Parasyte is so fucking stupid. Why can't I stop watching?

So I was on a plane and the staff gave everyone tablets to watch a selection of movies. I saw this on the movie selections for Drama:

I couldn't help but think "...What the fuck?" And out of morbid curiosity, I watched it. It wasn't really that bad. It was weird and stupid, but in a good way. Then I found this was an adaptation of a manga series which also has it's own anime adaptation.

So now I've just watched the first episode of the anime. So far I'm intrigued.

I just noticed the second Little Witch Academia was out (Little Witch Academia: Mahou Shikake no Parade) and I'm glad to see it's as fun as the first, they're like a cross between Harry Potter and a Studio Ghibli movie. (It came out in October, I am a little slow finding out about it's release)

It's pretty good, the second season just started so you picked a good time to get into it!

I really wish I had a gif of the final weapon transformation. That shit was jaw-dropping.

Just watched Fullmetal Alchemist: Sacred Star of Milos. I really, really wanted to enjoy this movie more than I did, but Julia was just an awful character and reeked of Mary Sue. The animation was bomb though.

What a coincidence, I'm rereading the manga right now.

Does Scared Star of Milos have any connection to Brotherhood? I always assumed it did, but after doing a bit of research I couldn't find anything that validated this.

The film's non canon, but is connected to Brotherhood instead of the 2003 series

Why? That seems like a weird reason to me. The film itself doesn't really connect to either and is non-canon entirely.
You guys just gave me two different answers. If it's based on Brotherhood then I doubt I'd enjoy it, let alone understand the references, for reasons I've already mentioned before and don't plan on bringing up again. All I want to know is if it really is a stand-alone movie or not. Being canon doesn't concern me at all.

I couldn't see a clear connection to Brotherhood in particular, it's standalone.

Sorry, I guess I typed that the wrong way. I meant to say it was released in conjunction with Brotherhood, it was announced right after the last episode aired. Story-wise it's standalone

Well it's not like they have the frames laying around. Apparently quite a few of them are just gone.

I know, but all of these re-draws are just traced-over the original frame with traced/slightly changed backgrounds. In the ones that I posted, Zarbon's head was re-drawn extremely poorly and the head jewelry he wears isn't drawn correctly, the background on Krillin's frame is pretty terrible considering the original, and the frame with Frieza is just bad all on its own because the colors they used for Frieza's head/arms are too close to their shades and almost look like he doesn't have shading on his head/arms.

The Tien re-draw is just absolutely terrible because they didn't properly render the frame with whatever software they were using. There's no excuse for some of this stuff other than it's Toei putting forth minimum possible effort.

Why would you want to buy Dragon Ball Z/Kai anyway? They're terrible adaptations of an otherwise great manga.
You never get this kind of quality in the anime
