Got up to speed with all of Dandadan. What a fucking wild ride! I've had a ton of fun with it and the mangaka goes HARD on the double page spreads. Everything is so bizarre yet high energy that keeps the whole thing going. Some highlights:

- Awesome little combination attack between Ken and best girl Aira (who I'm I kidding, all are best girls)
1698579284856.png
- Go full metal head to beat the classical music barrage
1698579185970.png
- The first time Moe Moe Kikoho is used (Tien Shin Han shed a tear that day)
1698579013800.png
- Kinta getting his time to shine while saving Valmore and setting up his goddamn mecha, that fucking stare down is pure PEAK
1698578507124.png
- Reiko fucking punching an alien fleet after being set up like 50 chapters ago for basically this exact moment
1698579542678.png
- The latest bit of madness from the current arc, just how much shit is put in a single double spread

And this is without me even going into the more hilarious stuff out there. This has been a gem, Gantz but actually fun is how I would define it.

OK, I'm done sperging about it for now.

Finally, another DanDaDan enjoyer. Also, one of the best page of the series isn't even an action panel.

Funny thing is, this isn't even a mistranslation, He says グローバリスト (gurōbarisuto), so yeah, it really is globalist. Funnier thing is, the main alien globalist is half-lizard.

I only watched a few episodes of Midori Days but it trotted out the "how the fuck do I take a piss with my GF as my hand" almost immediately and I don't see how it could possibly top that.

Read the manga first then or just watch the anime as it comes out?
Watch the anime. They did a fantastic job with almost every aspect of it minus the opening which doesn't fit whatsoever. If you're a fan of the anime, then go ahead and read the manga. I have a general idea of where it might end but I'm not certain. It's still pretty early into the anime too (8 out of 28 episodes) so there's still time to be caught up with the anime.

Oh right, I did notice that little word drop but didn't take it to it's full interpretation. God I loved binging this shit. Deserves an anime from one of the studios that does justice to set pieces even if the rest of the manga is stills with moving mouths.

is TV-friendly softcore porn a recurring thing in anime
i avoided watching any anime until this year
Yeah as long as anime has been around. 90% of it is low quality shit but there are some gems believe it or not. Keijo!!! is so fucking stupid it wraps around to being genius.

If it isn't your thing (I don't blame you whatsoever), it's easy enough to avoid.

how can someone jerk off to it
they don't show genitals or boobs it's just japanese VAs squealing while something fairly innocent happens
i mean it's clearly for higher ratings in otherwise innocuous shows but still

Seeing how the Undead Unluck anime is going, David Production is probably the best it can get, apart from Ufotable.

Midori Days is a strange idea for a romcom, but it's one of the cutest, funniest shounen romcoms of the 2000s. Sad the anime only has 13 episodes, there's so much left out from the manga.

Midori no Hibi was good, but this my opinion, I hated Midori, other than becoming a right hand, she was bland and unremarkable, and in the manga she was kinda unlikeable. I prefer the other manga made by the same guy, though it is harem, there are touching moments, Love Collage.

And his short lived comedy which is a spinoff of Midori no Hibi

Does anybody remember guilty crown? I just felt randomly nostalgic for some reason. Great fights and music but literally every episode has a series altering twist. It started out as a dude with a nano sword fighting mechs and just spirals out of control.

Basically there was barely any room to breath when it constantly alternates between themes, settings and genres. I was still kind of fond of it though.

Lol Guilty Crown was quite a ride, and I watched it years after the fact. Sucks it had multiple-personality disorder when there was no reason for it. I do kinda wish I saw it as it aired, that was apparently an experience from what I've heard.

If there was ever a better example than Guilty Crown of a series trying to appeal to every demographic by pretty much throwing everything that was remotely popular in anime together and hoping it all sticks, I have no idea it exists.

I did like Inori though. Great OP theme too.
