Even on elitist forums like /a/? I've always wondered why that is; I never had that issue.
ESPECIALLY on elitist forums like /a/! Try to talk about anything other than what's going on this seeing and watch your thread fly all the way to page 10 with two replies. 4chan is just reddit which is just twitter. It's all the fucking same.

They were selling blu-rays of two episodes each for full price.
How in the everliving fuck could they have thought that was a good idea. Forget greed, expecting consumers to pay up like that flies in the face of common sense.

Bro, have you seen the sequel to that? The animation was so dogshit.

I wasn't aware that Attack No.1 got a sequel series, unless you were referring to the 2 other female volleyball anime titles that came out afterwards in Ashita e Attack (Attack on Tomorrow) and Attacker YOU!, which aren't in anyway related.

Is it just me or is this season looking really good? I don't watch shows while they are airing as a personal rule, but I have nine or ten shows from this season on my watch list, which is pretty abnormal.

Only shows I am actively avoiding are Nokotan because all of the trannies and Plus-Sized Elf because that is the absolute most retarded translation of the title.

My favourite thing about JJK’s ending is everyone screaming ‘there is not enough time for the merger’ as if that was ever going to happen or was even the point.

That was meant to be the bad ending that we will never see.

Kenjaku’s perfect vessel and the next evolution of sorcerery that Gojo wanted was quite clearly Yuji.

But everyone is screaming the ending is rushed and can’t be done in 4 chapters when the fact is there is barely that amount of story left to tell anyways.

or the original DESU anime Rozen Maiden?
Despite the meme, I haven't seen people talk about it in ages. I only remembered its existence within the last few years because my brother randomly chose to watch it and enjoyed it immensely that he had to talk about it and still does.

Using MAL numbers is fucking gay, but it's quite telling that even though it's one of the first 100 anime to get put on the database, Rozen Maiden's popularity has continued to get overshadowed by newer seasons due to Zoomers not learning how to pirate/find any other streaming service besides Crunchyroll and Netflix. It's no longer in the top 1000 popular shows when I remember it being up there a long time ago.

Those numbers are absolutely pitiful. It looks just as bad on AniDB despite that popularity rank because it's a smaller database (and the whole popularity rank is a look into the past simply because MAL is much more popular with Zoomers).

It's just not getting new fans.

When it comes to older anime (anything past 2010 is considered old to them, WELCOME TO THE FUTURE BOOMERS) most zoomers really won't bother unless its popular shounen anime that aired on toonami at some point or anime that are highly rated on MAL. You'll never catch a zoomer talking about Memosyne or some shit. I don't even think zoomers watch shit like Elfen Lied or Higurashi anymore, though based on how they react to shit like MHA and CSM on twitter they wouldn't be able to handle them.

I've still met Zoomers who have, but that's simply because they're so high up on the popularity list that they kinda can't ignore it, and then there's the manga being sold in B&N and such. Also having an edgy phase is universal.

I do reckon in about ten years you'll stop hearing about younger fans watching those titles, though. Higurashi's numbers have slowed down from when I last checked the score in 2022 (though Sotsu continues to have mid-level numbers, hasn't gone up) simply because the more recent series has come-and-gone and no one's talking about it anymore and newer anime that gets hyped out the ass pushes titles further down. Attention spans really are just that fucked.

So it's a slow anime season and I finally decided to catch up on my white whale, the Bakemonogatari series. Watching it in the novel order this time, which is now possible because unlike last time I tried to catch up the Kizumonogatari movies are actually out. And holy shit, it's almost too bad the series is just known for Toothbrushing and 500 year old loli vampire antics because those movies are phenomenal. Unfortunately, Hanekawa was sending out such powerful wife material vibes that it is going to convince me Araragi is a villain for not picking up on them and falling for literally the first other woman to give him any attention.
I absolutely love the tangible character development/growth in the Monogatari series - most notably with Hanekawa, Senjougahara, and Nadeko (especially in the currently-airing season).

How far have you made it into the series? I’d hate to spoil anything you haven’t yet seen.

I'm watching the end season after losing interest last time (I think it was due to the first half being devoted to yet another new girl that didn't really felt like it had a point). It's a shame how Shaft lost their talent, I love how they have absolutely insane animation for what amounts to 20 minutes of talking.

This run I'm just starting Nisemonogatari, my first attempt got me to shortly after the introduction of Yotsugi Ononoki I think.

all over that already
From what I've heard, a large number of anime fans being "transgender" is a Western thing (Anglosphere and non-Mediterranean Europe?) -- and of course a Current Year thing.
