Kinda sad that the Fate films are so low and some not even there
Another great anime film that is nowhere to be seen on the 2010 version of that list is The Disappearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. Admittedly, Disappearance is a movie where you really need to have seen at least the most essential episodes of the anime (or have read the important parts of the light novel and/or the manga adaptation thereof) to understand what the heck is going on, so I'm not surprised that it didn't appeal to the wider mainstream Japanese movie-going audience.

Does Shiki count?
Yeah but I already saw the anime. Total Vampire Death.

It's amazing how they fucked themselves with Endless Eight, I don't think even the Light Novels ever had an ending. Disappearance is fine but in the end it's just a basic bitch love story that's dependent on you liking the characters from the original series and care about shipping.

Remote Jugyou ni Nattara Class 1 no Bishoujo to Doukyo suru Koto ni Natta (MAL) (MangaDex)

An enigmatic virus is spreading widely. A world where "remote" is recommended.

Most wholesome show of the season continues to teach life lessons about the pain of partner death, with the first ever gilf.

It's a shame she's competing with 3 milk factories in the body department though.

Is anyone here watching the new Demon Slayer season? The first two episodes were so fucking bad I stopped. I don't remember Tanjiro being that level of annoying
Remember that mangaka that killed herself because the live action production changed shir from her work?

There was an internal investigation and they found out that the producer was lying to her

That recent comment by G.R.R. Martin is so fucking true
What were the changes? Also what GRRM quote?

The original news about Hinako Ashihara wasn't post on here. From r/manga and variety if you wanna have read more about it. There wasn't really much talk about what was changed, but more of social media drama between Ashihara and scriptwriter.

TL;DR, but not really: Ashihara only agreed with adaptation if NTV (Nippon TV) adapt faithfully, 10 episodes in total. But turn out it wasn't adapted faithfully as she would like. Of course, disagreement between her and production side, scriptwriting especially. After 8 episodes and big argument between the two, Ashihara handled scriptwriting for the last two episodes. Unfortunately, Ashihara wasn't experience with TV drama script writing either, audience reception on last two episodes wasn't really high. To fuel the internet drama, scriptwriter post on Instagram about it wasn't their fault for last two episodes being suck. Ashihara deleted all her posts criticizing drama adaptation, saying apology for bad reception and asking people not to harass. The rest is history, suicide.

GRRM recently about GoT adaptation.

Well, it's happening.
Sakamoto Days is finally getting its own anime, and I am absolutely excited about it.

It will come out in January 2025, so if you are curious about what this series is about, read the manga to see why it's worth the wait.

Looking forward to it, though the trailer doesn't fill me with confidence. While Dandadan lives on it's two page spreads, Sakamote lives and dies on it's fluid combat scenes and those want some top tier animation to do them proper justice. Hope it's a banger though. And hope the manga is in it's final arc and winding down, it's already starting to get a bit too funky for it's own good, though to be honest, as long as it's cool, it will keep my favor.
Recommendations for good manga that are not super short but not 1000+ chapters and have an actual good ending?
Mmm, Eyeshield 21 or Haikyu if you want sports. Eyeshield does have an arc too many but Haikyu I'd classify as a pretty tight series.

Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer and Spirit Circle. First one is longer than the second and has a rocky start, but I enjoy it more, but the second is more balanced since it's a later series made by the same author. They are both kind of shounenish is the best I can say, but both are very atypical.

Mmm, I imagine you have already read Dungeon Meshi or Full Metal Alchemist... I swear I read a ton of stuff and some pretty good one... but I have a hard time remembering them...

Oh! Holyland. This is a weird seinen, honestly it may seem juvenile as fuck and I read this over a decade ago, but it's basically about a very confused teen without identity and how he desperately searches for a place and ends up in what amounts to street fighting. Though it's a Seinen, I'd say no real nudity and not particularly gory.

Oh, and if you just want to curl into a ball and die, Oyasumi Punpun, this shit is depression in manga form. Fascinating to look at for sure, but Christ what a ride.
What a fucking ending! I can't wait for 8 chapters of epilogue wank where Uraraka gets cucked by Backugo! What a shit tier ending after being shit for like 5 years.

It's shitty but Tanjiro, lightning guy and boar guy are all incredibly shit tier characters whenever they aren't in a life or death battle and the manga is trying to rely on it's "humor"

They... they miss the entire fucking point about Eiken's existence. It's drawn that way not because the guy was a novice artist (he sort of wasn't, that's just his style), but because the bishoujo style was popular in hentai at the time, and it was poking fun of it, hence the nine-year-old having inflatable chesticles.

It's talked about here at the 23-minute mark.

Spirit Circle
Spirit Circle
Thanks for the recommendation, I've read Spirit Circle over the weekend and it's great but the ending is kinda meh.

Essentially, throughout the story you have a pretty consistent divide between the two leads in ideology which seems to go somewhere, up until the final reveal that the final reincarnation is evil, wants to destroy the world and hijacks the protagonist's body. So at least in terms of the relationship between the two, nothing really mattered since the end result was the same and it's purely on the protagonist and his reincarnations to save the day. It doesn't help the heroine is rarely called out on her beliefs in the reincarnations, while the protagonist does even if he is 100% in the right.

Also the part about being happy with being an underachiever rubs me the wrong way.

I’m in the process of getting back to watching Air Gear, because I like the theme song.

Aside from reminding me of Jet Grind Radio if made into an anime, I was hoping what one thinks about the art of the mangaka, Oh! Great:

I have to say: the art looks pretty cool and I can’t even lie.

His art makes you say 'Oh!'

His writing makes you say 'Great....'

I am still upset about Tenjou Tenge
