He knows its expensive. He didn't know HOW BAD. He trusted his goddess to be more fiscally responsible if we're being completely real.
How you an apology, I spazzed out about the knife but didn't notice that Lili just threw it into the floor and that the dipshits that stole her shit took her fire dagger thing only.

Also, saw episode 8, Bell vs red minotaur was fucking peak. I'm also loving Bell being an absolute nerd during his interactions with Ais from the "roll and retreat" to the leg pillow -> scream -> kick to face cycle. For now I'm in I'd say.
Looks like Damian’s mom might be an Esper as well. I kinda hope we get minor time skips going forward. Rather than one big one, just Lloyd during better at his job, but being increasingly compromised by his cover family. Yor forming a more cohesive identity about what she does and gaining confidence in herself. Yuri slowly trusting Lloyd and growing into his role. Anya becoming less retarded.
I'm gonna go an a limb and just assume she's a very bored housewife from a very distant "man" and this is one of her weird hobbies that she keeps to herself.

How the fuck do you people remember past seasons and shit? I gotta go back and rewatch them because I just forget 90% of what happened
It probably depends on how many shows a season someone watches. I don't think there's been a season in the past two decades where I've watched more than three or four new anime (at least beyond the first episode) so I remember everything but I can understand how someone who watches a dozen shows a season might lose track.

Nevermind, I misread the question. The on-point answer would be that I personally don't have that much trouble remembering plot points of past seasons of a show but sometimes I check Wikipedia "List of Episode" pages or show-specific wikis for plot points, not that I generally watch a lot of anime that even get a second season anymore.

I guess my brain is trying to aggressively memory hole all the autism I consume
Not sure what to say, I just for some reason naturally remember most things.

My other guess would be there might be some communal reinforcement. If you're watching a show then discussing it online and/or with friends, that's gonna help you remember "the episode with the really controversial plot point" or "the episode where the kid did something adorable" or whatever.

(Though I tend to only watch anime I'm interested in, I don't tend to care about seasons).

Gigacuck has humiliated himself yet again:
https://youtube.com/watch?v=GZDss932VTU
God, imagine being an anime fan for two decades and not knowing what Grendizer, Candy Candy, Ideon, Space Cobra, Cyber Formula, and DNA^2 are, and barely knowing what 0079, Zeta, and Nadia are. The Ideon one is especially embarrassing considering how much he likes Evangelion.
Gigguk has always ignored conspicuously good shows, even more recently he wanted nothing to do with ascendance of a bookworm (never finished it, if it gets bad later you can beat me with reeds) and he frankly comes across as a weird guy to get anime recommendations from. He's unapologetically a pervert who is proud of his trash taste, even having a podcast of the same name. I guess he's the personification of the modern anime normie.
The new Spy x Family chapter is really good, its cool to see stuff finally progress, it felt like its been a long time.
Spy x Family is really strange to me because its intended to be a slice of life that can potentially go on indefinitely, but it keeps getting sidetracked to tell an actual story. It's really good, don't get me wrong, but I feel mentally flashbanged every time it gets sidetracked telling the ill fate of an all women battalion or showing exactly how dysfunctional the Desmond family is. I suspect that the reason it can get so good when it gets serious is because the format allows the author enough time to write the story segments well while publishing harmless fluff.

it's funny because the last podcast he was on was filled with delusional retards who thought their taste was the best

Hopefully that Full Metal Panic sequel doesn't go a similar route with similar problems

He's the DSP of anime, except even more pathetic because watching cartoons takes absolutely zero effort while playing video games does require some skill. He's only so popular because he's one of the few early Youtube-era anime reviewers to avoid copyright strikes, which was a result of his poor editing skills. That said, I have no idea how he has such a massive fanbase and managed to avoid getting a detractor community larger than his fanbase; he makes zero effort to say or watch anything interesting and just cares about COOOOOOOOOOM while latching onto terrible shows like Sword Art Online or Big 3 shonen for said coom.

The reason why Gigguk is popular now is because his opinions on anime fall in line exactly with whatever the current zeitgeist of the community at large is. My Hero Academia was most hype shit ever till Demon Slayer came out. Then Demon Slayer was the most hype anime until people got bored with. Now he's on Chainsaw Man, because people for some reason are under the delusion that Chainsaw Man is good. I'm sure he'll pay lip service to the Dandadan anime in his fall anime list since its a new hype thing, but all of Gigguk's opinions are just whatever the popular opinion at the time is.

I realized this was his opinion when MHA was on Season 6, and like half the season was pretty meaningful fights and character development and his entire perspective on a show he used to gush about was "Its pretty good but not quite hype enough yet." and didn't expand upon his thoughts on that further, and the reason he didn't is because he didn't have an opinion. The anime darling at the time was Demon Slayer and he might get criticized if he didn't agree with it. Its really only been in the last year when people are largely bored with Demon Slayer that Gigguk has come out and started to shit talk it.

Don't people realize how disingenuous and dishonest this is? How can they trust him as an anime reviewer when he won't dare express a single contrarian opinion or explore the medium beyond what's popular?

No, because as long as their opinion changes with the majority every time, people won't have issues with anything they say. People don't watch Gigguk for his insights. They watch him to hear how youtuber also agrees with their opinion.

How insecure do you have to be to like that?! It's literal slop content, and it's boring having everyone agree with your opinion -- you won't have any spirited discussions otherwise.

The "NPC" meme exists for a reason. you be surprised how many people dont want to have their own opinion and just wanna be told how to think or how to feel.

You're right, he's literally the NPC animetuber. It seems pretty pathetic to me to base your entire career on sticking your finger up in the air and shifting with the cultural winds. It's uninteresting too, I'd much rather watch a guy who's always trying to convince me that some universally panned show is actually good, or showcasing obscure movies or older stuff that a guy like me wouldn't know about otherwise. That's the worst part about Gigguk, he's boring, because repeating what's popular constantly is the dullest and lowest effort form of content there can be.

His boring because that's where the money is. No one wants to sponsor someone that sticks out and have "debatable" opinions every week. Youtube has fostered this behavior and has ruined the creativity and edge out of many content creators. Just look at penguinz0 or SomeOrdinaryGamers, the biggest content creators on the platform with the most boing milk toast takes and they somehow are the "voices" of the masses.

But lets talk about anime. Yeah, this season fucking sucks! got nothing to watch. no, i will not watch Dandadan. not my thing.

I did find Witch hat atelier thanks to Gigguk. I also think he's full of shit since he sold it to me as a very system heavy manga but being up to date, magic is whatever the hell the author needs at a given moment and there is nothing clearly defined when it comes to any of the more elaborate spells about how they are supposed to work. It's also reached the point of "the 10 year old girl is wiser than all of us!" so even though I think it started strong and the art is honestly fantastic, don't think I'll get back into it.

I actually enjoy Scamboli Reviews for this reason. He isn't as active of a youtuber, but I forgive him that because anyone who still uses the word "retard" and calls shit gay on youtube in 2024 is automatically more endearing to me.
