what if big o season 3?
Tim Heidecker would somehow kill it. I don’t know how, but we live in a timeline where that guy didn’t clip his liver when he stabbed him and the world is worse for that. I don’t love Sam Hyde, but Heidecker is a faggot.
You ever wonder if there's a good reason why his brother isn't too fond of him?
He stole character designs from one of his brothers failed pitches and never credited him. I think the entire Uchiha Clan was based upon one of his brothers pitches. I think that’s the deep lore, but there is a legal aspect because his brother was part of another publisher.

Literally why? They tried this shit already and it went over like a wet blanket.

I think this also highlights a general high-level problem with the American media industry. They’re never satisfied to just let something good stand on its own, every success needs to be milked until they’re no longer profitable, regardless of whether or not there’s actually an idea for a good story to tell. The Japs at least have the decency to mostly limit their moneygrubbing to gacha games, figures/statues and non-canon high school spin-offs instead of tainting the main property with garbage sequels.

I think it's more of a problem of American writers just not being able to produce anything of their own and thus needing to modify other's work.

TWO?

And on current day [adult swim]?

Did I just go back to the year 2000, or did we forget that FLCL Progressive was a thing four years ago?

Just be glad Adult Swim only wants to ruin FLCL. I've got high hopes for the Zatch Bell sequel though. Chapter 1 came out a few days ago and I'm already anxious to read the next one.

I've been seeing a lot of people excited that Discotek is re-releasing Digimon...

I gotta confess I don't know why. It's been available on home media before. But I guess Blu-Ray quality and subs are enough to get people going.

If I recall, some of the previous DVD releases weren't very good.

I've been meaning to watch bokura war for years already

I did end up watching right now, I thought it was longer but it is just 40 minutes:

This is really strange for me since, it talks with me in some really personal ways. The era this movie was released (early 00's) was my first experience with internet and personal computers and for me it was when no one around me had access to it, even the company that sponsored the production was the same company that my father worked on in that era (NEC), I remember watching the digimon anime those days every single day and had some toys and such.

But still, this movie is fucking weird. The scenario sometimes looks like 3DCG but sometimes looks like it is painted, the story is fast as fuck.

I never watched Summer Wars, but I've heard there is a similar plot, so I may even watch to see it developed further

But damn, if that early 3DCG when the digimons evolve aren't the coolest shit ever I don't know what is.

The announcement the subs will be officially released out here for the first time ever is actual big news for Digimon fans. I'm just shocked there's good Blu-Ray footage for Digimon, I remember hearing Toei fucked that up and never fixed it.

EDIT: I was about to REE over the MAL-Map image about it being nothing but basic-bitch recommendations, but when you zoom in on it more closely, they're actual constellations with more niche titles finding connections with each other. That's real damn cool, props to the person who coded that.

The only thing that sucks that Discotek is releasing the dub and sub separately, but the upscale quality looks fantastic. I'm more excited that Violence Jack is getting an uncensored BD release.

finished reading I am a Hero and thought it was a pretty good zombie story. Bonus chapter/new ending is required though because the original ending is kinda shit. It has one of the more interesting takes on “what happens after the zombies” that I’ve seen, because logically zombies would stop being an issue if you just wait until they rot to the point of being immobile, so you just have to find somewhere safe to hide for a few months. The zombies themselves just being a precursor for skyscraper-sized flesh-golem hive minds, implied to be the result of aliens is an explanation you don’t really see in zombie fiction.

I think really my main issue with it is that it follows too many different groups, where it feels like you can go a whole volume without seeing the main characters, which can make the narrative a bit difficult to keep track of as you try to remember where a group last left off. I think the most interesting thing is how it highlights the massive cultural differences between Japan and America. The most obvious being that the MC is the only character who has a real gun (he just so happened to be heading to the gun club for target practice when shit goes down), but everybody is also afraid of being prosecuted for theft and other crimes after the zombie plague ends; at first I thought it was just the MC being particularly neurotic but literally everyone seems to be concerned with this, either hiding their identities or leaving apology notes when they ransack an abandoned house or store including their name and contact information so that the (most likely dead or zombified) owners can contact them for restitution when it’s all over. In fact it’s presented as important character development when the main character stops giving a shit about the rules. I just thought it was interesting how these cultural differences affect the story, and I wonder if Japanese audiences feel the same when watching Western zombie fiction.

Not to mention the fact that Demarco is a fucking idiot. Remember how he gave MF DOOM 45 grand for a deal with adult swim and bailed on them twice? I don't know how he still has a job there. Since he hates fanservice, the grunge and shoegaze "sequels" will be mediocre at best. Not to mention that Haruko looks like the esurance girl.

I wonder if we're going to get some smug, pretentious extras about how bad the content is. Even if they do, it'll finally be uncensored.

managed to put down elden ring for a day in order to watch the MushoTen OVA. They really didn't skimp on quality, everything was where it needed to be and best boy Cliff's story is now well under way.

Don't feel sad that his feelings for Eris were shot down before they ever had a chance to grow, He becomes one of the happiest men in the story and even tames a super whore into becoming a loving wife
