What is it with these guys and crossovers, even? Where is the appeal? Just autism?
Mostly, especially if they're crossovers with just as stupid premises. I remember I tried that once (The villain was going to be Phantom Blot, just to powerlevel a bit). And gave up well before I got any further.

The other possibility is that these people see real producers/animators/franchises do this sort of thing (i.e Transformers with GI Joe/Spider-Man/Evangelion/Fucking DISNEY) and think to themselves "That sounds like a good idea, I should do that as well."

But there's a difference between crossovers of things that are similar and crossing over shit that doesn't go well together.

I used to be part of that autistic part of the Internet in my childhood. Basically, it's mostly self-indulgence. It's something along the lines of "Well Optimus Prime and Sonic are fucking cool so if they ever met they would be best friends and they would beat up Megatron and everyone would be happy all the time!" People who write crossover fanfiction usually sacrifice things like nuance, logic, or substance in lieu of fulfilling their childish fantasies.

He also tried to start a thread about some random DA user
He made a thread? I need to see this.

"long ago, there's Deviantart drama that involving my friend where she can't tolerates any opinions that differs from her own"

Alright, this seems like a standard failed thread by a new user so far.

"likely because she hates things like Sly Cooper, Digimon, Gravity Falls(formerly), DBZ, Gangnam Style, and even Power Rangers for dumb reasons. not to mention she prefers 2013 Teen Titans Go! over 2003-2006 Teen Titans TV show"

A real believer in the "do as I say, not as I do" policy, I see.

"and she still pushes Ghost Lifty(ghost version of Happy Tree Friends character named Lifty) as her own so in short, she's basically female Chris Chan where Ghost Lifty are her equivalent of Sonichu"

I'm lost. This man is unintelligible. I shudder to think of how this grammar translates into a webcomic.

Not just a web comic, fanfiction. Also, people like him are the reason why I don't make threads about lolcows.

Oh god, look at all that filth :surprised:
Did this person commissioned OPL to do the drawing on the cards? Look at those, that's Sonichu level shit

I used to write these stories when I was 9 or 10 and post them on AOL about a pig who knew Kung Fu named Pork Chop Suey. I would always include characters from random franchises and make them fight, though the recurring characters were all original. I remember people thinking the stories were really weird because it didn't feature OCs in a distinct universe or use fanfiction characters alone. Fan fiction writers plateau at an early point, and I always get the impression of a overall lower level of reading comprehension among them. Even the best Harry Potter fanfics, are still just that.

One thing that always baffle me is how fanfic writers get their dick wrapped around fanfic so hard they can't pull out and write good original fiction. Even if they manage to get something out it's all just so derivative and uninspired dreck. This Ani-Toonspiracy fellow clearly has an expansive imagination and a large surplus of time but his grasp of English implies he either has schizophrenia or some weird speech disorder.
