That explains it. The Foxy arc is way longer in the anime so if you felt like it was filler you would be correct. I think that's where all the hate comes from, except with female fans who mostly seem to hate that lady pirate who treated Chopper like a pet. They fuckin HATE that bitch. I thought that crew was hilarious but I also only read the manga so they didn't outstay their welcome. If you're gonna go anime-only, you should know they add ANOTHER Foxy arc that's exclusively filler.
The anime doesn't even seem that long, not by OP standards anyway. I saw that on the filler guide, some kind rematch arc or something.

I think the character is called Porsche, and really? She's just the villain's smug right hand man she doesn't seem particularly hateable.

The Foxy pirate arc feels so much like filler and I looked it up an apparently it's not but Jesus.

It does have its funny moments though, primarily the announcer talking shit to that cold hearted heathen navigator Nami.
It's weird cause back when I used to watch the op anime I thought the filler arc before the foxy arc was the canon one and the later was filler.

Fort Navarone was really good for filler. Jonathan made a great antagonist since he relied on being clever versus devil fruit powers.

Looks like Discotek Media's giving us another unlikely title soon!

It'll have an English version which was done up in Montreal by the same assortment of actors we've all heard before.

Female Op fan here, I really liked Porsche? Honestly the davy back fight - water 7 arc was my favorite. That's one of my feel good's, but I can see why it isn't some people's cup of tea.
I also remember the whole "double zoro" animation error as well. That was pretty funny.

I already reported this, but I had no idea it even had a dub. Evidently it only aired in Canada - and it is indeed a Montreal dub, though I don't know who's doing the voices. If you enjoy the Moomin anime you will probably enjoy this too.

The Japanese theme song, incidentally, is by Mari Ijima.

I can see why you like it, afro-luffy chasing foxy around the ship alone makes the arc worth watching.

The latest fight scene in Demonslayer was wild with the animation. Hard to pull off mixing 3D with 2D sometimes but they did a good job

Japan pays tribute to classic shoujo anime by opening up a classic 90’s tribute café

The pop-up eatery has taken residence inside the Parco shopping center in Tokyo’s Shibuya neighborhood. A total of five series, all adaptations of manga that were serialized in anthology Ribon, are being saluted: Hime-chan’s Ribbon (anime 1992-1993), Akazukin Chacha (1994-1995), Nurse Angel Ririka SOS (1995-1996), Kodomo no Omocha/Kodocha (1996-1998), and Full Moon o Sagashite, the only non-‘90s series of the bunch (2002-2003).

Started getting into Trigun this morning (been on my watchlist ever since I got into Cowboy Bebop). Vash's actual character threw me off from the hardass I see on covers (my reaction's on par with Meryl. how can a guy act so goofy when he looks dope?). Does he change later on in the series?

Almost through with Samurai Champloo. I'm under the opinion that the best older anime I find tend to stop at 26 eps or less, which I find kinda funny.
Read the manga, dude.

The stories are way different, and the manga is so much better.

Vash's characterization on the manga is so damn good, and there is that single page that fucks me up everytime I see.
