That sounds like a good keikaku.

Both, Seven Seas has a history of being the Funimation of manga.
This is the fourth series they've been changing shit to. There's a few others such as The Dangers in my Heart and the yuri series Bloom into You. If I want to read their titles in the future then I'll just stick to scanlations, digital copies off Nyaa or borrow them from my library. What strikes me as odd is that the original publishers or creators don't get a say in the final product before it's approved since this is standard operating procedure for translation.

She has one of the dumbest takes on anime twitter I swear. Plus, If you played Persona 4 and know what's the deal with Naoto then yeah... she's the localization coordinator of p3 and p4g on Xbox.

"Consulting with trans people." Maybe, just maybe, they should've consulted with the person who actually wrote the thing.
I honestly think the bridge is burnt on fansubbers coming back and doing this shit for free, if there were a group of weebs who just wanted to translate anime accurately and weren't politically motivated in one way or the other then I'd totally give them money to do it though. I'd also love for subs to actually be creative again too like how the One Piece subbers used to make the text move and give a cool font to special moves but apparently there's a lot of gay retards who think that was bad now and shit on old fansub groups when the American anime industry wouldn't have made it anywhere without them.
The last time I remember the subbing scene looking like the classic one again was when Little witch academia and Fate/Apocrypha came out. In both cases the english subs were held hostage by netflix for a binge release later on which meant that people were free to make fansubs for clout again and their fanbases were large enough that people actually cared to do so. I remember with Apocrypha there was one famously messy speedsub release which contained a line such as "Why did berserker go berserk?" while there was also a person who enjoyed making the text fancier when a character used their Noble phantasm.

Damn that's a shame. I've been looking forward to their rerelease of Yokohama Shopping Log for a while because there may be higher quality scans than what we have right now.

Also speaking of JSDF, these are their helicopters.

This is why we should rearm Japan. Imagine getting schwacked by an IRL anime avatar; can you think of anything that would be more humiliating and demoralizing to enemy forces?
I don't know how much of a tactical point is making your military gear incredibly visible from a massive distance.

Also considering how prevalent it is in anime, are the JSDF actually have any achievements in the last half century, or is it an incredibly well armed and equipped army of desk jockies, weirdos and people there for political cred?

AFAIK, it's like the US National Guard or Coast Guard. Per their pacifist constitution, Japan is not allowed to project force, but they can defend if they're attacked (hence the name "Self-Defense Forces" instead of "military").

I think Orphan Fansubs is the only one who does it for free and just actually translates and not insert bullshit into the subs. Speaking of, I just happened to check their blog and they released the gross-out comedy Chameleon episode 5 yesterday. This is one of those series I've been waiting for more episodes to show up, but it was abandoned for years just due to the subject matter not appealing to the main guy behind Orphan, especially after he read Justin Sevakis' review on the first episode back in 2014 and watched the episode for himself.

Oh, and just saw that Rui Takatou (Booty Royale) is retiring from manga because of some problems at home. He implies it's either way too raunchy for his family (he has a kid), his wife is sick of him drawing softcore, or a bit of both. Looking around, consensus is leaning towards his kid being a bit of a handful and has apparently been getting into his drawings, and he doesn't want them seeing the artwork.

I thought they'll at least send some people to warzones as auxiliary force to Americans/UN so they'll have some bloodied soldiers under their belt. Not having even that, they'll fold like wet tissue paper at the first engagement.

Lmao this is why I pirate all of my light novels. Fuck Seven Seas for this, they used to be the most based game in town.

I'm sure that's allowed to some degree. I'm speaking more in general. Their mission is to hold off attackers until Uncle Sam-sama arrives.

If you're optimistic you could say that Article 9 of the japanese constitution, that forbids them from having an more active military, might be removed or changed in the near future. But so far having an actual military that's completly capable on it's own is a japanese dream.

New Tekken Anime comes out on Netflix next month. I can't understand how everyone has a literal 90 degree shadow on their head, no matter how they are standing, or moving, or the lighting in the scene. Takes me right out of it.

Ugh, more 3D garbage with choppy frames. Just take the 3D models from Tekken 3 and make a series in SFM or MMD if you're gonna be cheap about it.

Is anyone watching Yurei Deco? Personally, I'm enjoying so far. The scifi dystopian metaverse thing that's going on, mixed with the colorful visuals is fun though at times the dialogue is a bit much.

Anime original though, so it is a gamble about whether or not the ending will be shit. Wonder Egg Priority really set a standard for how bad an original can completely shit a good start.

Isekai Ojison and Yakkyou are pretty good too, so far. Ojisan is probably the funniest this season.
