Is this true?

Yeah. Isn't it fairly common knowledge, same as him liking Idolmaster?
I mean look at his work. Not just Berserk but the Giganto Maxia and Duranki.
I only know him for his work on Berserk and I've never read the manga.
I think this is a joke. The character's name is "Gross Otaku."
I hope that's true and it's only satire, I can't read moon runes.

I never heard anything about that, and God knows these things do get out. If there was a translation of the comics she posted maybe I'd understand the point.

The translations show up if you google it.

For an example, here's a volume cover of Duranki, what's interesting is that I remember reading that it was supposed to serve as practice for him and his assistants for when he grew older and could no longer keep Berserk's quality. Since he died too early this series was cancelled.

So it's true, he admits it, and he's making the outlet argument to defend it. And the "creepy Otaku" character is a satire on the perception of lolicon and not on those who consume it.

Yeah, I don't agree with the reasoning in that comic at all especially since we all know Japan is not honest in their reporting of sex crime but if he actually believes that loli is keeping people away from Children then I'm not sure he just made it to defend loli, especially since the character is still a gross otaku. In the case of that cover, I feel like if it was shown to me outside of this conversation then I probably wouldn't pay much mind to it and see it as pedophilic since it's just a girl in a fantasy setting wearing a ragged, roman-like getup but when you put it right next to his defense of loli and I pay more attention to it, it is kind of creepy.

My only question now is if he's actually a lolicon or if he's just sympathetic to it because he thinks it's harmless, I know he likes IdolM@ster but the only women I know from that series are adults, I know there are some loli characters but I'm not sure how many of those there are.

Ngl I chose a volume cover since I'm trying to not rock any boats and that's how its physically sold. Also the character is a hermaphrodite, pretty sure the story makes sure that you know.

Honestly, if this tweet is true and he drew that comic it in response to a possible ban then I don't think that's the same as being like Digibro and going around defending it because you jack off to it. Like, I think loli is disgusting and that people who go around saying they're into it need to be kept away from children but banning any type of drawing is a seriously slippery slope and there's no way that it'd end just at "No drawing loli"

That manga does sound like some incriminating shit though if he draws scenes with that kid meant to be viewed in a sexual nature. Like, I don't think that exactly makes him a lolicon but it'd mean he's trying to appeal to that demographic which is still pretty bad even if he thinks it's actually harmless.

So long as he wasn’t actually touching kids, I really don’t give a shit what he did with a bunch of drawings.

I don't know man, both series are very short and readily available. Read them yourself and come to your own conclusion.
