People weren't kidding about how hard it is just to get a straight answer from these guys. I like how Mike fired Lupa just because you know he was butthurt about their conversation.

How many people have they lost recently? I know there's others who haven't technically left but are trying to distance themselves so they don't have to be under CA's control like this.

Lindsay left because she's a grown up now. They fired Lupa and Phelous left in solidarity. Oancitizen left too but no-one gives a shit about that simpering arsewipe. Angry Joe is pissed and more than likely will leave and they're desperately trying to keep ahold of Brad.

Honestly, I'd be surprised if Linkara left more than Brad. After all, the latter's been established well before the idea of TGWTG was even thought up.

Either him, or Doug growing a pair and finally going "Enough of this shit, I want out." That's what really would surprise me.

Well yeah, Linkara is a brown noser, he'll continue fiddling on the deck as long as The Walkers and Michaud tell him to. Brad knows he could make it on his own, and doesn't give a shit. The three stooges know he knows this and that he brings crowds in, so they want to keep him on TGWTG.

There's a popular rumour that Red Letter Media keep courting Brad and trying to get him to jump ship. The amount of stuff TGWTG lets Brad get away with that they wouldn't to the other producers (the Patreon debacle for one example) makes me think there may actually be a base to it.

Sorry to double post, but we got a bit more on Mike Michaud.

During that whole SOPA malarkey, Michaud and the Walkers organised a trip to Congress to protest against it. Oancitizen lives in DC as does his artist Ven (who actually seems like a pretty cool person) so they tagged along. Basically, Michaud kicked Ven out of Congress.

The only thing that I remember about Channel Awesome is that the one time I went to the "ThatGuyWithTheGlasses" website a few years back. I remember how appalling the layout was and I couldn't find the video that I had heard was good, so I left and never came back. Good to see that I wasn't missing anything.

Hopefully when CA finally goes down Michaud goes crazy and becomes a Lolcow. I could see it happening. Hell some of the users there are a flip out video away from becoming a cow

Which ones?

Which ones?
The biggest one I think of right now is Linkara because of his whole "GIVE ME MONEY" shit, his faux feminist bullshit, his old self insert stories, his self insert storylines in his shows and I've heard he acts like a creeper to girls at cons

This fall is a rather painful one - and like any, embarrassing, too. I guess that's what happens when you can't go up anymore - or when you just stop remembering what people like to watch you for. Man, I'd be scared as hell if put through all of this at first, myself... Like I said, escape / backup plans are paramount to these people's unpredictable futures... Sooner or later, someone in control is going to get sick / tired of their products getting dissed by those who can barely make their own.

Not that i care awfully about Angry Joe (unless it is something that really interests me, like his Civilization review) but i have to admit that i enjoy this CA drama more and more afer reading about how it is managed from the top... Exactly what is Joe pissed about? I mean, sure, you can tell since it is in his "stage name" but is there some certain reason why?

Brad is probably the second most popular thing on that site, if he leaves, shit will go down. Good to hear he knows how to benefit from it!

Anyone else here watch Renegade Cut? I'm going to admit, this is what I'm like when I over-think movies. My favorite episode is the Willy Wonka one.

Also like Mike J for his low-key style.

I like Mike J, honestly. I like everyone who seems to have some fun with what they're doing and don't try too hard. I like Film Brain at times and I really love listening to Nash and Tara's WTFIWWY. Rap Critic's entertaining too but most of the smaller stars of the site don't release anything a lot so I forget to check up on them.

I couldn't watch Nostalgia Chick from the start. I could tell she was very full of herself and is a very arrogant person after she and Todd used JewWario's death to guilt anyone who was for GamerGate. That's beyond sickening.

I like Renegade Cut too, even though a lot of the time I find myself disagreeing with a lot of his points and even think he's over analysing things sometimes. I know its about analysis but sometimes you can look too deep. You can eat the food and get every scrap, but don't eat the plate.

Rap Critic I like too but his output is a bit slow. That's my only real complaint. Same goes for Todd in the Shadows, except his feminism stuff. I sort of get the feeling he's on Nostalgia Chick's leash and can't say anything bad about her brand of feminism.

I get that feeling too. Some of her stuff feels really condensing, even though I'm not the one being talked down too. Like I get hit by the condescending rays coming off her videos.

My favorite Renegade Cut was the one on the Nightmare on Elm Street films. (Normally I'm not a fan of the series.)

I also enjoy Mike J for his dry humor as well (his Santa Buddies one is a favorite of mine). Speaking of angry reviewers, there was Blockbuster Buster's review on The Man of Steel that showed an interesting side to him. One that was disgusted in a sad, low key way with the film.

This was always my feelings on her. I liked her very first few videos, but after that she got very snotty. wasn't a fan of her putting incredibly loud music in her videos that drowned out her speech, either. The white knighting for Anita Sarkeesian (no, really, she accused anyone that criticized Anita of committing libel) and the JewWario incident did not help things at all.

I can see Brad doing a video or two with the RLM guys. I can't see RLM trying to court Brad, for the fact that RLM is just their crew making shit. They don't have any regular outside producers.

I always get this off-feeling from her videos that turn me away, but it is hard to put it into words. That is the closest on how to describe my feelings on her videos. Or maybe it is as simple as they were just never my cup of tea.

I feel bad for Doug Walker going through the collapse of Channel Awesome, but then again it's his own fault for getting into things he shouldn't.
I think the problem from what I'm hearing is that Doug Walker did not do enough to take charge and initiative. He just went along down towards the waterfall without trying to change course.

A phrase which I've heard a lot regarding TGWTG and other failing reviewers is "It's not 2008 anymore". I've been wondering, how exactly was everything different in 2008? Was reviewing just less oversaturated or has there actually been a real change in culture? Or is everyone just tired of them doing the same shit for years?
