So big titty in/spectre?

Roughly, but you don't want to kill the protagonists every time they appear. Season 2 of In/spectre had some nice cases, excellent setups (particularly in the Yuki-Onna case) and then the protagonists show up and the female lead is a cunt (not even an endearing one, simply a vulgar cunt) and the male lead is a piece of wet paper.

At least Kaii to Otome has the decency of having a main cast that has some character behind it.

It was announced some time ago; it's going to be a film, produced by the rights-holder of the films, WB, so they have the license to use all the music and elements from the Peter Jackson movies (unlike Rings of Power). It's being directed by the guy who did Ghost In The Shell: Standalone Complex, and is being written by Phillipa Boyens, who was one of the two women who served as screenwriters for both the LOTR Trilogy and the Hobbit films.

Runtime of the film is 2 hr 10 min, which is pretty long for an anime film, especially one licensed and funded by a Western studio like WB. It's weird that they'd go all out for this, but resort to ugly-ass CG and cheap looking 2D animation for shit like Batman Ninja or Suicide Squad: Isekai.
The lotr thread says it's being written by Jeffrey Addiss and Will Matthews. Going by the summary and one of the guys twitter posts, I wouldn't hold my breath. What a waste of talent.

That's the appeal. Full on female bitch protagonist is fucking rare when it isn't being played for comedy (hello Aqua, Panty, and Stocking). Also her being a virgin slut is a gap moe thing because she's a small rich girl that looks like a china doll and is physically disabled. I think she's a fun character, boyfriend isn't but his justification for being a doormat is better then 99% of herbivore males. Also his entire backstory activates the "renting Mermaid Forest from Blockbuster" parts of my brain so there's that.

That's the appeal.

I enjoy unconventional female protagonists (hell, I love CrossAnge and that's a category of its own in regard to bitch lead) but Kotoko/Kuro kinda.... suck away all the enjoyment of the cases. Season 2 was all interesting setup and interesting people and then the cunt and her lackey get in, do a lot of badly-written talking and the case is over. It's like I'm watching a shittier version of Monogatari without the fanservice.

I should like the little goblin, but she's .... simply annoying and drags down the ambience with her mere presence. The cardinal sin, she makes her cases boring. But maybe it's simply me.

Unfortunately I found out Mahoromatic has a season 2. This did prompt me to rewatch the great first season again however and I realized something, would this even be able to be aired now? It really puts things into perspective how much things changed so quickly after the millennium when you go back and watch something early 2000’s
Hoo boy, Mahoromatic is my nuclear button. Talk about a waste of a great premise with some taunting false promises of brilliances lurking beneath. It could have been amazing if the show was actively interested in its sci-fi premise aside from an excuse for a fembot fetish. That said, the OVA is really good -- probably AOTY 2009, but 2009 was a slow year for mecha, with only RideBack, Viper's Creed (neither of which I have seen but Viper's Creed is probably better than Mahoromatic), Ring of Gundam (a five-minute short), and Eva 2.0 (which is mostly a straight remake). The OVA has super cool transforming jet robots, and I revisited the OVA's action scenes just for this post, and look what I found:

I have discovered the origin point for a classic meme. The show is strangely enjoyable so far.
Those races have no sense of speed whatsoever. People say shows like F-Zero, Webdiver, and SD Gundam Force are bad for CGI, but at least the races in F-Zero feel fast.
Probably not. Also moo.
It could air, but it would either have to be safe-horny or way more over-the-top than it already is.

Interesting you say that, because you are making the same mistake the antagonists do by thinking it is only about speed... on the downhill, it's all about the master drifto.
It remind of Monogatari but with far less coom and incest (as well as not having several episodes of pure talk). It's creative in having some deep lore on mystical monsters/phenomenon but it's not too groundbreaking. It's also a lot more lighthearted than it appears, with very little edge. I overall recommend if only for the heroine massive bust size.
Hmm. All tease and no nip makes jack a flaccid sad boy.

So the first season of Dungeon Meshi has ended. it lasted way longer then i thought it would. I really liked it though. It stayed fateful to the manga for the most part and the voice acting (the Japanese ones, death to dub fags). were great.

Season 2 is inbound though, hopefully it wont be a massive wait but if it can match s1's quality it'll be amazing

Finished Tales of Wedding Rings, was one of the animes I missed during the winter season. Was really good overall. Had beautiful animation and music. It was also quite funny at times and I didnt hate the MC. Satou is alright I guess. I just wish he was stronger but he might get more powerful in S2. Also as far as isekais go, I say this should be worth checking out. Lastly, Saphir is best girl. Hope season 2 turns out to be just as good.

Kaijuu #8 has shit going down in the end of the last episode. So far it's alright but it feels like some weird combination of Hero Academia (hero starting out as being a monster geek that can do strategies by trivia) and One Punch Man (nothing really matters until hero decides to go Kaijuu) though it's not as bad as both of those are, as the humans can actually fight well enough.

Apparently my hero is STILL fucking ongoing... I'll take a short but concise anime with a proper ending (Baccano) over endless shounen wank any day.
