Is the series still dead? I really liked A's, both series and movie: stellar pacing, interesting back and forth battles, and great character development (Fate actually having to complete her arc from season 1 rather than considering it completed back then is a really satisfying nuance). Too bad season 1 is a lot more on the mediocre side imo.

It's an absolute brainrot manga/anime, and I am here for it, but I'm an absolute sap for "weird shit happens and the straight man screams about it" stuff. Megumi Han is killing it as Nokotan, and Saki Fujita is doing a great job at switching between Torako's yankee and honor student attitudes. I only knew the latter as Mahiru from Working! and as the basis of Miku Hatsune's voice.

I really like Mushoku Tensei and I refuse to elaborate. Give me your precious puzzle pieces.

If I remember right (only read the WN and it's been a while) he never appears in rudeus form there (hitogami basically just shrugs at him and says 'that's what your soul looks like bro') but he does eventually decide that hitogami's a dick and tells him to fuck off (reasons cited: brings up bad memories, tries to make people do his bidding, plans seem strange and ill-intentioned, encourages backslides and eggs on bad behavior). Then Rudy dies a very old man surrounded by his grandchildren with the assurance that they'll kill that bastard within their lifetimes, so I guesss that was the right choice.

Mushoku Tensei reminds me a lot of Negima honestly, in that there's maybe half a volume of cool action moments spread across far, far too much weapons-grade harem degeneracy, and I feel very uncomfortable reading either since I hit the age of majority.

I've watched about half a dozen anime in my existence, and I'm honestly amazed, this is by far, no exaggeration, the faggiest shit I have ever seen, you would have to be born an actual imbecile, molested for 10 years straight, and given a heavy concussion to unironically like this show. I am genuinely sorry that I slacked off during my educational years, for now, I lack the vernacular to properly insult this vile slop of a Japanese pedophile's cartoon for the deranged and perverted.

The highlights have got to be, in my opinion:
  1. A perverted m.c. with literally no morals that has a shrine with the underwear of a woman 10 times his age, made when he was 4;
  2. Him losing his virginity to a 16-year-old as a 15-year-old, she being his fucking cousin
  3. And an un-ironic second season ( that mind you, this show is in a magical world ), where half the run time, I shit you not, was wasted on him fixing his fucking erectile dysfunction after being one night stand'ed by his cousin.
So knowing all of this, how in the name of the mother, does this have this score?

Considering the entire industry, it's pretty galling for anyone within it to criticise others for landing positions for being connected or sucking dick.
Not to mention that a nepo baby is someone who gets a super high position for no real effort of his part, not "got an average/low tier position in a small place".
 
Sakuna-Hime had an absolutely stunning first episode. Nice to see a game getting an actually decent budget. It's probably payed by the Japanese department of agriculture. The exposition dump is kinda heavy, but at least they get it over with.

Also watched Nige(r) Jouju and it looks absolutely fantastic, got really fucking dark fast. I thought it will be some slice of life from the OP and then it's like "oh yeah everybody is dead, including the girl that wanted to marry the protagonist, she git raped beforehand".
And Fat Elf has good uncensored tits. I wish IRL fat women weren't so disgusting in every way.
I also want to watch the new Monogatari tomorrow. I don't think I ever finished the second half of the last season.

Finished watching Slayers, Slayers next, Slayer premium and all the movies and OVAs. heard the newer stuff is rather boring and repetitive so i think im gonna stop it there. It was a very enjoyable ride.
 
Despite mentioning Devilman previously, I'd never actually watched the series. Its interpretation of Demons is seriously interesting, making them basically fucked up ancient animals, like the Thing. No malice necessarily, just pure instincts to survive. Plus lots of nightmare fuel.

Then I watched the Netfux sellout bastardization called Crybaby, and it made me want to cry... Not because it was good, but because the horrid "animation" (a stretch to call it that) was so piss poor. It's an exemplar of how far an industry can fall in less than 20 years. Go Nagai weeps.

Behold a "melee" from Crybaby...

And compare it to just one single 1v1 brawl from the cancelled OVA series 18 years prior.

I did not understand the hype around Crybaby after watching it. The first episode is the only one where anything close to shocking happens, the rest of it is just kind of dumb.
It's possible I didn't get it, but, the whole series is just kind of silly, and the art style completely removes whatever grit there's supposed to be. How can I be shocked or gripped when everything looks so loose and rubbery and weightless?

If there's one thing I appreciate about Crybaby though, it's that it's brave. It adapts devil man in a new contemporary way for the time, and if i don't like it there is plenty of devilman to go around and compare it to. It's a lot like Zelda in that way. It just so happens this minimalist and pastel style didn't work for me.
 
So the second pillar of Anime on Latin américa, Saint Seiya just ended after shitload of years and people are divided about it, you see, Next dimension was considered at first a dick move from Kurumada (the author) because he was insisting in wanting to explain the Great Holy War before the Hades arc, thing that was already show perfectly on Lost Canvas and fans called him a bitch that was envious of the Lost Canvas success, i readed all the 118 chapters in a day to see what the fuzz was about and put a list of things that went hilariously wrong

  1. For starters the only thing that Lost Canvas share with Next Dimension is that it happen 200 years in the past, Hades is propped as the big bad with Alone and Tenma coming back but then Kurumada forget they exist
  2. Tenma and Alone don't do ANYTHING for 100 episodes, yeah, Kurumada forgot those 2 existed until the very end where he give Tenma the Sagittarius cloth to shot a Hades judge and the big bad with a special arrow that has not been ever mentioned
  3. The entire thing is another Sanctuary arc but with Goldens saints fighting Golden saints or other bronze saint that are not Seiya (because this one is still crippled after the Hades fight)
  4. The entire conga about making the 13th golden saint the big bad was ridiculous, its seems that Kurumada was going to repeat Hades with Crateris replacing Saga, Camus and Shura (Gemini, Aquarius and Sagittarius) but then noticed covering all of this like he did on Hades would take to much time (Hades is divided in 3 arcs even in anime) so he asspulled a 13th golden saint probably to sell more toys
  5. The entire big revelation is that there was never a big bad, the universe is shitting itself because Athena came back in time to destroy Hades sword to prevent Seiya from dying because he got stabbed by it and was slowly killing him, The Pope, Crateris and the 13th Gold saint knew this and decide to conspire and become traitors to kill her because if she did not die or was returned in 3 days the Athena of this time could not wake up, the timeline would change and destroy everything very bad, and i mean the earth was shaking so bad that the sun was shaking in the sky
  6. The 13th golden saint plot was weak, he was just a saint that had amazing healing powers but somehow he got greedy and believed he was better than the gods, Athena kicked his ass and sealed him on a jail in the underworld so hardcore that not even Hades like to be near of it, because of Athena coming back in time he manages to come back to kill Athena then comes the other point
  7. The 13th only serve as a big bad to play with the plot of the saints changing sides because there is some that want to protect her without knowing she is fucking stuff up
  8. At the almost end Kurumada decided to give up after years of people shitting on him and reset the timeline to make Lost Canvas canon again
  9. Now comes the point of debate of all of this that has latin america to the point of war in the end the Athena of the past managed to remove the sword from Seiya, and she and her bronze saints finally return to the present , sadly the gods are furious to her because she almost destroyed all the universe for a single human, Artemis judge her that she need to be jailed for 100 years and her saints needed to be eradicated and the sanctuary destroyed, Apollo appears and complain this is to little and want Athena killed for what she did, after all of this Seiya appear and do the most dumb thing he has done in all this years, he kowtow to Apollo to ask for mercy, people was outright disgusted by this because this is Seiya the man that managed to beat 2 fucking gods with his bare hands and everyone believed he was going to repeat the fight he did with him on the Tenkai hen movie
  10. The thing end with Apollo punishing Athena by stripping her of her divinity so she will die a human with no memories of anything she has done until now, all her saints got spared because they were only following orders but their memories are also wiped out and the Sanctuary has been destroyed with only Aioros will remaining in the rubbles
  11. There are people actually praising Saint Seiya Omega because it was less of a disaster than this
