Thinking of watching Cowboy Bebop. I hear a few people say that it's essentially a must watch, and from the looks of things, I kinda like the art style. Plus, Hunger Mythos is a character in it, so it should be good.

All I know about the show really is the phrase "See you Space Cowboy".

Same here. I've heard nothing but good things about it. I do know what happens to a certain someone, though.

Watched it on Razer before it became MTV2. This was in highschool, btw. A few years later during college, having not watched it since, I find the complete series for 60. Starved for a week to buy it. Worth it man. Hell, I saw a bluray release at Walmart last week for 45 and I was tempted to buy it, and I'm the type of guy who held onto his vcr and tapes.
 
Just found out that there exists an anime called "Butt Attack Punisher Girl Gotaman"

That is the greatest name for any anime ever. And supposedly, Christianity plays a heavy role in the series (a two episode OVA).

Yeah, I think there's supposed to be a message to it.

Theory under spoilers just 'cause.
It's meant to show how anime obsessions can be toxic. The blue-haired girl is a particular character the guy is obsessed with, and the pink-haired one is his girlfriend. Notice how we see two different variations of the pink-haired girl: the villain-esque, sexual one with the mask and ponytail, and the innocent damsel-in-distress with her hair down. I think they're supposed to represent how the guy feels about her; most likely two kinds of guilt ("I won't forgive you" vs. "please come back to me"). And so he's beating himself up over it. The part where he transforms into a space soldier is him attempting to both fight his obsession and stay loyal to his girlfriend. But in the end, he is defeated, and the cycle repeats itself.

Read the manga. That shit gave me nightmares. Good times :)

Focusing on finishing Gundam SEED. 35/48 episodes down (HD remaster) and, wow. After the Strike/Aegis battle the writing just jumped off a cliff. I mean, before it was good, not great but still okay. Now it's becoming insulting.
 
Found every episode of an English dub of the original, uncut Science Ninja Team Gatchaman series. Not Battle of the Planets (which gargles elephant cock with its retarded names and exposition-spewing robot), not G-Force (which I kinda grew up with), but yet another dub that I had no idea even existed until today (I think ADV was behind it).

And it's really good except for the fucking mumbler who does Berge Katse's English voice. I watched 4 episodes this morning but I eventually want to watch all 105 episodes (yes unlike BoTP and G-Force, this version actually dubbed all the episodes instead of most of them).

Yeah, that was ADV behind the third (and full) dub. But I think the voice acting as a whole is weak. In that not many of the actors seem to be giving a damn about it. I duuno, just my opinion.
 
Scarlett Johansson has been cast as Makoto Kusanagi in Hollywood's Ghost in the Shell adaptation. People are already pissed, and I can't say I blame them.

Personally, I'd rather not have a Hollywood Ghost in the Shell movie in general
 
The only anime I've been really interested in is Space Dandy and man, is that anime brilliant.
 
Currently enjoying Parasyte: The Maxim and The Tatami Galaxy, both have excellent animation.
