It's pretty much like DIO's World parts 3 + 4 where all of the budget went to the road roller and everything else suffered. Killer Queen's DUWANG quality now probably means him actually using the First Bomb will be really awesome.

Thus is the unfortunate (but hilarious) result when you outsource to a Korean studio. Thanks David Production!

Oh goody, we're doing this again. I swear, sometimes I don't even know why I'm keeping up with the anime.
Part IV can also be aptly named "Araki loves 90s shonen." Josuke and Okuyasu are basically Yusuke and Kuwabara, Koichi turns into Super Saiyan 2 Gohan with his Stand basically being Cell, Red Hot Chili Pepper was his take on Frieza, etc. On the plus side though, characters stop turning Super Saiyan until the end of part V.

You losers need to watch the currently airing adaption of Mob Psycho 100.

For those unaware, ONE, the creator of the original One-Punch Man webcomic(not to be confused with the fancy redrawn manga version by Murata), has made other series, the biggest one being the serialized manga Mob Psycho 100. Well, most likely due to the success of OPM, this work just got an adaption as well.

And it's amazing. From the trippy technicolor opening, to the fact that it sticks to ONE's original unique style rather than trying to look like other anime, to the amazing plot that balances drama, humor, and heartfelt moments, it's everything I ever wanted from an adaption of the series.

I normally never bring up anime at all but anyone that liked OPM in any form or the original manga version of Mob Psycho need to watch this

Episode 5 was one of the best singular episodes of any anime I've ever seen. It's definitely an instant classic.

Before I read the last couple chapters, I was kinda worried about Billy Bat petering off towards the end. That has somewhat changed now.
Though the plot still takes a bunch of cues from 20th Century Boys, what with Timmy Sanada strongly reminding me of Friend and the world kinda getting fucked thanks to his involvement while the Kevins keep everyone's hopes up with their comics similar to Kenji's rock music.
EDIT: Also, turns out that Billy Bat HAS actually ended now, it's just that Mangafox didn't have the last chapter uploaded for whatever reason.

I really doubt there'll be a sequel to Bleach, for better or worse I've enjoyed the series but I whole-heartedly agree it has really declined in the last several years. Sales have been tanking for years and this last chapter has put it in the ground for sure.
I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did. Bleach has great artwork don't get me wrong... but that's all it is. Is the aesthetics of a shonen anime. That's why it's difficult to distinguish filler from the actual plot.

Besides the sleek design, the cool powers, and decent enough voice acting... what is Bleach? It's Yuyu Hakusho without tension, it's Dragonball Z without the history, it's One Piece that takes itself too seriously...

It's just empty. An empty half hour show with no advancement in plot or character development. The guy who made it should draw but not write anime. Or at least not shonen stuff.

In a dramatic twist of fate, it turns out Bleach was actually Hollow the whole time! :coster:

Speaking of Bleach hanging it up for good, another Shonen Jump legend is finally being put to rest unexpectedly, but a well-deserved one that I'm sure most non-Japanese readers wouldn't care about.

40 years and 200 volumes is certainly a well-earned record for any artist who didn't have to worry about story arcs or where else to push his characters into as long as he had fun doing the same thing over and over (it's a gag manga after all).

Now, this looks interesting. I wonder why we never got even the tiniest bit of this...

Oh, right. Most anime fans would never find this interesting at all.

Now you understand how I feel. There's always something that catches your attention but you discover quickly how nobody else would be into it anyway. This is why I'm not a true anime/manga fan if I focus on stuff like this.

No, you're just not a weeaboo. And that's a good thing.

So the longest running manga in Weekly Shonen Jump is coming to an end. I don't think WSJ will ever have a 40-year-running manga again.

Hinamatsuri is genuinely hilarious. Why is it so little popular?

Anyone know what's good this season? I've been following Jojo and Danganronpa and have downloaded some of New Game, Taboo Tattoo and Mob Psycho 100 because they all look pretty cool. (Admittedly, Taboo Tattoo may be a guilty pleasure.)
I watched the first few episodes of Re:Zero whatever the fuck and it didn't interest me.

I think you pretty much got all of the decent stuff, unless you wanna delve into what previous seasons had to offer. Been hearing good stuff about Shirobako or whatever that was called.
