I was finally convinced by my buddy to give Edgerunners a shot, first anime I've watched in maybe 8ish years. God damn, great show, really great show. Real gut punch ending for only 10 episodes. Makes me think I should start watching more chinese cartoons after my years long prohibition was crushed
like Becca under Adam Smashers ass

Mob Psycho 100 III
Bleach
Chainsaw Man
Blue Lock
Urusei Yatsura
Gundam
If I were caught up then I'd also be watching To Your Eternity and Yowamushi Pedal, can anybody vouch for the quality of anything not listed here besides Spy x Family? I can take on more since I usually watch an episode of something during meals or while working out.
Eminence in Shadow and Akiba Maid Senou are pretty funny so far.

Raven of the Inner Palace and Bibliophile Princess are probably going to fly under the radar, but the first episodes are good shoujo.

Blue Lock is fun if you want a soccer themed "death game" with a bit of fanservice for the ladies.

It's over, Chainsawbros.
Mappa lied and their CGI looks like shit. Probably just going to drop it to avoid getting pissed off every episode.
I'd recommend Iruma if you already watched the previous seasons or read the manga. It's big in Japan for a reason! Are you sure about Yowamushi Pedal though? Although it is yaoibait, it's also big in Japan and Midousuji makes it a fun watch.
I tried an episode of Iruma and it didn't really have a tone I like, does it change in any significant way?
Also, I feel like most Shonen series are Yaoi bait since they all have men that males find cool and females find cute. I think it's time to accept that shonentards and fujos both like the exact same shit just for different reasons. When more people realize this, weebs will finally find the degenerate wives they crave. Also yeah, Midousuji is like a top 10 villain to me.

Those skin-tight suits are a little much but I really like it so far.

I'm going to say that I liked the episode for the most part up until Denji transforms and it's just bad CG. I don't believe anybody can actually think that action sequence looks good without huffing copium lmao
Do you expect the Japanese to make CG look good? They've had it for 20+ years and still can't get it right.

Again, heavily disagree but you’re free to think what you want.

Beastars looks great though, it's possible to make it work but barely anybody else knows how.

Damn nigga, you crazy

If you aren't in to anime but if you like good writing, great characters and vikings. I recommend you give "Vinland Saga" a watch. No fanservice or anime cliches. Just a badass fucking show. Its on Netflix. LMK what you think.

Bruh, you really gonna drop an anime over bad CGI? Yea the CGI isnt good but it aint bad either. That fight with Denji was super bloody and cool asf. Plus the 2D animation is fucking gorgeous. One of the most beautiful looking anime this year. And we've only seen 1 episode. Theres more to be seen. Call me a MAPPA dick rider but they fucking nail it when it comes to animation. And when I heard Vinland Saga S2 was being made by them. My balls dropped for the 2nd time.

Just looking over the seasonal charts and getting into the way bottom of things it's always amusing to see what kind of shambling corpses the anime industry has dragged out in one last gasp for relevance. I no longer care about it since I don't force myself to watch those shows, so now it's just funny.

KanColle? In the current year plus however many years it is?

Iruma is more light hearted with emphasis on the character development of the cast. It really gives off a "00's morning cartoon shonen" feel, but if the characters aren't clicking after a couple of episodes it probably won't get better for you.

CGI doesn't bother me. It was nice when anime had budget but since they don't anymore it's better than rushing out shitty doodles and fixing them in the blu-ray.
I often think "man I wish they'd have let me tweak that shader" or lighting or whatever but I don't get mad about it. I dunno why people hyper-focus to the point where they categorically get upset even when it's serviceable.

So what's everyone watching this season?
Fuck staying current, I get my animes accidentally

Yeah, it gradually shifts from a typical slice-of-life shounen to a battle shounen manga + he has his own alter ego similar to Yami Yugi in Yu-gi-oh.

It really depends on the author's writing to me. it's pretty obvious that he's leaning into the gay shit.
Midousuji is like a top 10 villain to me.
For sure, man. Every fiber of their being just to achieve victory.

I wouldn't say I'm not into anime, I just know how easy it is for me to get sucked into this shit. Terrible, terrible weeb memories. But yeah, I remember hearing about that vinland one, I almost did watch it but decided against it foooor... prolly just didnt want to use netflix. Of course I can just watch it the same way as I watched Edgerunners, so I'll give it a shot 8)
