Izuku is most likely naturally born quirkless, since his “condition” was diagnosed by confirming his lack of an extra toe joint (or whatever it was). Unless removing a quirk also retroactively changes that part of a person’s biology, which seems counterintuitive and stupid but could be how it works.
He was likely born Quirkless, yes. That being said, I think the doctor that diagnosed him in the first place was also Daruma.

Okay, if that’s the case the initial test could very well have been falsified.
He had set everything up from the beginning. We might just be looking at another Aizen. Only this time, it isn't by some shitty last minute "planning" by a mangaka wanting to cancel his serialization like Kubo.

When you actually think about it, it just seems a bit too perfect. It's like the scenario out of a cliche shonen.

Which is kind of the point by how cliche it is and might be a set up by Horikoshi to pretty much tell the reader how something like that doesn't often happen in real life and how ridiculous it would be.

Cucking might just be the worst fetish in existence, next to being an AGP. Both basically ruin your life completely. I also just hate shit like Rent-A-Girlfriend. 218 chapters of will-they/won't-they of course its going to de-evolve into NTR shit, because you know, there's only so much blue-balling you can do. Hell, even in Love is War the main leads fucked.

I really, really hate that about a lot of anime and its one of the anime tropes/cliches that I'll forever dislike. I know its because shipping makes fucking mad money to leave things as empty as can be, but Jesus fucking christ. God.
Shit like this is why Kareshi x Kanojo is the best romcom manga it may have gotten a rushed ending, but damn fuck did they do the job in under 30 chapter (I think the last chapter was 28).
Turning your shitty manga into cuck porn to mess with your audience needs to be renamed as the Kinoyama maneuver. Since so far it only happens to garbage and it makes people seethe it's an absolute Chad move.

I mean, the name does have literally "kino" in it.
What is the anime equivalent of Metal Wolf Chaos or Metal Gear Rising? I want something stupid and awesome
Something between Gurren Lagaan & Space Dandy. In other words, Daicon IV

Most of the fans of the series were upset to find out that Kazuya has not progressed past his crush of wanting to be with Chizuru and Chizuru only, and recently the creator Miyajima Reiji had his Twitter account receive critical messages and (possible) threats as to why this chapter is bad for the story so far:
This is par for the course with shows like these. Domestic Girlfriend had similar outrage due to the ending, but the creator doubled down. Darling in the Franxx fans hated Ichigo enough to send the creators death threats. Even American fans raised a stink about dumb shit such as Tanjiro's earrings in Kimetsu no Yaiba and a doctor being named Maruta in My Hero Academia. As for Rent-A-Girlfriend, I'm glad the mangaka doesn't give a fuck (for now) since he seems like a nice guy and he even showed up in one of those "a day in the life of..." videos on youtube.

The outrage makes no sense. Kazuya does this a lot and even in the first episode, he rubbed one out when he thought of Mami having another boyfriend. The anime ending credits also show him tossing a tissue into the trash, so the audience knows what to expect from him. I remember some people being shocked at the fact that the Kaguya leads fucked, despite them being in love with one another. I swear I don't get these fans nowadays.

To anyone here that follows MHA, I'm gonna sperg about this epiphany I just had today about what can be, in hindsight, the most convoluted reference to Star Wars.

If we're going to take into account Horikoshi's love for Star Wars and just how much he fucking references it, then AFO really could be Izuku's father, and that "Hisashi Midoriya" is simply an alias. This has been a common theory that's been repeated in the MHA community because, when you look closely into certain clues, it's there.

What makes this theory arguably feasible is Izuku having idolized All Might ever since he was a child. Bear with me here, because there are just so many coincidences for this to not be considered viable.

A Quirkless child not only idolizing Toshinori, but with a dedicated (near obsessive) dream of becoming a hero? Inko might even be Nana's daughter since Gran Torino mentioned that she gave up her "children", not child. Making Tomura Izuku's cousin.

It just came to me as an epiphany when I remembered AFO's remark that he always plans far ahead, to the point that any minor setbacks have little to no detriment to him.

He managed to locate Inko with his resources, having fabricated an entire background for himself and courted her. Unless this is a red herring, that's a pretty likely scenario since AFO could easily have donned a face with a shape shifting Quirk and made it seem like breathing fire was his main one. He simply chose Inko in the off chance that he'd get to use her against Nana.

After Izuku was born, and this is another theory that compliments this one, he may have had a Quirk. Whether it was similar to his uncle's or taken by AFO as a precaution, either one could be true, and so, he set the groundwork to enact his plan.

"Get close to the heroes". A post hypnotic suggestion. He exceeded that expectation by becoming Toshinori's protégé from either a twist of good luck or fate.

His love of archiving Quirks might even be part of that programming. An in-depth, encyclopedic knowledge and analysis of abilities, which is; also in hindsight, essential.

If any inkling of this theory is true, AFO might have just created a sleeper agent tailor made to infiltrate heroes and get close to Toshinori, but also someone who could get OFA so that he retrieve it at a penultimate time. Everything else with the League, Tomura, etc. That was all a front to his actual plan.

Izuku.
I feel like it would be too redundant, considering the twist of a parent turning out to be the bad guy already is happening in a different ongoing series.

Samurai Flamenco but watch till episode 7 if it doesn't hook you till then.

Scryed, but make sure to watch it dubbed because the sub plays it too seriously.

Symphogear, though I can only speak to the earlier seasons as I've yet to catch up.

Most mecha series that aren't real robot types follow the idea of rule of cool over things making sense, so stuff like Getter Robo Armageddon, Mazinkaiser (both the original and SKL), or Shin Mazinger (sadly ends on a cliffhanger). A good chunk of Sunrise original mecha series also fall into the fucking weird trainwreck masterpieces that might fit what you're looking for.

I second this, its legit my favourite franchise from the 2010's. Even when its rough you can see how much all the cast and crew were working out of passion.

Also today is the 10th anniversary of the first episode, conveniently

It wouldn't exactly be out of place, though. I mean, it'd be the the kind of ploy Horikoshi would pull to further solidify the reference to Star Wars.

And, answer the common unsaid question. "Where is his father?"

What other ongoing series is that?

I mean a lot of shounen series don't really show the father of the protagonist at all so it's only really a big deal to Western audiences. They also show establish Deku's father is overseas doing business stuff and can't return to Japan due to the stuff happening there.

It doesn't help the current direction of the story seems to lean towards Star Wars stuff with Shigaraki being Darth Vader while AFO is the Palpatine figure of the series. Dad for One would just be really stupid and go against the themes of the series.

"Overseas". Sure.

60% my theory is correct or close. No skin off my back.

They do this shit all the time in Shounen. Just because a father is not shown will not suddenly mean some retarded twist will happen later.

EDIT: It doesn't exactly help that MHA is ending this year so to make a twist like that would just come out of nowhere especially when it has little foreshadowing.

It happens in Jujutsu Kaisen.

It turns out that the real antagonist is actually hijacking a corpse of the villian who died in the original one shot.
Before this he hijacked the corpse of the main character's mother, had sex with his father and gave birth to him in order to create a superhuman vessel.

I personally found the twist fun.

Mangaka often don't feel like drawing parents who aren't necessary to the plot since each extraneous character is another character design they'd have to create.

A good example of this is Non Non Biyori where you don't see Renge's parents at all because her oldest sister (and teacher) Kazuho is essentially her main guardian (their farmer parents are implied to always be either out working in their rice fields or sleeping in another room), while Non Non Biyori mangaka Atto does draw Natsumi's mother Yukiko because Natsumi needs an authority figure outside of school. (On the other hand, Atto's never drawn Natsumi's father who's only ever been referred to once that I remember so he may be dead.)

My Hero Academia has a cast much, much more sprawling than Non Non Biyori's so I could easily imagine that Horikoshi limits the amount of parents he needs to draw to ones that are important to the plot or at least help give us a better understanding of the character (i.e. showing that Tsuyu's parents are even more frog-looking than her).

Reject isekai, shounen and moeshit modernity! Embrace 80s ultraviolence tradition!

It's just a theory. Look at who was revealed to be the traitor of UA and tell me that Horikoshi isn't done with all the twists and turns.

Shōnen does do it all the time, but sometimes, they do show their parent's whereabouts, so, it's not exactly unlikely that it could happen.

Man, I was trying to think of a good answer myself, but you gave a perfect one. GGG is incredible, especially in that every time you think it's done the craziest thing ever, it manages to top itself over and over. Plus Gai screaming his way through the series is one of the biggest highlights, his VA was born to yell. It's a hell of a trip.

GGG Final is also good if you want to dial up the crazy meter a few more notches, mixed with a lot more horniness compared to the series. It gets comical how many times the ladies end up in revealing outfits, have their clothes torn, or just flat-out nude, all in eight episodes. My only complaint is that it's a little rushed towards the end, like they planned for a couple more episodes but had to speed through to the end when they didn't have the budget. But man, what an end.
