According to Daisuki, Gundam IBO is nearing the climax of it's first half. Nuts.

Done binging Hajime no Ippo, had a buddy suggest I should pick up Vinland Saga next.

I was bored and decided to rewatch Space Dandy subbed. I was pretty surprised to find out how many of the dub's shitty references really were in the subbed, like QT mentioning he uses Wikipedia

Is it any good aside from that? I've heard decent things about it, and Junichi Suwabe voices the lead character, which is usually enough to interest me in things. >.>

I actually really liked Space Dandy. It follows Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo's formats where it's a different story each episode. I found both the dub and sub to be really good so you can pick whichever. If there's one gripe I have, it's that the animation gets extremely shitty

It can be very uneven. The zombie invasion one, for example, looked really terrible in places, but on the other hand, I liked how the one about the plant planet looked.

Still gotta finish Space Dandy, though. Dropped it halfway through Season 2 and still haven't bothered watching what's left over.

It's very clear which episodes had more care put into them. The episode about alternate universes looked great while the Munagi episode was probably the absolute worst in story and animation

Well that explains the shit pacing. Hopefully it's one of those series which improves when marathoned.
We're only getting information out of third parties at this point, not Banrise themselves. May just be speculation. Gundam.info has Barbatos 6th form listed as Tekkadan strengthening the machine for the "final battle", and the timeslot is already booked for the fall season. They probably wouldn't want to begin airing the show any later than that, and considering the shit ratings the show it may not get a good timeslot when it does come back. The Japanese source may also be a bad translation that's fucking with people.

I watched through like, episode 9 or 10 of Gundam IBO, before forgetting to watch it each week. Is it worth going and marathoning it up to where it is now, or did it become garbage? Because I really liked what I had watched up to that point, I just stopped going on Daisuki.net once One Punch Man was done and forgot about IBO.

Currently, I've been watching this on repeat, mostly because "man that song is badass":

It depends on who you ask. You talk to an IBO-fan, you'll hear how it's one of the greatest Gundams ever with a great focus on the politics of the setting. It focuses on the characters, making the audience care about them. Though few in number, the action scenes are also top notch and are treated like a reward.

You ask someone like me, I'm going to say it's overrated. There are excessive amounts of forced exposition, done in ways that make the characters look like idiots. It's repetitive enough to make a drinking game out of, the politics don't hold up under examination, and the series is ridiculously telegraphed which ruins any sort of surprise. The actions scenes are visceral-looking, but beyond that can be rather underwhelming. Mikazuki is more a side-character than a protagonist.

I've seen worse.

Funimation's already licensed My Hero Academia. Still not a single word about Dragon Ball Super. :story:
