Jeez, there's actually quite a lot of good series this season.
Has there been any rampage on twatter, about the tranny on Blue Period. Especially for the weirdo-comment?
No rampaging, since it isn't a "normie mainstream" anime one, so more like impotent raging.
Not twitter, but I think reddit is close enough.

From the manga sub reddit, feat janny.

The self-awareness of that last one though.

As you can expect, most of them will cheer for trooning interpretation. Should be the same to a more popular subreddit like r/anime.

Is he even tranny? I haven't read it in a long time but from I can recall, he was just a crossdresser.

Literally forgot fall season was starting because I kind of just stopped watching anime for a bit, haven't even finished the shows I was watching last season. Always find it interesting when my attentions swaps to another hobby for a bit, really doesn't work well with keeping up with seasonal anime. Too often I find trying to keep up with all the different seasonal anime you're interested in more quickens the feeling of burnout rather than just picking a random complete anime to watch at your own pace. Maybe that might just be me.
I remember really enjoying the LN for this because it actually had the pre-isekai part having a role in MC's growth and it actually tried to develop a unique fantasy world. Only stopped because I forgot about it waiting for the next volume and the manga didn't interest me at all with the fucked up designs compared to the LN art (along with how the characters are introduced). Kind of also iffy on the anime art from the stuff I've seen, because the designs are sadly lacking compared to how I visualized them while reading. Like, MC I expected to look rather beefy and not like generic anime twink given all the training he went through and how they described him. Anime version doesn't seem like some that could choke out a dragon .

Might check out a couple episodes to see how it is or just go back to reading the LN.

Reddit is Reddit but when did MAL become filled with these types? Granted I haven't touched MAL in over a decade but I recently checked some of the discussions and it's just Reddit 2.0 now. The Mushoku Tensei threads are especially hilarious.

A tard there got genuinely mad at me for wishing a guy to rape another obnoxious guy in a yaoi. And a bunch got enraged for me wishing the mc to rape the obnoxious redhead in Mushoku Tensei.
Holy fuck, it’s a fucking cartoon:stress:

Funny thing is he did contemplate raping her. But they cut that inner monologue out.

From my experience, even if those types appear on MAL forums they get quickly told by the userbase. But I guess it depends on the show.

Ah, I forgot about this.

OPM I still follow but I'm getting real fucking sick of the redraws and extra chapters he keeps doing. He's taking longer than One did to wrap up the monster association arc and One takes constant breaks for months at a time.

OPM I kinda dropped because I kept getting annoyed with Murata going back and re-editing chapters making it a bit hard to follow and stay up to date (I am planning to pick it back up eventually when the Human Monster Saga finally wraps up)

One Punch Man could have easily turned into One Note Man, but regardless, I thought Saitama had been completely forgotten about in his own title and the whole thing had devolved into plotless fights. I reread the monster association chapters, and it hasn't really been long since he was last seen, it just feels like that because of the gaps between chapters. The current wait is closing in on three months. I'm not a big manga reader, but the few I keep up with, the mangaka only take off a week or two at a time. Are many other titles spoiled by these kinds of delays?

last order and Mars chronicles are interesting reads but they feel a bit fanfictiony. the original story is a good, self contained story. I haven't kept up with Mars Chronicles because the story feels like a reconned prequel.

Talk about plotless fights. Last Order got completely sidetracked by the ZOTT. It's like OPM in that regard: some of the side characters and their stories are interesting I have a soft spot for Ping Wu and Toji but a little less time might have been spent on the mercurian wang-monster and the wolfman with a nose in his forehead.
I wonder if Yukito is going to chronicle every minute of young Yoko's life before he gets back to the 'current' storyline. I liked whole Baron Muster arc, the history of Mars and such, though the twist was kind of freakish, with Alita being a tumor with a face. But it's starting to stretch thin, like the ZOTT all over again. I don't know where to read the chapters as they come out, I had to sit and wait for the latest volume to appear on Amazon. It felt like I was through it in ten minutes and nothing happened in it.

Can't stand characters that cry too fucking much.

Every time I see Midoriya's mom she has tears and snot streaming down her face. I realised Deku took after her, by design or chance. There was a recent chapter where someone he previously rescued called him "My crybaby hero". I couldn't decide whether it was Horikoshi or the english translator trolling the complainers.
Still, I like him. Also, while he's an extreme case, I see male characters in a few manga, anime and japanese films break down and howl. Is it like, the larger than life emotions and manly tears of vikings, riders of Rohan and things, from before the west decided crying was for girls?

I took years off Mars Chronicle a couple chapters after the Muster arc finally ended and it still sounds like nothing happened since then, maybe I'll wait a little longer. I loved Last Order as I read it but it was complete. Trying to read Mars Chronicle chapter to chapter, or even volume to volume is so unsatisfying. Muster was great as a finished story but I knew whatever came after wouldn't be worth it for years, and apparently that wasn't enough.

I bet the PS1 game will get translated before another arc is even done, I was always curious about it and it's nice to see there's work being done on it. Looking at the summary I think a lot of people would prefer it. The tournament is incredibly short and most of the characters aren't there, even the villain wasn't there yet. The Mars Chronicle portion jumps straight into fighting the zombie Kunstlers. No flashbacks iirc, or at least nothing long, on that note it also goes off the original manga ending where her backstory is completely different. There's clear predecessors for some elements in Last Order and Mars Chronicle, but with some curious differences. For example the masque tumor actually doesn't effect the brain like the manga says, so the queen reduced herself to a brain in a jar to escape it is and is still around because Muster doesn't exist here. Alita is in fact one of her tumors (I think her turning out to be Muster's tumor in the manga was to surprise people who played the game already), and the queen hates her for having her former beauty in a perfect unaging body.

alita being a tumor was so dumb. Mars chronicles can be fun but it's definitely a different story with alita pasted in where possible. it sucks Fox is shelving the alita movie.

Now that Fall 2021 has started, anyone remember Fall 2011, the greatest season of anime? EDIT: I got the year wrong, I meant Fall 2010.

EDIT:
Watching first episodes now, will edit this post over time if there are no replies:

Komi-san: Saw it in a bookstore and wanted to read it because the artstyle was cute but no where sold the first volume. Read it online up to ch46. Was that mention in the ending about the school having a verbal test a spoiler or did I just miss that? Really like the style. Music choice was really good.
Waccha PriMagi: Hogwarts in the beginning turned me off, didn't make it past 10 minutes
Blue Period: Thanks for mentioning it in this thread. Skipped it when looking over the season in anichart. Really intriguing. ED music is amazing.
Megato-kyuu Musashi: Now THIS is an anime. Very fast paced (are most mecha like this?)
Visual Prison: A musical with vampires. If you just want to watch music videos it's pretty good.
Taishou Otome Otogibanashi: Perfect girlfriend simulator. Best watched completely blind without even knowing the description.

I just remember that Guilty Crown was fucking huge, then suddenly became the punchline of a joke that lasted years.

I chose to pick up My Senpai is Annoying because of the huge guy, tiny girl dynamic that always gives me life, and I'm just going "How's this guy annoying to the main lead, again? He's been nothing but awesome to her. If nothing else, it's some other senpai(?) that she should be going "UZAIIIII" towards. That was in the first episode, though, there may be more things showcasing it later on. It's cute, but not as heartwrenchingly adorable as My Love Story, but I'll take what I can get because hnnnnngh he's a big guy like my man~

I also watched the first episode of the short Kaginado and I just have to ask "Why was this made?" And I get it's a parody, but why would you open up with parodies of the emotional high points of these series? For fuck's sake, guys, Misuzu's "Goal" isn't rife with parody opportunities, especially when you keep the music intact. Do something else with the characters. Also WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY DOES THIS EXIST???

idk, it's kinda an ingenious way of reminding the viewer what happened in a show that came out 2 decades ago with its basic character characteristic without needing a long winded explanation and raising a slight chuckle.

Here's a well-done fan made ending credits sequence if you've ever wondered what the ED for WataMote season 2 might look like. The song is "Dear My Friends", the ending song from the first cour of A Certain Scientific Railgun.

It's missing Asuka Katou but, if WataMote was ever continued as an anime, Katou would be more of a season 3 character anyway, making only occasional appearances as an unnamed classmate in season 2 if it stays true to the manga.

Shit like this (however minor the scene really is) really makes you wonder why they even bother adapting these long series just to make a shittier inferior product. Who does this show even appeal to?
