Legit, why exactly did Infinite Ryvius win the Television Award?
Hisashi Hirai was a good character designer back then.
Remember, the most popular Gundam series in Japan is fucking SEED.
Just among young people and women. The average Japanese consensus on SEED is that it's bad, which is why SRW heavily rewrote it. I personally like SEED Destiny A LOT though; it's hated because it's very misunderstood and we didn't get most of the answers about things like Durandal trying to assassinate Lacus until this year.

I take it back, your taste isn't as good as I thought it was. This is probably just the /m/ hyperautism acting up again though. After all, some people hate Crossbone and Zone of the Enders; it's not my fault if they choose to be wrong, but they do exist.

Crossbone is too cool to hate. The writing and art may be weak in some spots, but it's still really cool, and that's all that matters.
I think they rag on it because of the artstyle. I'll be frank, /m/ is filled with some of the worst autism I have ever seen and it puts even the /dbs/ threads to shame. It's the only board I actually feel guilty about posting on. It even makes me regret liking mecha.

I don't like nu-/a/ at all but it's still so much better than /m/ that it hurts.

why are you posting normalfag takes like this in a thread about korean basket-weaving instructions? has the hobby really become this polluted that no-one bats an eye at shit like this anymore?
I was going to ask why you're bitch posting about your soft core porn comic adding a fetish you're not into, but someone beat me to it, so I'm just gonna reiterate that its taken days for you to come up with a lack luster retort as to why you're so assmad about someone adding a fetish you're not into, into your fetish material.

I don't think there's a prerequisite to anime that states "You have to be into ecchi." in order to enjoy anime.

And lets be real here, its more like "You have to be into Ecchi specifically I like, as well as the fetishes I like otherwise you aren't an anime fan." which is crazy and fucking gay.

You're a fag who's upset about his 2D Waifu and worse than that you're a fag who thinks that everyone should be into the same shit he's into. Spoiler alert faggot, the subject of your goon sessions aren't a gateway the rest of us need to get to, and its very ironic that somewhere in the world there's some equally degenerate retard who thinks that if you didn't get off to your waifu getting NTR'd then you're not an anime fan.

...On the other hand you are legitimately just here to shitpost. Do you even like Korean Basket-weaving in the first place? Sorry if I hit a nerve by calling you a normie.

The Kero 0 short has no right being so good. It's got JAM Project music, tons of legitimately cool ship designs (the destroyed transport ship and the police fighters), a great space station, a bioship, a cool Starship Troopers-inspired robot, and some Itano circus sequences (with crescent explosions in the background too!). It's probably the best Keroro-related thing out there, but I haven't found the episodes of the main show where they have the robot battle in space yet.
I think they rag on it because of the artstyle.
Hagesawa generally sucks, but the art style makes Crossbone feel like a Brave show, and I love that.

/m/ isn't autistic at all. It's got lots of cool things, whether it be picture dumps, tech spec discussions, or discussions of different intepretations. The only thing wrong with it are the spammers, but even then those result in funny slapfights and samefag sessions. Meanwhile, you couldn't pay me to use /a/ -- it feels like a Discord VC.

For some reason /m/ just never clicked with me. It always felt like a bunch of train autists with really weird senses of aesthetics. I've tried to chat with people in the threads there multiple times but nothing ever really clicks and I always end up feeling completely out of place, it's like it's too autistic for me. The only thread there I ever really stuck with was the plamo thread, and that one was as bad as /ic/ so eventually I just stopped posting there altogether.

/a/ is a dead board and has been ever since gamergate, but between 08 and '12 it was arguably the most fun I had on the site.

I'm not as attached to mecha anime as you guys are but I've always found that the people on /m/ at least LIKE the stuff they watch/talk about as opposed to /a/ where it's 90% bait and summerfags replying to bait. I haven't been on either in a bit but I've found some good recommendations from /m/. Even if they're hyper autistic, I'd still rather have people like that than people on /a/.

It's confirmed that second season of Sakamoto Days is coming out in July 2025. I'm a little bit sceptical of this decision and I won't be surprised of getting a scenario with animation becoming a roller coaster that only goes down.

Goddamn, season 1 isn't even out yet for next 2 months.

Bruh the Oshi No Ko ending is so comically bad. No one learns anything or develops. The MC dies, and his sister recovers from it and lives a good life entirely off screen, all his friends get over everything off screen.

We don't get a single line of dialogue from Ruby that I can recall about her brother dying. Same with their mother. The only reason we know what Akane's thinking is because she got promoted to Narrator the last three chapters and because Aka wanted to use the last chapter to shit on Kana once again.

The story no shit ends with "Who had a better story than Bran the Builder?" vibes.

That just sounds like standard Netflix procedure, they always have like 2 seasons no matter how absolutely wretched the product is. After seeing the trailer... I don't expect much. Sakamoto is the textbook definition of dumb fun. The story is an excuse for the incredibly cool fights. The anime doesn't seem like it will do the manga justice in the only front where it excels. I think it will fail to move the needle and it's a pity, since it could have been pure hype.

We have officially oshied the no ko!

It's a horrible ending but I wouldn't even say Ruby recovers. She just became Ai, a broken mess that hides it all behind her smile. The end makes zero sense, specially when remembering that Aqua was actively against Ruby following in Ai's footsteps due to how shit the idol world is, yet he an heroed to not only push her into it harder and further but also was the catalyst of her becoming a broken doll like Ai, peak writing right there. Basically, what was the point of all of this crap and why did it last more than 50-60 chapters? And as per usual, the reincarnation part is still superfluous at best.

What a trash fire... now to enjoy the online sobbing and calls for his head!

Also Aka, the stupid faggot will release another manga written by him and drawn by the Record of Ragnarok guy. I've already been suckered into reading 2 series from him, so I have zero desire to read anything else from him and something tells me I won't be the only one. Sounds like he intends to do a fantasy shounen series, good fucking luck with that. It also makes me worry for Record of Ragnarok, it's another dumb fun series like Sakamoto and I can't see the mangaka keeping up with it while drawing whatever retarded shit comes out of Aka's mind.

This is actually true. I did not think about it until after I posted but you're 100% right. Ruby actually never recovers, she just lives the life of a liar and hopes that maybe someone else will be able to live happily.

It also makes no sense because one of the reasons Aqua killed their dad was because having a murderer for a father would damage Ruby's reputation, and yet everyone just casually knows she has a murderer for a dad, he killed their mom, and the brother committed suicide over it, and it actually boosts her career.
And as per usual, the reincarnation part is still superfluous at best.
The story literally does not change at all if you get rid of the reincarnation element and cut out crow girl entirely. The only difference is that maybe Dr. Goro is a background character who gets to live.

LOL good luck. Didn't Renai Daikō get cancelled after four volumes? Plus even Japanese Twitter is calling this guy a retard today. Fucking up Kaguya and Oshi No Ko might have just soiled this retard's reputation. He can make a decent enough dough, but he'll burn the fucking pizza.

I just watched Hoshi no Umi no Amuri, a CGI OVA from Yoshitomo Yonetani, and man, this was weird and disappointing. First it starts out as a cool mecha show with Newtypes that's reminiscent of GaoGaiGar (there was a garbage robot, a rescue robot with a giant syringe, and areas that look like cakes and board games), and then it transitions into a surrealist weirdo magical girl show like Utena, which is when any potential it had went down the drain. For some reason, it REALLY loves showing the little girl characters in pain -- it's probably the most visible pain I've seen any characters in any media experience. It's very creepy, and I ended up skipping over most of the magical girl fight scenes just to avoid seeing that. I have no idea why anyone would enjoy that; it takes what should be awesome and exhilerating and makes it depressing. The most interesting things about this OVA are these air candies they eat that allow them to breathe in space for 5-minute increments, the space stations, and the auxilary robots, which can transform and have a cool launch sequence:

Aside from those things, just Goldion Hammer this show out of existence. Gai would never allow this type of suffering ever!

Also, are there any weird CGI anime movie/OVA recs? Animation quality doesn't matter; I've found those to be the closest thing we have to the classic 80s/90s OVA in the modern age.

Now that everyone here is convinced you're the coolest guy in the world, can you please go back to 2007 4chan and stay there?

Speaking of 2007 and arrested development, anime more than any other medium makes me conscious of how fast a life can pass you by. The sheer volume of it makes it impossible to keep up with every show that piques my interest, so my backlog only ever continues to grow. Eventually I get a little extra free time and think, "Time to finally watch that new season of Non Non Biyori" or whatever. Then I realize that "new" season is already three years old, and I wonder how the hell three years can pass by in a blink, and it occurs to me I'm not calling my parents as often as I should. Can anyone here relate?
