All this talk about the Fate VN reminds me that I need the link for the download because I don't know where to find VN downloads without resorting to seeding because I'm a retard who can't seed.

I've heard so much shit about TR from friends that it scared me off of the anime for the rest of time. Also the character designs kind of look like shit.

Also for all the FateFags who want FSN, check nyaa.si and look for the Ultimate Edition. The release date should be on 10-8-2022. Not sure if I'm allowed to link torrent sites but here's the link. Jannies feel free to delete if I can't though.

For people too lazy/stupid for torrent, they also dropped a mega.nz link.

Skip to Loafer is adorable!
Kaminaki is an actually fun comedy isekai.
Yamada-kun to Lv999 is a decent romcom.

I need to figure out what I think about Mahou Shoujo Magical Destroyers but it's been OK so far.

I actually watched Oshi no Ko ep1, then didn't watch the anime for a month or two, then watched the rest. This was probably for the best because it ditches the revenge plot set up by the 1st episode almost immediately and is more entertaining if you just ignore it.

I remember taking a break when Manga Dex got fully crashed for months & had stopped at CH.198, I'm 95 Chapters behind the ending of the manga. Same with Kingdom.

Skip to Loafer is nice, but the manga isn't as good, at least later on from the beginning, or where the anime is rn.

Additionally, the OP for 4chan's /tmg/ (on /jp/) has a drive link containing every (PC) VN Type-MOON has released (unpatched), alongside a bevy of links to translation patches, pre-patched releases, extra materials, etc. Won't be linking since the thread hits bump limit fairly quickly, but it's easy to find and never gone for long.
 
Oh, potentially relevant question:

Did the Dungeon Meshi manga finally wrap up yet? I don't think I've checked it in at least half a year now because it kept going on hiatus.

It's getting toward the end and the mangaka said she didn't want to do an anime until the manga was ending/ended. Speaking of which, for the low, low price of going to LA, you could see the first episode of the anime for FREE (plus 90 dollars and travel fees) at AnimeExpo. Personally, I'm pissed.

One thing that's kinda annoyed me about the more recent fate entries is a feel like there was something about it that worked better when it was just a secret small scale conflict in FSN in what was basically the backwater or the mage world and the grail was just some half baked scheme 3 reject families cooked up to get to the root (hence why lore wise, 3 classes of servants should be far better then the rest).

I'd argue we're at a point that if strange fake actually gets a anime, planet destroying noble phantasms being used against each other will probably seem like a return to form compared to the multiple end of the world and multiverse events in grand order.

I remember the "main" Nasuverse entries (Tsukihime, FSN, KnK, MahoYo, FGO doesn't count) taking themselves fairly seriously. The spin-offs usually do what you're talking about, and to be fair I now avoid them all like the plague. I implore you to give the good stuff another shake, though.

Crazy thing I learned the other day was that Sunrise produced a Starship Troopers OVA back in the 80s... Has anyone here seen it? Is it any good?

I liked Tsukihime and Fate Zero. Had just the right amount of serious atmosphere. The rest of the spinoffs were just insulting except Carnival phantasm, which was supposed to be a comedy and it was great.

I did see that multi-part OVA. Its more faithful to the book than anything that came after. The mobile infantry are supposed to be bulky suits of thrusterpack equipped OP power armor that require extensive training to use properly. They are not the colonial marines going on a bughunt as shown in the movies and anything that came after.

Wasn't there a new Tsukihime anime project in the works or was that just people finding out that UFOtable made the opening for the remake and running with it
