Has anyone tried watching the new season of Tiger and Bunny, I remember watching the first season around 10-ish years ago and liking it well enough, although I watched it when I was just getting into anime and would watch almost anything that was put in front of me.
Knowing netflix track record I wouldn't be surprised if they managed to fuck it up somehow (iirc they did manage to fumble the first season by removing the sponsors from the show and cutting the last 2-3 min out from each episode).
What I'm about to type may come off as just petty sperging, but I think they fucked it up by releasing it in typical netflix binge fashion. If you release an anime original on a weekly basis you keep the hype up and the fans can speculate on the plot, but at this point to give /a/ as an example there's been like 2-3 threads close to the airing date but now everyone who wanted to watch it already has gone through all the available episodes and discussed what they liked and disliked and the hype is allowed to die down severely by the time the second half of the season is released.

As for the actual plot, it was ok. Kotetsu and Barnaby do indeed take on more of a supporting role and most of the episodes are focused on how the other heroes are also forming a duo now and how this affects them. I don't like the two new dudes and the uguu moe little girl that dragon kid is paired up with but I like how Ryan fits into the main cast. He's funny.

SPY x FAMILY is pure kino.
Yes it is. Not sure how this can go longer than 1 season since the premise can be resolved easily, but we'll see. Hopefully this will solve Japan's declining birth rate.

Checked out Summertime Rendering. Looks like a decent mystery show, and it has pleb repellent material

It's not really something Netflix had a hand in. They just paid for (Oftentimes timed) exclusivity rights, like a lot of their anime content. The removal of a lot of the sponsors wasn't a Netflix thing either, that was done on the Hulu broadcast and other platforms too. I hate Netflix as much as they next guy, but they only really fuck up dubs and stuff as far as animu goes.

You know I might be alone in this but I don't mind the netflix batch release for two reasons, it reminds me of my very early days of watching anime where almost everything I watched was either checked out form a library or video store and I kinda think discussing anime online isn't really worth it anymore. Reddit is just a circle jerk for shows you like, /a/ like the rest of 4chan has been going downhill for various reasons, and twitter is and has always been garbage.
It says something when you end up going to Kiwi Farms of all places over the above mentioned sites to talk about anime, and who knows how long that'll last since I'd be willing to bet Null considers this thread more of a containment zone than A&H and is a few mentions to watch anime away from nuking the thread.

Yeah, watching SxF after having read it, there needs to be a time-skip where Yor and Loid actually get married and have a kid to deal. That would mitigate the dramatic irony of the secret identities. Anya can grow up to be like the chill and aloof Hina while still being cute and innocent like Anzu, making for a great big sister. And to top this fanfiction-lite off, when she's grown up in that supposed time-skip Honestly, just do a partial ripoff of Hina for Anya, or the author is based and usurps my thoughts and carries Anya into his own unique way.

Either way, there has to be a time-skip. And currently, some big progress with the Damien/School mission because it's not satisfying/a little frustrating for us to sit there with infrequent releases. Kind of like how OPM is, hopefully, finally wrapping up the Monster Association arc.

I don't think I remember such a healing anime season in the last couple of years.
Same, this season is weirdly more towards wholesome SoL stuff.
I guess you guys are watching Deaimon too? I jumped into it after having enjoyed Sweetness and lightning and that anime where the dude adopted a tanuki kid and this one is pretty cute as well.

I swear the lead guy in Deaimon, look like the lead male Yuu from Fuuka. Even plays guitar.

Came here to ask for some recommendations, i'm tired of how samey a lot of shit on the western side is.

What would you guys recommend as a "fast food" sorta show? Not really looking to get super invested in deep lore, complex characters and intricate themes, just wanna have something funny to pop in when i'm bored

...Wouldnt mind some fanservice either
There's a lot you can watch for, the SoL genre is perfect for that and it's vast as well, personally my go to for rewatches is Azumanga Daioh or Seto no Hanayome

The latter if you're not familiar, is a show about a guy who on holiday nearly drowns, but is saved by a mermaid. However, it turns out she's a yakuza princess and he gets shotgunned into marriage betrothal in order to prevent the mermaid mafia's existence from leaking. Shenanigans ensue as the mafia try to whack him as the boss doesn't want a weedy guy marrying his daughter. Watching it makes me yearn for the 00's era of harems, honestly

I wanna say anime stuff too but I have no idea what you guys are talking about, so I'll just mention Street Fighter II V. That shit was fun as hell to watch.

I was saying it due to Shachiku-san & multiple romcoms (specially the Sentai one) running.

I was stupidly lucky to come across the complete collection at a thrift store, really neat casing it has with nice artwork and screenshots from the show itself. Manga Entertainment must've been pretty confident about it.

Got into Way of the House Husband recently. Best chapter so far is the driving one. Poor Tatsu is so fucked in the head he needs to know if a Honda Fit is bulletproof. I don't think bulletproof anything is protecting him from a big ass RPG.

The roomba chapter is also great.

saved by a mermaid. However, it turns out she's a yakuza princess
It should be noted that this is a Japanese pun, which serves as the framing device for the whole series. Ningyo means mermaid, but can also be read as ninkyo, which means "chivalry" in the sense of the code that yakuza theoretically follow.
