So what's everyone watching this season?
The Witch from Mercury - First Gundam. Really liked the 2nd episode and I started watching the 00 movies because of it. Don't know what caused me to avoid gundam for so long.
Iruma-kun - I found it very easy to marathon, though I can't get enough of "Hell, but it's actually a wacky and fun place instead" setting. All the characters are likeable. Don't know why they chose such a downgrade for the OP.
Raven of the Inner Palace - The main girls are really cute
Spy x Family
Do It Yourself!!
Bocchi the Rock!
My Master Has No Tail
Human Bug Daigaku
- For the lack of animation it's held my interest

Glossing over various fad-of-the-year shit to see if there's anything I feel like requesting for a certain Mongolian yurt-tapestry forum's Christmas card exchange.

I'll just end up requesting Aisha anyway.

Finishing up Dai no Daiboken, watching Witch from Mercury andKamen Rider W Futo PI

my man, we've all read the manga
the animation can be stick figures and it'd still be one of the best, just a shitty adaption
Im just asking about the hype. We all dunk on Hype Culture yet every industry, especially the anime industry, can't seem to stop hyping up even the most basic shit.

The thing with hype is marketing. People get excited for things that seem like they'll be good. The difference between anime and every other industry is the fact a lot of anime is based on manga, so you'll know the chances of it being good. It's rare for anime to turn out worse than their adaptions, but that happens rarely.... Fucking Berserk.

Hype is more or less dead in every other industry or extremely artificial. No one is producing good anything these days. There is nothing to be excited about. People take what they can get.

I kinda hate Chainsaw Man. I liked the manga well enough, it's fine and everything. Not mindblowing, but fun. Yet while I'm normally great at ignoring hype it's so fucking egregious with this series that it really soured me on the whole thing.

Here we go again, I guess. I figured it would be better as an anime and yep, I thought that episode kinda ruled. I like the style a lot and have zero complaints. I'm already sick of fucking hearing about it. This is gonna be a great 12 weeks.

i did like the manga of chainsaw Man. it has a style too it that i like but even the manga feels overrated. the people who hype it up have never read the manga and build this fantasy of what the series is like and i can not help but too smile, thinking how that illusion will get shattered in a few episodes.

the first episode was alright. i did not mind the CGI much but the fight with the zombies felt well, lifeless. in the manga, the zombies keep rushing to eat denji, like zombies should since their mindless and in turn, denji turns it into a bloody massacre. like meat being thrown into the meat-grinder. in the anime, the zombies just stand around and denji kills them one after another like their dominos or something.

hell, if the anime dose well who knows, maybe we get the real kino that is Fire punch.

Golden Kamuy - I was glad that it got another season, but hopefully there'll be a movie covering the ending arc. I like the mix of action and comedy. I want to see Asirpa, Sugimoto and the rest to get revenge and find the gold.
Spy x Family - It took a serious turn this second part, but it's a fine show and nice to see it mix serious and silly.
Last Boss - I like it so far, instead of an isekai it's an otome game.
Akiba Maid War - This feels like a Takashi Miike film in anime form and the ending theme was reminiscent of those pinky violence/yakuza films so that was a nice plus.
Gundam Witch - I like Gundam, so I'll give this a shot despite the annoying people squeeing about it.
Bocchi the Rock - The characters had a cameo in Slow Loop and I'm a sucker for stories about bands.
Do It Yourself - Serufu (haw haw) is too much of a klutz but it'll be nice to see them interact and build/create stuff. The characters and their designs remind me of Yuru Camp, A Place Further than the Universe, Encouragement of Climb and Asteroid in love.
Urusei Yatsura - I've been a fan since I was a teen, so I was somewhat hesitant yet glad it's getting a remake.
Di Gi Charat - One of the first series I ever watched, so mostly nostalgia for me. The first episode was basically a remake of the first episode, but with newer characters/jokes.
