When I say Tezuka is the best comic book creator of all time, people don't get it because they only know Astro Boy and Adolf. But his sci-fi stories are fucking bangers

This is about birds get big brained by being feed by aliens who velieve creatures that flies are superior to humans, so they start killing humans by various ways and get esper powers and shit

Then lets go to south africa where there was still segregrated cities between whites and blacks. When they attack the white cities, they flee to the Black cities and guess what happens

Probably hentai sex comedies, hilariously enough.

Goodnight Punpun may have been the first one to treat it seriously and realistically, though.
Ah, good ol depresion the manga... fascinating but miserable for the most part. And yeah, it's one of the very few works of fiction I've seen that shows how "Nice" ain't so nice and can completely fuck up a kid.
I don't know if this is off topic but I'm having a crack at this, thought I should share

Nah, assuming I even had a fraction of the talent needed, I like not being overworked to exhaustion, I'm good. And you would probably be treated like shit for not being native Japanese anyway.

Though in case anybody is interested, in Sueisha there is a series called No Names which is made by... I think a polack and a brazilian and it's honestly pretty neat.

Holy motherfucking based (and batshit insane). Those birds are hardcore.

@ShitLurker

Turns out the birds were just the beginning, tezuka goes fucking insane and we get another 70's masterpiece... Eventually when enough time comes they evolve into birdmen that uses humans as pawns in their war games
Screenshot_20241103-141646-870.png

And then we get inside the bird-earty politics, what kind rules where and how they

Screenshot_20241103-145232-918.png Screenshot_20241103-141840-585.png

But the gamers were rising up, trying to create a revolution to win against the birdmen by using the old humanity weapons against them.

Screenshot_20241103-142131-518.png

Execpt this was just a ploy to kill a birdman rival and steal their land, there was a traitor amongst the humans... A fucking woman

Screenshot_20241103-142449-699.png

And the birdmen society continues to change, they even used healthy eggs as money

Screenshot_20241103-142640-481.png

Until.... Is that... Oh yes... It is the for...

Great, do you have the blacklisted chapters of black jack?

Just finished watching Girls' Last Tour for the first time. Man... the series have such a blissful mood for a setting this hopeless. The ending still felt like a "happily ever after" despite the fact that alien gods ate last bits of human history, are ending the world and there's nobody left in the entire endless city save for the girls.
Overall great road movie. Totally recommended, especially if you're a fan of the genre.

You should read the manga because the anime doesn't adapt the final couple of chapters of the manga. I'm glad you enjoyed it though.

Good to know and will do because I'm really interested whether the ending in manga actually brings girls adventure and story in general to conclusion or not.

That's like telling a dude who's been kicked in the balls to stand above a Seesaw.

Saw this in theaters last night. A bit generic, but beautifully animated
I saw that film when I was about 12. Probably the first time I was wowed by an anime, especially with the ending.

No offense, but that's dark. Even All Tomorrows isn't that Nihilistic

Holy shit, Science SARU is saving shonen slop. This latest episode of DanDaDan was so fucking good, I couldn't stop grinning.
Watched it yesterday and it was fantastic. Loved that you expect them to have a big anime spat, but Momo is actually well written enough to understand the other side rather than be a jealous bitch like pretty much every other anime.

The characters themselves make the relationship feel kind of realistic, they aren't as one sided as a lot of fantasy relationships, but also doesn't fall into the trap of the characters seemingly having no sexual tension between them.

It's nice to know that Tezuka's lesser-known works are getting released in the States. They even kept the original artwork intact, with the disclaimer being that those sorts of depictions were "of its time" instead of being redrawn.

I'll be vague as to avoid spoilers for non-manga readers, but to me the best part of the entire series is that all of the characters behave similarly to Momo. Every character acts like a person rather than a trope. When they have issues they work them out. They misjudge people sometimes and get over it.

The Dandadan team actually feel like they're a friend group that's possible despite the insanity of the circumstances of their meetings. The last chapter of the manga was a perfect example of showing them off too because every one of the side characters in the team got a few pages to shine and look awesome despite it being a very silly chapter.
