Could someone explain to me why people enjoy romcoms? I just don't get it. The characters are usually annoying, the story boring, and the humor even worse. It pains me to even read them and I physically cringe at them most of the time (voice acting makes the bad even worse). I've held the opinion that romcoms are the worst genre in anime and the worst thing to come out of anime in general. What gives? What do people see in it? Am I alone in having furious disgust for the genre?
Like any genre/medium, there is way more trash than quality out there. I especially feel like a jackass when literally nothing happens and its just the audience getting jerked around for a chapter/episode.

So I've heard that a big thing happened in My Hero Academia. Any interesting reactions on it so far? I'd imagine fujoshis are on suicide watch

There’s been a bunch of smug Twitter users celebrating he’s dead because “well he was mean and told Deku to kill himself on the first chapter/episode, so he’s forever the worst.”, but I don’t think those people actually watch/read it.

From the ones that do, there are some like you said, but others are pointing out the foreshadowing and just sad that it happened in general.

Also it's a shonen, so it's not impossible that dome deus ex machina will revert what happened.

Just finished Gundam 0079 and I liked it. Which ones do I watch before getting into Zeta? I know theres 0080 but idk if there are any other ones worth watching before getting into that one.

wonder what point seasons 2 is going to end at, manga-wise.
I'd love it if it made it to the aquarium date, but best guess is it ends with the judo tournament and Naoto cheering her on against Orihara.
If they have half a brain, the final scene will be her asking him to promise he'll kiss her as a reward for beating Orihara in their rematch. I'm actually pretty sure that's their last scene before going up a grade, too, the cutoff is too clean to not do it.

You can just jump straight to Zeta. It was released next chronologically and the later OVAs don't give any integral info. 0083 in particular has things that will only seem important if you watched Zeta already.

I'd go with Zeta next if that grabbed you. Production order is pretty handy if you're doing the earlier Gundam works. Gundam, then Zeta, ZZ and Char's Counterattack. That's the full 80s Tomino Gundam experience.

0080 is more or less completely standalone and can be watched at any time, and it's only 6 episodes long so it's not a huge time sink (at least when compared to the various Gundam TV series).

Years ago got the Rune Soldier boxset but it was missing disc 6 so I just bought it lol.

I think I only got to episode 4 and didn't finish. I heard it's connected to Lodoss War?

As for many fans, there are people who will actually like it if the death sticks or hate it if it's a fakeout. Which is a big deal since the last third of MHA so far pretty much is a rollercoaster in terms of either being really good, or being rushed garbage since Hori's failing health made him want to speedrun to the end, and it didn't help he had one of the worst editors with him until recently.

Is that what’s going on? I was wondering why the manga suddenly felt like it skipped an arc or so.

Yeah Hori has a lot of health issues and has wanted to speedrun the manga to the end since it is planned to end this year. There are other factors like the aforementioned editor, and it didn't help the Japanese readership basically just wants MHA to be a slice of life manga with how they respond to some of the stuff put in which resulted in many ideas being scrapped that would've been a darker turn..

Oh hey the Rune Soldier Louie ADV cast has a ton of faves: Shelley Calene-Black, Christine Auten, Allison Keith, etc.

This is another reason why I felt Vigilantes managed to land better then MHA
If you reread it, the series is mostly slice of life (probably more then the main series) with some darker moments now and then. But there's not as much whiplash between them as MHA because the main cast are technically criminals and aren't protected by any institution so things can suddenly turn from good to bad more naturally, and aside from the last arc the darker threats are smaller scale and more personal so something might change a character or two but doesn't flip the whole setting on its head.
Also for the love of god Hori keep Koichi out of the main series. I don't care if it'll generate interest for a Vigilantes adaptation that's a monkey paw I don't want to wish on

So does that mean the time traveling Bakugo = previous One for All user theory is bust?
