ADV's dub of it was also very high quality.

It's a perfect snapshot of where the US anime scene was in 2005, there's just something about the way things were that year that is really frozen in my memory of something special, I wish it could been that way for longer, but there was already a slight decline in 2006 and things officially started to shit the bed in 2007 when Geneon closed, 2005 was the crest of a wave.

Just saw the Jujutsu movie today and all I'll say is depending on how much you liked the anime you'll probably get around the same level of enjoyment. Though one thing is kind of bothering me, how the fuck is Rika still in the main series since unless they changed it from the manga, the movie heavily implies her curse is lifted yet I remember Yuta using her in the later chapters of the manga.

The only thing that sucks that Discotek is releasing the dub and sub separately, but the upscale quality looks fantastic. I'm more excited that Violence Jack is getting an uncensored BD release.

There is unfortunately no way to have them in the same set because of the massive amount of changes made between the two versions. You'd have like....7 or 8 blu ray disc's tops.

Personally, I never got into the original FLCL.
However, I would argue that current day American media is incapable of making something new. Heck, they can't even make decent sequels. Why that is is baffling, but I personally blame Universal for taking down the Phantom of the Opera set.

Hellsing works better as a manga, I was always a little surprised that Ultimate never worked for me as well as I expected it to.

I would recommend you just read the manga especially as it's getting a deluxe re-release.

In terms of visuals, Yor got buffed, Anya had one of her "faces" really well done but I can't complain about her design. IDK about Loid. Some scenes he's skinny, other's he's alright. It bugs me. Goes from skinny to being a Chad. Pics from manga below for reference.

How's the Spy x Family manga been lately? I think I dropped it around chapter 40 or so; it just started feeling really repetitive, especially Loid and Yor's relationship -- having them finally find out about the other's secret identity would probably go a long way in remedying that. It's alright. I only read it when the oldest chapter is about to be removed from MANGA Plus. The chapters are too long for me, which is ironic as I read web novels.
