HxH is a gateway anime of the worst kind. It's a bad series, a clusterfuck of story and characterization that isn't very well done by any aspect, but which attempts to compensate for its weaknesses by adding in excessive shipping faggotry and pedophilia. The normal anon can see this as the shit it is, and may enjoy it, hate it or be indifferent to it, but all the while recognizing that the series itself, regardless of their opinion, is plain bad. However, these very aspects that try to smear over the shit of its core make it a breeding ground for aspie, unsociable pedo faggots who engage in every kind of faggotry both online and in the real world. The superpowered characters all trying their hardest to look cool, the powers, pedophilia, peculiar, colorful clothes, the whole superhero faggotry and everything about the HxH world fuels their escapist fantasies, while the pity-party character backgrounds, emphasis on pedophilia, and overall preachiness of the series make it fit just right with the mary-sueish drives of your average old men and his unwarranted sex drive towards the kids. Exactly the kind of shit that makes oldies and pedo retards eat this shit right the fuck up. HxH is basically THE series to attract the most hated anime fanbase known to /a/, which is why, regardless of individual opinions, it is the responsibility of every anon to troll the fuck out of this show and everyone who likes it, and ensure that no HxH threads ever encourage the newfriends to show their faces here.

Urusei Yatsura Episode 78 is probably the best thing anime related that I've seen all year and the funniest part is that it was a fucking filler episode. Apparently Beautiful Dreamer is going to be just like that episode and I can't wait until I get to the point to watch it. Also I'm going to miss the first OP but Dancing Dancing Star is pretty good as well.

I’m pretty sure Golden Kamui and Dungeon Meshi are ending this year. Any other suggestions for a seinen series that isn’t just an edgy shonen? I already tapped out all the Urusawa series, Berserk, and Trigun a long time ago.

It's honestly pretty good on the second go through. And I always appreciated that the OP takes place chronologically after the series. The early episodes spending so much time on powerlines... well I understand it thematically but it wasn't the direction I would take.
 
A friend of mine is trying to get me to read or watch Berserk. We've all been on a big Dark Souls kick this year, and that was Miyazaki's inspiration.

I'm normally not squeamish about violence or gore, but the naked tinkerbell girl makes it feel too much like CP for comfort.

Reminds me of a time when I saw screenshots of another manga he did called Duranki and some of it kinda looked like an excuse to draw kids in various states of undress.

I mean, I liked the show but I also see where you’re coming from.

Anyways, I just finished this martial arts manga about women’s MMA called Teppu, and I would recommend it. It has a little bit of an interesting where it follows a girl who would otherwise be an antagonist in a typical shounen manga, and I thought it was well done and has some good art. It’s really hard to draw grappling in manga fights, but it pulls it off well.

I can't believe they're remaking it. Between this and a Sunrise exec threatening the world with a full remake of the original Gundam, I'm kinda worried that people will try and tackle some remaking more classics.

I remember Teppu being good, but having a rushed/non-existent ending.
