Somewhat late, but I just learned that MAPPA is gonna be handling the Hell’s Paradise anime. Almost seems slightly concerning given how much they have on their plate, since this is probably looking at a late 2022/early 2023 release. Between this, JJK Season 2, Chainsawman, and phoning it in on Attack on Titan Final Season Final Part For Real This Time, those animators are probably chained to their tables 24/7.

And random but what exactly made Darling in the Franxx so hated/controversial???
It had a few dumb non-troversies:
Ichigo, the childhood friend, is caught in a love triangle and she obviously won't end up with the MC, but she goes ahead and kisses the protagonist. Some idiots lost their minds over this and sent death threats to the staff. https://archive.ph/c3NlE
The story is pretty much about procreation and this upset some people. For example, Darling in the Franxx's ending made Hope "Jacob" Chapman go on twitter and make an insane rant (for two months!) that covers everything from Christianity, gender diversity, propaganda and pegging your significant other. All of this lunacy over some anime. To be fair, if my girlfriend told me that she wanted to be a man and fuck me with a strap on... I'd probably drink myself to death as well. https://archive.ph/R5yNT

So does anyone here know if Berserk manga is going to continue or if it stays in its current state?, just finished the manga for the 4th time and google isn't remotely helpful when searching for info. I don't mind if they end it here but was curious if there will be any future battle between Schierke, Caska and Farnese as the berserker first lady.

But we all know who his real true love is.....
Last I heard his team and editor was interested in continuing the series but I haven't heard anything beyond that

It goes from some tough girl helping some girly guy in his first date by having them role play the opposite genders and it winds up with them falling for each other making a trap/reverse trap couple and the girly guy’s date gets cucked. I wonder if a porn version exists.

Ninja Storm Trilogy is on sale for 8 bucks on Switch so I got it.

I loved the Rise of Ninja games and the beat em ups on the Wii.

I was curious about Anko. (Fwiw I never really watched the anime or read the manga. All my knowledge of Naruto comes from the games and general knowledge)
She put on a few pounds in the Boruto series?! Random...

i finished reading a manga called helck. the start was a bit slow but the world building, characters and story made it worth it. Helck had one of the best protagonist back stories i have read in awhile.

really!? i was thinking it would make a good show. you got me hype now!
Yeah, it's announced in Feb that it's coming. Tho not much is known (the studio, the episode count, release date, etc.), it's confirmed to be a thing now.

It's on my own list to read since a long while, looks like it's getting pushed further back depending on the quality of the anime. There's also another anime running at the moment that's kinda like Helck, but not fully from what I remember.

Watching Ousama Ranking. Queen Hiling might be the best foster mother character I've ever seen in an anime. You'd think she's the usual evil step mother fare, but she's an adorable, kickass and kindhearted saint who tries her best for her foster child. Also nice bode.

Kinda wonder when the show will actually go with the whole kingdom building aspect.

Ousama Ranking is a great one. When I first saw Hiling, I thought the author behind the show is the same one who made Kaiji, but it's not.

Watched the first episode of Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie with some mates who had already read it and expected there to be some twist or swerve where it gets really dark but it was played completely straight. I feel like a dumbass. It was alright besides the fact that I find the MC insufferable. Maybe romcoms just aren't for me.

Fujimoto's oneshot was interesting huh
It gets better as it goes on but what elevated it from good to really good for me was when the dad shows the mc his mom's last moments, and we find out she was really kind of a piece of shit. Yet he still cut the best version of her. I had a good laugh when he did the explosion ending again on the final page.

I finally got through one third of Urusei Yatsura and it's quickly shaping up to be my favorite anime of the year. There's something about the mean-spirited humor that always gets me and that's probably why Ten is one of my favorite characters at the moment, the dude is just a hater. The serious episode, when they do show up, are easily some of my favorite episodes, there really isn't a whole lot to complain about.

It's also criminal that some amazing songs just don't have proper titles.

I know of one piece of Urusei Yatsura background music that most certainly does have a title, "Fool on the Hill", written by Paul McCartney.

You can hear it right at the beginning of episode 51.

It takes this sudden turn towards the end that slightly annoyed me, but it isn't really that big of a surprise given the themes of the story. The voice actor for Daida also plays Nishkata in Takgai-san, so it's amusing to hear him do the same flustered voice on both shows.

It's not bad, I was expecting Shikimori to be more... brutish? I was thinking she would be a yankee delinquent kind of tomboy. It's not bad, but the MC acts exactly like a girl in a shoujo manga would. I guess they just switched the roles and the story writes itself.
