Aren’t the Japanese not very strict about the whole abortion issue?

Kunhiko Ikuhara worked on Sailor Moon and was so disturbed by the "perfect romance" crap that he went on to make Revolutionary Girl Utena to point out how creepy older predators use that shit to manipulate vulnerable young people, because anyone with practical experience knows that irl relationships just don't work like that.
Wasn't this guy trying to force Usagi and Rei together against the will of everyone else in creative control?

You would think by that age that you would know better.

Could be dementia/diminished capacity. Most people tend to start showing some cognitive issues in their 70's. 60's is really the last decade where I think it can be said that most adults are typically fully cognitively functional if they have no other impacting medical conditions. I have seen this many times in my grandparents, other family members, family friends, etc... for some reason 70's appears to be the beginning of cognitive decline for most people.

Trying to convince them of this as an outside observer is pointless. "I've never been able to remember what happened 6 months ago, I have no idea what you are talking about" despite being able to recall just about anything they have experienced in their life in full detail until they were about 73. Most people make the mistake of thinking that if it isn't medically pathological, their loved one is 100%. That's not really how it works. There can be subtle decline in cognitive faculties that hasn't yet reached the point of a pathological definition. Once you reach the point where it is medically classified, there is already significant loss of function.

how exactly can a 70 year old man smack around someone at the prime of their youth? a simple push would be enough to end him at that point.

Depends on the seventy year old. Most people are getting frail by then, but occasionally you'll come across one who could still lift twice their weight. Not to mention that the older someone is, the more fights they've been in, and so know how to effectively hurt someone with less effort.

If you don't believe me in this, feel free to pick a fight with my father and see for yourself. Good luck.

I don't remember coming across this before. Rei tried very hard to get into Mamoru's pants at one stage, though. Maybe she was hoping for a threesome?

Watamote new chapter is so fucking funny it hurts

I can imagine someone only familiar with the anime reading the latest chapter and wondering who the hell Sachi and Sayaka are.

And, yes, I remember Sayaka (and Akari) actually did appear in episode 3 of the anime (as the two girls who visited Tomoki when he was sick) but they didn't really get fleshed-out personalities until after the anime.

Finally read through the interview, and A-ko, bringing shamefur to her family as an unmarried woman now in her 30s, was definitely a retard giving him her number out of fanaticism (she had to have put it in one of her fan letters unless Furuya went out of his way to track down her cell from her mailing address). I doubt she was the only one who did, and probably wasn't the first to take the bait, but she was likely the most vulnerable one to take advantage of.

Damningly, one of the first things Furuya said for his interview was say that because his memory's not as good anymore he wasn't going to contest A-ko's claims on him saying or doing something to her on such-and-such date. Therefore, if she's lying at any given point, he's just going to let her rake him across the coals. This isn't a defense against the man for having an affair and later smacking her around, he's scum for doing that, it's just something Japanese society doesn't exactly care about when it comes to adultery and a lovers' quarrel. The abortion angle is probably what's going to get him in hot water with fans, and even then I don't think he's going to lose his roles. We'll have to wait and see in the upcoming weeks.

Toru Furuya is canceled

Had affair with a 30 something and forced her to abort the baby. Hes in his 70s btw.

But I thought abortions are a progressive cause to strive for much like trans rights and white genocide???

Right now we put the preservation of life above the care of life and the safety of life, let alone the quality of life.

There are plenty of good men in this world that’ve had affairs and repented. The same can be said of men who have to tolerate how ludicrously infuriating women are and have only unintentionally raised their hand to a woman once within the span of several decades. As for the abortion, I dunno man, was she fucking chained to the wall? Did he bring the doctor in and make him do it? Did he put a katana to her head and walk her precariously down the steps to the hospital? It sounds like someone yelled at her to get one and she did it. My wife yells at me a lot, it doesn’t mean I have to do what the fuck she wants.

I dunno, we don’t know the whole situation but it sounds like some retarded telenovela jap shit.
