Manga is a minefield once you step outside the safety of the mainstream... This one was partially my fault, I should've expected it because the cover was honestly kinda sus, but the premise of My Dog Becomes A Human was funny enough. Just four pages in it gets weird though:

It's cute, but the art is pretty rough lol... It's nice though, good vibe. The old grandpa was funny, I'm a sucker for old guys in anime. It's one of the better things I've read recently, thanks for the recommendation.

A lot people were hoping that Season 2 would match Season 1's quality of animation. But that was Studio Madhouse. This is JC Staff, not a bad studio but fans have high expectations.

Horus, prince of the Sun, about Marxism. Because people work together and value culture and tradition. Plays Chrono trigger music in the background. The most un-marxist game, Square. Downplays Hayao Miyazaki calling the film shit while trying to implying Toei sabotage the film giving themselves a big budget flop. In Japan.

Shinkalion: Change The World is coming out in April. I'll probably watch it, but the first episode preview that came out isn't looking good -- slideshow animation abounds and the new mascot design is terrible. Hopefully the older kids will still mean it's a good kids' show and not a generic shounen show -- it should be like Dagwon in that case.

I legit feel like fucking royalty on this site for the price of free, always up to date, no ads, they auto skip both the intro and the outro, and they even autoplay the next episode in the season - Legit never had a better experience

The fight scene they showed in the teaser didn't look bad at all. Granted, it's a trailer and it's supposed to show off good animation, but I'm cautiously optimistic.

Lower your expectations, nothing new or interesting happens up to the point the manga is now. Best case you get slice of life.

Next season is pretty much Mushoku Tensai and Konosuba for me but I'll probably watch various isekai/fantasy anyway.

I see these literal niggers are still tossing shit around the "Yamato is a hacktshualy trans because she identifies as a man" spiel years after it was announced like it's anything worth even thinking two seconds on- They are still forcing it so hard when the reality that even a literal infant could see is that it's nothing but a throwaway quirk to make the character more unique because she idolizes a man and wishes to follow in his footsteps, all to validate their pathetic, pathetic porn addled lives.

The only good non-joke tranny I ever saw in a creative work was from Fire Punch with the female movie Otaku who literally has a healing factor. The sheer irony of her situation along with her being more or less obsessed with becoming Clint Eastwood is why it works.

Every other tranny is someone who evokes disgust in me. I had comic fans say that Sandman was some great series and it’s just mid. Some of the stories are good, but the tranny one is just bad. It’s like Dog Day Afternoon where the whole thing is carried by Pacino, there’s one good story and I can’t even remember it beyond visceral disgust at the tranny part although in Dog Day it’s funny.

Although Ryoji is more of a crossdresser than anything. Kyuubei is her own unique category.
Japs are good at writing troons, probably because an actual core component/arc in their character is the problem of the dysphoria itself rather making them a brave stunning queen that nobody is dared allowed to make jabs at for being obviously odd.

That's the great thing about anime/manga. The creators don't have any quotas to hit, so whatever they put in their story comes from a general want to use a type of character. So when you have any "group" represented, it's mostly because the writer actually wanted to write/draw a character like that, if only because their design would be unique or they want to explore a certain topic/psychology, also without worrying about losing their job for offending someone on twitter.
