How in the fuck does one recover from this shit?
8 pages of cuckolding all taking place in the MC's fantasy

8 fucking pages.

Christ, Reiji, what the fuck?
I see that the Reiji Rage has also appeared on this site. Its so hilarious watching the outrage from people who love this series. I always knew this series is bad since day one

Word has it that one of the crown jewels of the Shōwa era, Urusei Yatsura, is getting a re-adaptation for next year on Fuji TV.

I'm somewhat concerned.

A thing I always wondered, if any one of you knows Japanese, does learning the language destroy your enjoyment of certain anime openings?
Like, I can imagine some of the openings with the best tunes have horrendously cringy lyrics.

A lot of anime openings have cringe English in them, so I don't see how learning Japanese would make anything any different.

I can't remember the name of the show but it had the line "from the heart" or "from my heart" in english, but the singer drew out the vowels in "heart" in such a way that it didn't even sound like engrish so much as he was receiving some CBT in the studio

If they have to remake Urusei Yatsura, I hope they do it the Osomatsu-san remake way where it's pretty much just doing its own thing for the 21st century instead of being a more accurate adaptation of the original manga (the 1981 Urusei Yatsura TV series often took some liberties with the source material, probably to pad chapters out to fill an entire half-episode segment, when they weren't just making wholly original episodes).

Japan in the 80's especially was like this with how English was utilized in songs. I'm sure it's a "coolness factor" much in the way an English word or phrase is used in advertising or on a product.

One example I can think of is Zeta Gundam's use of a Neil Sedaka tune for one of their themes.

I still, yet again, stand by saying that 2022 will be one of the best years of anime on record. Most of the emphasis of anime will be placed on mecha, harem and sci-fi.

Sure there will be some isekai here and there, along with Miyazaki returning, but it will at least (almost) remind me of the early 00’s in a way.

Apparently it's Sumire Uesaka voicing her. She kinda fits the role. I have good expectation for the remake, the Japanese are better at doing it than the Hollywood, after all
Edit:
There's a website now, and a countdown, so I think it's legit
