And cats,

Definitely cats. :smug:

nekopara S2 when?
but if you need an anthropomorphic fix, uma musume pretty derby S2 started this season - which I never excepted at all, considering the gatcha it was supposed to push was seemingly abandoned forever.

I don't remember rabbits nor cats being all that important in the anime, but then again I don't remember anything about it. And I really liked Kiniro Mosaic, so I don't mind CGDCT shows in the slightest, but I didn't think Is This Order a Rabbit? was anything special.

well, there's the thing with the grandpa transferring into this:

Englishangora.jpg

ama usa an has their own rabbit mascot, syaro's la fleur uniform has hanging rabbit ears (and later gets her own). wouldn't call it important, but the rabbit theme is low key all over the place - rabbit house, rabbit pens, rabbit puzzles, rabbit boardgames, rabbit icons on everything, etc.

for the longest time I couldn't understand the hype either, but S3 really nailed it for me (that halloween episode with chino's mom is just HNNNNG).
at first it really does look like your average sol where nothing ever happens (as much as I like wholesome CGDCT, at some point it just"meanders" out for me, one of the reasons I still haven't finished kiniro mosaic, yuru yuri, lucky star etc.). gochiusa has at least some progression, even if it's slow, and nice throwbacks to earlier stuff if you notice it (like chino still using the rabbit pen they bought in S1). plus good writing and gags with some injokes that improve it quite a bit.

also 3 lolis, if that's your thing.

I usually wait on watching the anime social media creams their pants to. Helps to level expectations and hopefully if I like it there's more out when I'm caught up
I'm about the same, I had gotten a funi trial because I wanted to see Log Horizon season 3, and they had Demon Slayer there so I was like "sure why not" with social media dying down for it beyond the movie doing numbers.

I actually just marathoned through the rest of it to this early morning and I'd say at it's core it's a good show and has some great stuff, but it IMO is not this anime of the decade crap Funi was pushing. Let alone when you have show like Mob Psycho that will give it a run for it's money, let alone non shonen shows like Rakugo Shinju.

It has some of that awful cg Japanese media has, where it looks completely off putting (the last episode has a SHIT TON of it), but like the animation at times (like when Zenitsu vs the spider dude) is pretty nuts. The music is fantastic and def is Go Shiina all the way though, so I'm prob gonna buy the soundtrack at the very least.

Weirdly lefty twitter is not nearly as upset about Redo of Healer as I'd expect them to be especially considering how much they spazzed over Shield Hero and since Redo is much more extreme.

Maybe they got distracted by Biden winning.

They're too occupied with Nagatoro's anime announcement and the "blatant racism" of the tanned anime girl to get mad at Redo of Healer. They lack any sense of parallel processing it seems.

One thing I am concerned about when it comes to Nagatoro is the way they're gonna handle the first two episodes. I liked the early chapters of Nagatoro but people are gonna bitch and cry about the early parts since it's "really offensive bullying".

Luckily, people are doing their best to stomp out the blatant racism of Nagatoro. God Bless.

Could be they have lost interest? I mean that's bound to happen if the same thing keeps happening over and over...even if it sometimes takes far longer than it should.

I heard people saying that dark skinned anime characters were black. I can't keep up with the mental hopscotch they're playing. So it's white supremacy now? Pic related. By the way, I thought Nadia was from Atlantis. Also, Anthy is supposed to be of Indian descent.

My introduction to this series was this video:

I've only watched S1, but bought S2 when Sentai had it on sale for something like $5.
I'm one of those people who has 10 shows in their backlog to watch but seemingly never gets around to it.

The new chapter of Berserk felt like filler until the last couple pages. Guess he wanted to have a laugh before he got to this point. I knew this was gonna happen after that chapter where Griffith disappears from his bedroom during the full moon. I mean what else would be more effective? Guts is thinking about his grudge against Griffith and then the moonlight child shows up, who just so happens to only turn up on the full moon, a night where Griffith disappears. Somethings gonna happen to keep him around before he can run off into those spirit vines like last time, and he'll turn back into Griffith on the island when the sun comes up. "hawk of light" lol. The author did say in an interview a while back that we were coming close to a real Guts/Griffith fight. Skull Knight, Casca, and a powerful wizard are nearby so Guts has some backup but we don't really know the extent or limit to Griffith's powers besides redirecting attacks, repelling at close range, and a gravity crush attack with a long windup. I doubt he'll manage to kill him here but it should be a good fight... that we'll experience 15 pages at a time over three years (:_(

I started watching Black Clover and I hate it but I cant stop.

* Episode long fight scenes with lots of talking

* Characters in love but denying it for 50 episodes

* Poor animation

* Characters seem retarded

* Plot you can see happening a mile away

That being said the series has gotten a lot of genuine laughs from me, mostly because of Yami. They do acknowledge that the cast is mostly made up of brainless infants. I switched to the dub because Astas voice actor gave me a headache and it hasnt been the worst. It hasnt been the worst thing to put on in the background but it seems like there have been a ton of episodes where nothing has happened.

Much more extreme is probably the problem. Goblin Slayer and Shield Hero are mainstream normy tier so Twitter heard about it and there was much gnashing of teeth.
Redo doesn't have mainstream appeal so the mainstream just doesn't notice it. Otherwise they would be sperging out 24/7 over all the rapey hentai.

Are they seriously talking about Chloe being nazi bait? This is why no one likes Americans

I did think it was wierd how she kept throwing siege hails and asking Illya to secure the future for their children. Maybe they're on to something?

Twitter netizens who “love” anime only like it because of the aesthetic and art, not because of the plot and story. It’s no surprise that they have never heard of gyaru.

know that feel bro.
if you ever decide to, watch the 2 OVAs after S2 too. they're not that long, give some nice background info and have some stuff which comes up here and there in S3. they're not really necessary but if you like it makes it better.

it's not even that, people tend to get darker when they spend some time in the sun. mindblowing, I know. makes me wonder if those tards ever left their room at some point.

I wasn't even aware they had OVAs, I'll have to make sure to pick those up if they aren't on the disc.

I remember a few years ago Love Lab came under fire because they used blackface in one of their episodes.
At least that one had a bit of merit because of the context.

I love Love Lab and I don't even remember that moment lol. And here I wish that that show got more recognition.

Any interesting anime this season? I've been playing it safe with the wholesome shows.
Out of the stuff I picked up this season, I think the most unique shows are Kai Byoui Ramune and Tenchi Souzou Design-Bu. The former is a case of the week show about a guy who cures supernatural diseases that people get from unresolved emotional baggage, and the latter is a comedy/educational show about a team of people who were hired by god to design animals.

Neither are really deep on a plot level, but they're the type of shows that keep me interested on a weekly basis to just see where they go next, and the animal trivia from design-bu is fun.
