I'd never heard of this Strider guy until I started looking at this thread. Took the plunge and tried watching one of his videos.

Is he....is he legit exceptional? I'm beside myself wanting to laugh at how autistic he is, then wondering if I should be laughing at what seems to be an actual re.tard.
The way he speaks makes him come off as such. But I don't know how much of that's the autism, or how much of that is the Australian.

Check this out:

Alex better be in the right here. Honestly, I can't stand for another entertaining reviewer to go down a dark path like ProJared did.

EDIT: So, I've done some sleuthing and the other party is Bobdunga.

I'm not sure who's right here (especially since Dunga never showed any evidence that Alex blamed her "for his inability to create" or his sexual harassment).

I'm actually surprised he has the mental capacity to upload videos, but you could say that about a lot of lolcows here

I haven't legit seen an AniMat video in a long time (I stopped watching his videos between 2015-16, maybe a bit later as memories served), and just watching five minutes of this I clicked off.

Animat is super spergy with this "muh animation is a serious genre" nonsense (but tbh every sperg into cartoons is like that), but his SJW rants really get obnoxious. The last thing I heard from him is that people who don't like the Disney live action remakes are apparently bigots and anti-progress? WTF does that even mean...

Is there anyone brave enough to give the TL;DW
Here: He thinks Illumination is good when it's not. All the criticism against them are completely valid and he's in the wrong. Also a hypocrite since he bashes Sony for being "too cartoony" while praising Illumination for being too over-animated and glossy while also looking cheap as shit and corner cutting wherever they can.

>bashes Sony Animation for having "cartoony expressions" thus going as far as to harass the company outright wishing them to shutdown.
>praises Blue Sky and Illumination for literally the exact same reasons.

I can't believe what I'm about to say, but say what you want about Mr. Enter; but compare his past reviews to today's and surprisingly, his reviews have improved in comparison to AniMat's reviews. It's been a long time since I've seen Mr. Enter's videos, but I've took a look at his review of the Norm of the North 2 review and I compared it to one of his older reviews and it seems like a day and night comparison. Yeah, he nitpicks; but instead of whining, screaming, and complaining for an hour or two; he makes a few cheesy 5-second one-liners among other things; plus the editing has gotten a lot better (which is from a help from a fellow YouTube Poop editor).

But with AniMat, nothing has change and he's gotten worse overtime. Also, AniMat's fanbase are even worse. The comment section of the linked Illumination-defense video is just autism-inducing.

I can give Blue Sky credit because the animators there know about how weight and timing works while Illumination doesn't.

Still doesn't make Animat any less of a hypocrite.

Yet another unfunny geek reviews bad movies and makes terrible jokes.

Cinematic Excrement, there’s a name I haven’t heard in a long time. I used to watch him when I was still into the whole online critic thing, but even back then he came across like a TGWTG wannabe. Didn’t know he was still around.

Strider is back, and apparently, he thinks Fritz the Cat is "terrible" and "Made by stoners".

Why "animation experts" are always such babies and don't leave their Steven Universe comfort bubble? Fritz the Cat will end up being remembered more than the shitty progressive cartoons they sperg over.

EDIT: Gotta love this Euphoric rant in Sausage Party. Religion is oppressive and people need to get away from that "toxic" culture...Yet a few minutes later he claims Adam Sandler made a disservice to Hanukkah. Just say "Christianity sucks" and go, Strider.

I haven't seen Fritz the Cat myself, but from what I know of it, the movie's social commentary and themes of racial discrimination seem too deep cutting to be made by people who were on drugs. And even if they were, given Ralph Bakshi's body of work, Fritz the Cat fits pretty neatly with his other political movies such as Coonskin.

Everything I've seen from that movie is heavily defined from its era, especially its politics, so to dismiss it as something by stoners is insulting.

I wish the tards who make animation videos knew a single fucking goddamned thing about animation or the history of animation or did any fucking research at all.

Oh fuckin' joy.

>calls Fritz the Cat a film made by stoners
>doesn't realize that it was made during a different time

Did Strider watch the same exact movie or was he just skimming through a random article on some rumor without doing actual research on the said movie or something? Plus, going by the film itself; this isn't just about ecstasy if anything, it's more about the social and political commentary; as mentioned a couple posts ago; of what was going on during that time; particularly in some other Bakshi films (American Pop, Coonskin, and Heavy Traffic).

Also, I'm not saying Sausage Party was a good movie (in fact, I thought it was just another forgettable Seth Rogen flick), but for christ's sake, this austist's rant towards that movie reminds me of AniMat's shitty rant.
