I avoid gachashit and diss on anyone who likes it for good reason. Its all soulless, the functionality, """gameplay""" and its art. Chink gachashit is especially bad since they, like typical chinks, have artwork which only "looks" japanese on the surface but the finest details can detect that its not authentic made. Its not a homage if you think slapping an increasingly stupid plot that another series used to its success is going to share the same result to your gachashit game, that's called being a fucking hack.

What’s up with Tokyo Revengers? I saw a lot of hype surrounding it but reading the summary it sounds like yet another shitty Peggy Sue time travel story.

I don't get it either. I love delinquent manga and I liked his other manga shinjuku swan but this one really sucks. There's some good ideas in there, with a small time gang developing into a much bigger threat and 1 guy trying to overthrow the current leader, but the protagonist is shit. He just flails around until he somehow solves the problem. Ended up dropping after a few time skips when the protagonist was stalking his friend on a date like a fucking romcom.

Im just checking in on some of the old franchises I used to like. Geass news has always been very rare and for some reason they never really capitalized on the success of the anime.

I've kinda stopped reading the manga for TG since a while, but it gets really repetitive after a while.

I'm gonna help you here, Terra Formers turns into garbage later on, & is on a hiatus for years due to mangaka's health.

I just realized calarts really only works when you're ripping off characters from a more detailed style. They all look the fucking same except for costuming (including the real ones, not just these jokes)

Highly recommend Heike Monogatari's first episode. I like the artstyle and some scenes really have an impact. But I'm a sucker for stories about girls with sad life story having a happy ending (at least until the eventual encroaching catastrophe).

I'm up to date on MHA and the manga is really good. The anime is just a mediocre adaptation where the creative team is actively hindered by the executives whether it's for filler movies or censoring some shit for TV along with extending recaps. Manga is much better for not being as constrained.

On a side note I started reading Terra Formars and the concept is ridiculously dumb and edgy. I'll have to give it another volume or two to decide if this is a good thing or a bad thing because at face value I’m not sure how serious I’m supposed to be taking a story about genetically modified humans with bug superpowers exterminating nigroaches.

All I know about Tokyo Revengers is that the MC cries so much to the point any other MC who cries a lot will look like a chad. It's even worse since the MC for Tokyo Revengers is a grown ass adult whereas most crybaby MCs are teenagers at least.

At one point this chick who is introduced later in the story puts a cigarette out on her own tongue, jumps out of the chair she's sitting in, whips said chair over top of herself with her legs, sending the back rest flying straight into the teeth of some asshole, it was pretty amazing.

Delinquents beating the shit out of people is a pretty entertaining genre.

I’ve read the first 15 chapters, and I’m definitely enjoying it, but god damn are there some salty ass fuckers in the comments complaining about how the MC doesn’t become super OP and fuck all the women.

And that’s way more annoying than a harem anime/manga with a generic MC. People getting this bent out of shape of a character not being whatever it is they want.

EDIT: also calling the main character sexist because he wants to protect women. Christ, I hate current year…

Started reading Blame! again (with a non-shit scan this time) and man, reading this is way more taxing than reading something with actual dialogue. This basically takes “sequential art” to its logical conclusion since dialogue and narration are almost nonexistent, and you really need to pay attention to the art to understand what’s actually going on.

The only isekai I can think off the top of my head with a funky set up like that is Re:Zero which takes place on a flat earth with no ocean, surrounded by waterfalls. They don't mention it in the anime, though and its still a euro set up.

Not isekai but Goblin Slayer has two moons, a green one and a red one. For that sort of feel though, try Houseki no Kuni or Dai Dark.
Edit: Wakusei Closet probably fits too.

I haven't watched it yet (I have the episodes on my computer, just haven't touched it), but just based off the synopsis and poster alone, Strange Dawn might be what you're looking for.
