Fan Subs > Offical Subs
I recommend downloading torrents from nyaa.si if you have a vpn and some storage space. They have pretty good fan-subs.

I remember 20 years ago, some other country like Thailand would translate, but those fansubs were poorly translated, like when people are getting killed the subs read "Wow" while they are screaming, or when someone got kidnapped, the people would say "She was robbed". What would fansubs from that era be like if used today?

But if the fact the official English translation for Yomi no Tsugai is Daemons of the Shadow Realm is enough to piss off a certain company that's gone after people in the past who've used words said company doesn't have the copyright for like "Imperial Guard", "Eldar", "Space Marine", etc,
That might be some of the funniest shit I've seen in awhile.
 
My favorite battle shonen slop is coming back, I'm gonna cry. The arc getting adapted next is imo the peak of the whole series and I'd put the battles that take place in it up there with the greats. It might not be as well written or complex as those who came before but I don't think anything oozes it's love for the battle shonen genre like Black Clover does.

The exact "Merry Christmas" scene in the preview image has one of the best uses of the Walmart Great Value brand soundalike version of Mike Oldfield's "Tubular Bells" (used as The Exorcist theme) in the entire series.

It's not Gabriel Dropout season 2 but that series' director Masahiko Ohta is working on another demon girl series for 2026 with The Demon King's Daughter Is Too Kind. (I haven't yet read the manga for that one so I have no idea how it compares to Gabriel Dropout.)


EDIT: I'm just giving that manga a quick look, it's also got a demon named "Jahy" in it but this one's more of a tutor/babysitter to Dou (the demon king's daughter) than she is the brown-skinned dark world queen turned tavern waitress that I usually associate with the name "Jahy".

New Panty and Stocking with Garterbelt had its world premiere at Anime Expo on Fourth of July and unsurprisingly, it leaked onto the internet within a matter of hours. Apparently multiple people had tried to record it but were kicked out, though someone livestreamed it and cut that part out.

but keep in mind japan is another culture, they see sex and violence through a somewhat different lens than westerners that grew up under a christian morality for 2000 years. if you fuck your mate's gf you end up in hell.
not that it takes so long for that difference to form, just look at usa and europe. burgers have no issue with violence, while europe has. in return europe is for more chill regarding sexuality (for good or bad). that repression probably also explains why burgers have to sexualize bloody everything...

this is gonna sound incredibly weeb, but anime is often more "cerebral". that's a fart-huffing term that impresses redditors, but it's not wrong. in parts it's because it's a different medium (a stage play will be written differently than a screenplay, a book will tell the story differently than a movie), but like I said nips see things a bit different.
same reason NTR is more popular over there, westerners aren't that much into the emotional and psychological torture of it happening and more into "you fuck my girl I fuck you up". or why their escapism looks more like your average isekai. you could probably write a dozen different theses about that.
on the more uplifting side it's often about growth and overcoming hardship (school-settings especially), even the most bland battle-shonen or CGDCT has that morality somewhere. people laugh about the power of friendship defeating the villain, but not many think about what that really means.

I assume that's why asian media is becoming increasingly popular compared to western slop, the messages are more universal - and obviously not pozzed as fuck, the morality of the average western protagonist of current year is retarded as fuck, if not outright offensive. there's a reason the monomyth (or "sympathetic plot") is even older than christian morality. as much as I rag on niggercattle, subconsciously they still know the difference, even if they couldn't explain it.

EDIT: since that post sounds incredibly pretentious (especially as a reply regarding an anime about horse girls), this might explain more, and also why the nerds I talked about before obviously gravitate towards asian media:

I heard about this, and have seen people voicing their complaints about the first episode of a romcon manga adaption, Busu ni Hanataba o. The main character has a moment where she's had an embarrassing moment with a boy she likes and has gone to the ladies' room to hide, and, according to Japanese-fluent people says "Its over, Its all over!" a couple of times. So, take it away, localizers:
