over the top unironic "two A-bombs weren't enough!" sentiment.

One could argue that part of it is ESL Seaniggers or other Asians (or second-generation Asian migrants). Nothing burns hotter than Asian on Asian hatred.

Or it's just retards. Despite iffy Japanese tendencies (particularly heightened by the contemporary victim-hood veneration cult) there are some good works in manga about the brutality and futility of Imperial Japan, fuckin' Shigeru Mizuki wrote an entire manga about that and he lost a arm during a bombing, so I'd argue he had all the justifications and background to do so.

It's just edgy retards.

The original Cocoon manga features, among other events - a group of the teen nurses blowing themselves up with a grenade, a lead character being raped by a Japanese soldier and another lead noting glumly the Americans treat her better.

Not even subtextual!

A lot of this "grrrr, I hate Japan (unless it's convenient for me to praise it for a day or two as a socialist, feminist paradise just to own the chuds or gamergaters or whichever boogeyman I'm flipping out over)" reminds me of the performative hatred of The South by people whose ancestors weren't even living in the United States before or during the Civil War - it's just a target for them to vent their rage at political enemies over - "grrrrr, Sherman didn't go far enough but he was still awesome! Every city in Dixie should have been burned to the ground, then we would be living in a liberal utopia now!"

This is what The Apothecary Diaries released for April Fools Day:
I wouldn't actually mind seeing this become real as a series of shorts, like Kimetsu Academy.

I feel like Isekai isn’t inherently bad. Power fantasies can be fun. Spider-Man and John Carter are two of the most prominent. Spider-Man even killed a love interest (that has since gotten meme’d into being something she’s not.

I just want an antagonist in an Isekai to be a credible threat or at least have the first impression of a character be far off base due to the protagonist fucking up a cultural thing.

Coonkenshin is not entertaining at all I don't know what all these white people see in this nigger.
It's nothing to go crazy about, but I think that he is an OK content creator (for the right game, I don't generally care about most indie horror games).

Is anyone even reading Akasaka's new series because the only people I know who even care are a handful still mad at both kaguya and OnK (and the only thing they've said about it is that it was marketed as a fantasy romcom, and hacka couldn't even keep that up for 1 chapter).

Hacka fucked up twice in a row in very retarded ways both times so I decided to simply ignore all future works he does.

Did anyone watched/read Kijin Gentoushou? I have mixed feelings about the first episode. This one is clearly going the tragedy route and I'm afraid to give it more time and be let down by misery porn.

Relatedly, my Pixiv feed is shilling me an article about how webtoons are misunderstood, and I gotta ask: What's misunderstood about a medium with a reputation for being even more low-rent than light novels, especially when the article's poster boy is Solo Levelling which is still just another fucking isekai at the end of the day? Didn't they ever think anyone that would like Solo Levelling would have heard of it by now?

Someone please explain to me what these dumbass particular chinks are thinking and doing.

I am still mad about what he did to Hayasaka.

Fuck you and choke on your cum Hacka.

an article about how webtoons are misunderstood,
There was a webtoon about a Korean kid being bullied by (half?) black guys and he gave them a taste of their own racism. People were upset and I'm guessing the article doesn't defend that particular story. It seems like an article justifying the weird webtoons that merely serve as wish fulfillment for the author's fetishes.

The only good webtoon I've read was Relife, and I primarily just watched the anime of that.

That description has just reminded me of the webtoon where a korean kid is being bullied by rich people until he for some reason gets a free ride as the first male student at a formerly all-girls martial arts school, where he learns enough to save other poor korean boys from rich bullies (by befriending the richest martial arts girl at the school)

This one? Apparently it's called "get schooled".
