They're batshit hilarious for the first hour, then it gets boring for the rest of the movie's duration, even with a group of friends. They just repeat the same basic beats with maybe a few exceptions (the second film shows the Reptilians, but they don't stick around). I wasn't aware they were sticking with the same(?) characters in the UFO lately.
So the anime equivalent of Jordy B youtube vids?

I just finished reading the Gunslinger Girl series and really enjoyed it! Fully recommend! I especially loved the Triela and Hilshire Fratello. The middle with the focus on the gen 2 cyborg was a bit of a drag though.

Legend of The Galactic Heroes was the best anime for its time:

Though, I’m probably stating the obvious.
You know it's good shit when you have a 20 minute long PowerPoint presentation for the setting history and it is completely fascinating.

Though my favourite quote for the show is still the one about "if you want to make politicians care, target their place of power".

I think the Terraist faction would have worked better if it was Federation based, since the Empire already had their weird Nordic religion. Them trying to play both sides makes them a less interesting version of space Italy.

So I know the Naoko editions of Sailor Moon don't have the color pages. I'm curious though is it a huge loss? It's more affordable for me. I mainly am here for the new translation and liner notes. Naoko herself apparently prefers this translation.
Are you talking about the Eternal Edition hardcovers? I liked the liner notes. They made me laugh and feel old at the same time.
