I want to get a 3DS just for this.

But that costs money and I'm spending my shekels on PC hardware instead.

Gotta get my fix on GC instead, I guess.

Just buy one on Craigslist. The first one I got was only 100 dollars and had never been used.

Wild World was my first AC game and it's still my favorite one. I have 2 copies of Wild World, 2 copies of New Leaf, and Happy Home Designer. I also have all 456 (series 1-4, Welcome Amiibo, and Sanrio) amiibo cards. LOL

I wish I had all the amiibo cards. They're impossible to find in stores here so the only place to buy them is on ebay and some of the prices can be a little much depending on how popular the villager is, especially the Welcome Amiibo cards because of the extra furniture.

I did manage to get the Hello Kitty cards on the Nintendo website on release day for like £4.99 though, which is kinda cool since scalpers are selling them on ebay to Americans for ridiculously high prices now.

So Animal Crossing for the Nintendo Switch was announced 3 months ago

I just want the game now honestly since I’ve been waiting so long
But I’m not sure what this thread thinks of Animal Crossing?

The GCN Animal Crossing is my favorite. Just the aesthetics and atmosphere, the way the villagers are all cunts. It's charming. Playing the game reminds me of when I was a kid and I'd spend summer afternoons in the game trying to catch all the fish.

My favorite villager is Lily.

I'm dying for any news on AC Switch, I know we need to be patient and blah blah blah, but it's been months and we haven't heard anything. I didn't like Pocket Camp, and I've exhausted everything in New Leaf. I figured after the Smash Ultimate hype train died down we'd get something. (:_(
They're probably waiting for E3 to drop anything. I'm really looking forward for it too, though.

I was so obsessed with Animal Crossing when it came out. At the embarrassing age of 16.

But back then I was clamoring for a way to play Old NES games and got Animal Crossing.

I still play the original. Especially glad I now have every NES games including the "Forbidden" titles thanks to advances in technology.

i played the first one to death along with my mother in my childhood; we went through 2 discs of it because the first one got so worn out.

jumping straight from the first to new leaf put me off so much though, gosh. i cant handle most of what i have to do now because its so foreign to me. however, i love the new style.
my favorite villager is bob!

I have 800 hours on New Leaf.

I'm going to buy a Switch only for Animal Crossing (and Mario maker 2, but that was a recent surprise), no regrets. One of the few things I still enjoy from Nintendo, a company that sadly became a black hole of autism.

I really hope they announce the release date in the next Nintendo Direct. (:_(

Honestly at this point I would take anything at all. I know that AC games aren't overly complicated, so I don't know how much they can really show without it being like, "That's it, that's the whole game!" I didn't really follow New Leaf news, but does anyone know if there were any other big reveals besides, "You're the mayor and you can customize the town"?

I hope that the game is a lot more open, I've played an ungodly amount of AC, from the Gamecube version all the way to NL. I'm pretty sure I've logged over 1,000 hours into New Leaf, but it can get boring doing typical AC stuff since all of the games are so similar. I'd appreciate more than just, "Move in, pay off house, decorate, make friends" goals.

Man I love animal crossing, and Ill get the switch just for that game alone (plus pokemon).

But i was reading about how new leaf was almost perfect, and how people arent sure what else should be added to the game?

For me, I would love more personalities for the villagers as well as new species. I would also love a bigger shopping center , with lots of different stores to visit.

What would you guys like to add to the game?

This may be super autistic, but I would love to be more than just a generic human. When I first heard about AC as a kid, I thought Animal Crossing meant you could be an animal for some reason. In games I love being anything other than a human if I can help it, I guess it just feels like more of an escape from reality that way.

More customization too! I loved customizing the town in New Leaf, but sometimes it felt rigid or fixed. I want to be able to fuss with villager's homes, maybe change the exterior style at least. Same for the town hall, museum etc. I agree that a larger shopping center would be fun, too!

More holidays would be great, or at least them expanding on the old holidays would be nice.

Have you tried Happy Home Designer? There's no town hall or museum to edit, but it does have a school, hospital, office building, small restaurant, big restaurant, two small shops, a big store, a hotel, and a music hall that can be customized inside and out. And you can create all the villager homes (yards included) your heart desires. I've found it to be a lot of fun.
