 1 of the TV series was amazing, it was just as good as it could've been. I really look forward to what's next.

Also yeah, it's probably one of the most accessible anime I've ever seen. I could really see this taking off.

Just bought myself a ticket to go see the rerelease of the Sailor Moon R Movie in theaters next week. Here's a list of all the showings in the US if you're interested.

I'm so excited, I never imaged I'd be able to see my favorite anime in an actual movie theater!
Bet it would be worth it for that scene where Chibi suffocates Usagi by plugging up her nose!

Too bad I don't have a theater close by that'll play this though (and we were so good about getting those Ghibli movies lately).

Eleven Arts out-did themselves once again, that's awesome news. Looks like they scheduled ahead better than with Digimon Tri, so it's not a one-night-only showing this time.

Personally, I can hardly wait to see the new Yu-Gi-Oh movie in theaters. Seeing Pyramid of Light in theaters was cool and all--if you were a kid in 2004. That's much more of an embarrassment now in hindsight, but Darkside of Dimensions should fill up a theater and be a better experience.

So, I have a confession to make:

I have developed a terrible addiciton to Crunchyroll due to being stuck in my home still recovering from my operation.

Like, I tried it out and now I just have shitloads of stuff on my queue.

I'm also enjoying the current stuff coming out this "season". Konosuba 2, Masamane-kun's revenge, Akiba's trip, Gabriel Fallen Angel, Tanya the Evil, Interview with Monster Girls...

I'm also super excited for the Little Witch Acaedmia TV series...

Please send help.

Haha good luck to her. Anime is like the last mass media thing that's pretty much untouched by the whole feminist/social justice zeitgeist, I guess because geographical reasons.

Which is exactly why a lot of it is pathetic and creepy (like anything, male fantasy going completely unchecked isn't always good), but that's also what's unique and fun about it.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this earlier, but I started watching Revolutionary Girl Utena this week. I'm on episode 12 and enjoying it quite a lot so far.

Tangentially related to anime, this girl keeps posting about "problematic things in anime" on everyone's favorite website, The Mary Sue. Possible cow? She created a "feminist anime site." https://twitter.com/neutralfemale?lang=en

Considering pretty much every single support character is an ultra-strong female (with the protagonist being a boring everyman quite frequently) or is, ya know, a woman. The fuck she on about?

On to my last episode of "Everything Becomes F". I'm not sure how I feel about the revelation or the twists (warning: pretty gross) but damn the OP is catchy as hell.

anime is codeword for anti-white

Even though most of the characters like white. Maybe anime is the Japanese code for self-hate?
anime = boy
sempai = girl
baka = domination play
Studio = sex
Ghibli = dungeon
Miyazaki = tunnels
