GET ME PICTURES OF GUNDAM

(lol)

Just checking in, did anyone here keep any interest in To Your Eternity after the Gugu arc or am I in the minority? I didn't hate it after that, but my interest dropped off exponentially and I really didn't care much about finishing it or watching season two after the PV was released.

I kept watching it till the end. It's okay but loses all the feels it had. I looked a bit into it and if there will another season it will start go into some crazy directions.

Forever I have waited for some continuation of some top series from the 90s, unfortunately I have joined you all on learning that Trigun, instead of joining Spriggan and Bastard!!, is being murdered by the same people who animated Beastars......

Twitter is already starting to get pissy about Panty and Stocking.

It’s funny Twitter is mad about Garterbelt’s design and not that he’s a gay degenerate bondage freak priest.

Really tells you they haven’t watched it.

You'd think Panty and Stocking being sex-positive to the max would've been enough of an incentive for them to like the series. Can't please everyone.

Also isn't Garterbelt based off an actual person, even if loosely? I always kinda felt like he was.

The thing about Trigun for me is for me personally I never checked out the original manga because the final episode of the TV series felt so emotionally satisfying that I felt content with it even if there were some mysteries left to the overall story.

The showdown between Vash and Knives has got to be my favorite anime showdown, it's just an absolute showstopper and it might be my favorite overall final episode of any anime that I've seen, while that might be debatable (obviously Bebop's ending is one of the all time greats) I really can't think of a better showdown that I've seen.

I am disappointed that they bring it back and don't do it justice though but this is a series that I've felt like I said my goodbye to for a long time, I didn't even bother to watch that movie, Badland Rumble or whatever it was called.

I'm much more hoping P&S S2 delivers because that one did leave us hanging to an absurd degree.

What amazing frames those two pictures are. It's why I'll always have Trigun in my Top 5.

Get ready guys. Summer lineup is looking to be pretty decent unlike a rather lackluster spring. We got Overlord S4 and Rent a Girlfriend S2 for popular ones. One isekai that was mentioned earlier too which is pretty good.

The second half had some good ideas, but the execution was pretty meh. It felt like the writer was trying to do something different, but it didn't work very well. However, I still maintain that the very final episode is much better than the entirety of the prison island.

Manga readers say the story does get away from the usual arc of "meet this person and then they die" so I'll give the second season a shot.

The manga is pretty good and I think it's pretty much about to be done quite soon.

When I first heard they were doing more with Trigun, I admit curious about what they were planning to do with the series... yeah I'm not too fond of it, and if like ratio on the trailer is anything to go by, people aren't happy with it either.

The biggest problem is how they change Vaush's design, which is a good reason it doesn't work.

Vash worked so well because it gave him the appearance of a lone gunman, even when his goofy personality betrayed that, his long red coat, the leather bandage all over his body, epically on his left arm, while a lot more revealing, it also managed to be subtle yet give the impression there's more to it.
The new-look sacrificed a lot to be more "modern," and it's all for the worse, especially on the left arm, which is blatant about being mechanical, and his hair... oh, the hair.

Why is that such a big deal, you may ask, because Vash's original hairstyle was a gift from the most important person in his life, Rem.
Rem was the closest thing to a mother, and she was the one who not only gave Vash the hairstyle he would keep throughout his life but also the belief that all life is precious and deserves to live. She is the reason why Vash is the way he is, and it's also symbolic because, during the same time she was cutting Vash's hair, she also offers to cut Knives her, but he leaves and cuts it in his style. This symbolized Knives rejecting Rem's ideals of pacifism because he finds it illogical and worthless and would ultimately cause a wedge between him and Vash, resulting in them becoming enemies.

But in this new anime, they don't have those haircuts, which ends up sacrificing those crucial moments that make the characters who they are and what they'll become.

Right now, this anime is sacrificing the designs of the past to be more "modern." and if the results are anything to go by, they're already fucking it up.
God knows how they'll handle the story.
Here we go again...

Watched 5 episodes of Gigantic Formula.
Even in anime americans are interfering in south america's politics in their benefits.

You just can't escape the eternal anglo v2.0
I love anime where Burgerland pulls as real move like that. Like in Brain Powered where the USA annexes Orphan.

Eh, Orange isn't the problem. I've never watched a full anime done by them. But, they do some really dynamic fight scenes in the stuff I've watched that they provided CG work for. For instance, the fights in Code Geass: Akito of the Exiled and a lot of the Fafner works were great and really went a long way in selling me on CGI mecha. I'd say the writing staff and the character designs are the problem. They ruined one of the top 10 fictional guns with that new design.

I just found out it's Tokyopop's 25th anniversary this year.

Lol. Lmao. Fuck off, Tokyopop, you'll never be forgiven for what you did. :story:
