Watched Spice and Wolf. Loved it. What the fuck was that ending? It just ends with the village behind them burning. Bro, I feel for those that waited for S3 and never got it

I was absent for a while, because of the kiwi ban in Europe (yeah, VPN is a thing but I just don't feel like I need it that much) and during this time I watched and read some stuff. Btw, there aren't any spoilers but I just put them, so it's just easier to read my shitty walls of text.

Not bad, not great, just 6.5/10. The only thing that makes this movie ''different'' from other Shinkai productions are chair guy (I watched it 3 months ago and I don't remember his name) and macguffin cat. This man could make the best anime movie but he chooses the safest and boring option wrapped in a golden paper. He tricked millions of people into thinking that story about two people who don't know each other but live each others lifes is somehow peak romance, because pretty graphics and I'm still mad. Soundtrack is good, the end credit song takes the cake but I still prefer music from Your Name (I like Suzume more as a movie btw).

I don't know if it's controversial but K-on >>. Nonethless, I don't regret my time spent on it. I like the main cast but Kikuri is truly the character of all time. Loved references and how animators were playing with looks of the anime. I thought at the begining that Ashita no Joe reference was a reference to 82th episode of LOGH.

I'm trying again after 5 years to get into danmei and I succeded. I watched different story made by the same author in 2018, MDZS, and It wasn't really my cup of tea. Mostly because of how fast paced it is and I felt like this story was missing something. After watching first season of TGCF I read 4 volumes of novel, read 50 chapters of manhwa and from these 3 media I like novel the most. You can use the argument that books take time with internal monologues and describing things but I didn't feel the same while watching anime based on light novels, which I read like Kara no Kyoukai, Fate/Zero or Re:Zero. IDK, maybe it's a Chinese thing. The core of this story is romance between two male leads but approach to this topic is different from most of the Japanese stories. Mostly because of the censorship and what can and can't be shown. Visuals are pretty (manhwa is just stunning with character designs) and soundtrack is just gorgeous. It captures this fairy tail like world and sets the tone perfectly. TGCF is not just a romance. You also get the entire cast of great side characters, the whole concept of 3 realms and how they operate, Xie Lian and his theme with what it means to be good person is just beautiful. Ngl kinda funny how a country with strict censorship and anti lgbt laws has a story with way better representation than shows like High Guardian Spice.

I already knew the ending as a manga reader but it's still a little bit underwhelming. I've been with this series since when? 2014 or 2015 but I didn't feel nearly as empty after this episode as in comparision to the ending of Gintama or fifth Jojo part. Bruh, even watching the final episode of Dragon Ball Super felt as a part of something bigger and I don't even like Dragon Ball Super. I know that CGI in Mappa is a controversial topic but this some scenes with titans were just eh. That's why my favourite scene from Final Season when it comes to visuals is this one with Marley soldier where you can see his skin burning and peeling off. I know that people have their own taste when it comes to graphics but I will never understand people who say unironically that SnK under Mappa looks better than Wit. The most stunning and memorable scenes and landscapes were made by Wit. It may sound kinda harsh but I feel that after this whole drama with CGI some people think that even slight criticism towards Mappa means that you don't want these animators to eat and see their families. I don't think that this ending was the worst thing ever made or the best thing ever made. It's just so polarizing and both of each extremes kinda make sense. On the other side, the more I think about this ending, the more I wish Isayama kept the his original vision. Anyway, SnK peaked at Return to Shiganshina and LOGH is better if you are searching for ''war is bad'' show.

Oh boy, my number 1 series of this year. It's my newest 10/10. The Animation, the characters, the drama, the comedy, the music are stunning and I know, I know that some people will see CGI and never give it a chance but by doing this they are missing one of the best anime movies that are out there and YES it's way better than any Shinkai movie and I will die on this hill. I was there, sitting in the cinema and I was stressed like I have never been on any other movie. My theory is that Inoue must be secretly a sadist, because seeing the last seconds of match is just one big torture but somehow in the best way possible. I'm not 12 and living in Japan isn't my dream anymore but watching this movie there in IMAX is probably outstanding experience. Especially if you don't know the ending just like me, because I kinda speed read this manga till the final arc. I read 10 to 15 chapters back in the January, then stopped and in August I heard that it's going to be in my country and I had like one week to read over 200 chapters and I loved every bit of it. You know how much I loved it????? I literally picked basketball as my sport in university and I'm not even that great.
If I had to name one single thing that I like the most in this series is Sakuragi. What can I say, my boy is just 10/10 protagonist, self proclaimed genius, rebound king. His development from being a deliquent who hates basketball and starts playing it just to impress a girl to a person who is completly devouted to basketball is just the greatest. It may sound stupid but I like how much of a failure Sakuragi can be. He doesn't become perfect player in 50 chapters or something, he makes a lot of mistakes, he's impatient, rude and sometimes during matches it feels like Rukawa is a main character, because he's just the best Shohoku player. Despite all of his highs and lows he never retreats and practices more than anyone. On the other hand his fails are of his better moments, especially during first chapters. I wrote earlier about the comedy and it's one of the funniest mangas I've ever read and Sakuragi is one of the funniest protagonists.
I also love other team members and how Inoue made the movie plot center around Miyagi and suddenly he turned this bratty deliquent into a character with the saddest backstory who made me cry 2 times :') Some people complained that he's the main character instead of Sakuragi but Sakuragi started playing basketball in highschool and Miyagi in primary school and we can see how his passion towards basketball develops and how he deals with loss. Mitsui is great and I'm sad that we didn't get more moments with him, Sakuragi and Miyagi as a trio.
Gee, I need to watch something bad. Describing and ranting on bad things is funnier

Good, Spice and Wolf was such a nice vibe. It tried to be period appropriate too. Such a shame we'll never get to see more northern European medieval fantasy economics...
It was a nice vibe. I know they're making a reboot or something in 2024, so there's that.

The romance honestly was the most interesting part. It... felt real. None of the usual "hey look, boobs" anime tropes, or being overly lovey dovey, they start as strangers, become friends, get in fights, slip in a few blink or you miss it sex jokes, and by the end, they're a couple, and it doesn't feel like bullshit

Oh my god the new Hero Academia chapter

Quirks are an STD spread by rats, originating in AFO's hobo whore mother, and also he's older than the glowing baby

Let me repeat
Quirks are an STD spread by rats

We're going into Attack on Titan levels of shitting the bed at the end

Have you been reading this manga? It has been incredibly retarded for more than 100 chapters!

There's already been idiotic fakeout deaths, inconsistent injuries (Bakugo can somehow move around just fine despite most of his body being destroyed with some half assed surgery while Ochako nearly died from a kitchen knife), constant MCU quips during serious moments, poor attempts at social commentary on classism/racism, and several character assassinations (i.e. AFO becoming a retarded Aizen-wannabe, Deku being reduced to someone who just makes reaction faces, and All Might becoming a selfish idiot so he can have a quirk mech)

I checked the spoilers to see if this is just shitposting, & holy fuck it's even worse.
> OFA & AFO are literally whore-spawns who are born in an arm tumor.

> Yoshi (OFA) looks like Lil' Cheetus.

> Nezu's ancestors (yes, actual rats) eat the whore mother & spread Black Plague STDs all over the world.

> AFO manipulated the rats into eating the corpse, becoming basically a quirked up version of fucking Pickle Rick.

> AFO kills a lot as a kid, suckles hard on the tits of his dead mother's bloated corpse, & is essentially the Antichrist. Also, the Spearlike Bones are apparently his mother's quirk.

> Timeskip to 3 years later, there was a glowing child in China (yeah, like that loser nerd from Sky High, I call him "The GlowChigger") which was known as the first quirk-spawn. This was apparently untrue cause 50 people in India were the first to be born with quirks, all this happened around an year after the birth of OFA & AFO.

> AFO kills The GlowChigger & also the 50 Indians.

> The origins of the names "One For All" & "All For One" are from manga. So yeah, a popular Japanese football slogan ripped off one sentence in part 1 of The Three Musketeers, makes it to some third rate comic book & causes apocalypse to Japan by one crazy otaku.

> The entire power system is basically who has the best version of Super STDs.

> All Might, the symbol of peace, basically pozzed Deku, & basically gave him AIDS, & now Deku has 7 other STDs in him too.

> Endeavor's eugenics shenanigans were him trying to breed a baby with a more advanced form of an STD, & Rei being an inbred actually worked to his advantage because she has less resistance to diseases.

> Nezu is technically the pure-blooded Aryan male of Quirk World.

> Overhaul was actually right & was trying to cure quirks before animals mutate similar to Nezu with quirks & take over the world. Making him humanity's savior & not a villain. He was trying to stop the furfaggotry before it began.

Horikoshi let his intrusive thoughts win this week & we got the "based retard" of a chapter. It's like Hori read the "X-MEN Mutants were actually made out of a mistake" from (I think?) Ultimatum, & mashed it with the Pool's Closed shitpost about the pool having Stingrays with AIDS. That, or he wanted to make his own Tokyo Ghoul ending. (For the uninitiated, Ghouls were a virus, a virus that a bunch of Illuminati fucks wanted to contract, who were in service to a family of inbred ghouls. This led to the entire plot.).

TL;DR: Vigilantes is the only MHA related thing that exists.

I am amused by the fact that there are two short vr games on PlayStation where you play as the family man

My hero spoilers are actually making me want to read it now. This is even better then the aliens in Naruto :story:

I'm disappointed that MHA has gone downhill so bad, I used to like the show but now I don't think I could watch it.

I've been enjoying The Saint's Power is Omnipotent, it has a very pure hearted MC that's hard not to like.
I practically never recommended going past S4 to anyone when it comes to anime. Now I basically tell people to only read the manga & stop after the Mansion Arc, mainly because MVA Arc was good.

Also, nice to see another SaintCHAD in here.

Seriously tho, the Shoujo Isekai is really comfy to watch.

Tfw when you make Midichlorians appear as competent writing

NGL, this makes me want to start reading again since it's actually an interesting and non-standard explanation. This is shonen so I was half expecting the origin of quirks was going to have something to do with demons but this sounds like something out of a seinen manga made by an actual creative person. Can anyone tell me if the hero character gets less boring or the villain characters get more screen time? I legit stopped reading after My Villain Academia because going back to the hero characters after really liking the previous arc made me realize how I really don't give a fuck about a single one of them besides Kirishima and Mirio.

Moreover, there wasn't melodrama. There was realistic drama, like Lawrence knowing about Holo's homeland being destroyed, and not telling her to spare her feelings - but that choice to ultimately keep her in the dark caused a huge argument between them when she finally learned the truth.

I have never, nor will ever, get into MHA. I initially thought the premise for the show was great, but the crybaby bitch protag ruined it for me every time. I swear this kid was crying in every single episode I watched... Christ, there is nothing wrong with showing emotions, BUT - in the wise words of Black Lagoon's sexiest character,

"Boys should not cry so easily".

I know! When they fought, both sides had reasons for it! And it wasn't over stupid shit. It was over the very real chance that they're journey would end at the middle of no where, Holo's old home turned into a graveyard. The emotions were there, both their actors giving it their all, it was legitimately better than what a anime focused on economics deserved.

Also Lawrence is great. Hes a nice guy that also happens to be greedy, and through the entire series it keeps biting him in the ass until the end where he finally chooses to be with Holo over anything else. Absolute master craft in character writing

Well most of the characters pretty much suck now. My Villain Academia is the last great arc of the series. The only characters that are still good now are the Todoroki Family, Gentle, Aizawa, Ochako, Toga, and Dabi. Any previously likeable characters either died or got character assassinated.

Shigaraki has a chance but he’s been sidelined for AFO who became an actual retard that Horikoshi wants us to think is super smart.

Tl;dr It’s not worth it.

Deku sort of got better later on, but then went to become a character who is just generic hero man and makes reaction faces.

Random post here.

You know, although the show this dude was referencing is indeed mediocre, I'm not entirely sure that this is a good reason to dismiss all anime as "gross"

Thoughts?
There's some truth to what he's saying, but the nuance is that anime is "based" and "traditionalist" only in comparison to the vast majority of modern western stuff (and even then it varies by anime), but at least such anime do exist.

There's nothing coming out of Hollywood that isn't carefully crafted to be as woke as possible as part of liberal's social engineering efforts. So he's a retard.

Was reading through the Angel Cop manga adaption - a short read from Kitazaki Taku, who usually did romcom stuff before this, it has a different flavor from the OVAs, and has the titular Angel be the one who gets cyborged after running into some superpowered criminals.
