The NC is still a guilty pleasure for me, but I'm not hitting F5 waiting for his next review. I think people like the NC and the Nerd are at their best when they are not in angry mode and giving their honest, thoughtful reflections. The anger can be funny, but it needs to be used more sparingly as an addition to the review and part of the humor as opposed to the main theme. Sort of like a spice. A little bit can add a pleasant flavor to the mix but too much is overpowering and it becomes a substitute for substance. What is lost on people is that it is not the rage itself that is humorous. What makes humor funny is when people can relate to the frustration on a empathetic level. Making angry noises is not funny, neither is throwing in random cusswords and crude analogies.

Comedy is an art not a science, you can dissect the fundamentals and elements of what worked for other people, but if you can't make that special, empathetic connection to your viewers your work means very little. Everyone has their own unique style and when you are not true to yourself people will take notice.

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel about Blockbuster Buster and Mr. Enter, to name two examples of spergs who need to shut up and disappear already, now that I think about it.

That's from a short segment on a mother of a severely autistic adult child. He just happens to look like JonTron.

Y'all done fooled me good - at least this thread knows how to make me laugh a little. Can't say the same elsewhere right now.

I thought these rage critics were making fun of overly pedantic nerds/critics with their exaggerated fits of rage.Maybe I was thinking too hard?

The original first few AVGN episodes were, then he realised he could milk it for easy cash and turned it into a character rather than a mockery of nerds that he made for fun. These other rage critics are either AVGN clones or the people AVGN set out to make fun of.

Did anyone see the AVGN movie btw? I've heard mixed opinions on it.

The whole thing is just one giant ego-stroke for James Rolfe. The entire first half-hour revolves around establishing this alternate version of Earth where everyone is desperately in love with the Nerd, and the rest is just random B-movie cliches and stale jokes because that's what James happens to enjoy in films that he's seen. Almost like Chris throwing everything he enjoys into Sonichu, but with a huge budget and an adoring fanbase.

I started watching the movie when it was released online. Right away I could tell James and crew put a lot of effort in the production of the AVGN movie. However, the same couldn't be said about the plot and acting. The new characters should have been introduced before reveling them in the movie. Because it doesn't make sense to have Mike only in one scene, then have Cooper take Mike's place as AVGN's sidekick.

The acting was very bad, but you should expect that from a movie based on a popular YouTube series. Both Fred and Grumpy cat movies are/should be worse.

Normally I don't mind movies if there is vulgar content like cursing, gore, etc. But I disliked the opening when they had chicken logo designed as a male's privet parts-"Cockburn". It just felt cheap to me to see that in the opening of the movie. Like here's AVGN's like awaited movie and he's already resorted to cursing and obscene content to be "entertaining." It's just not funny to me.

This is just my opinion on the movie. I couldn't stand watching 15 minutes of the movie. But that doesn't mean you can't check it out for yourself. Who knows, maybe you'll like it a lot or just dislike it for whatever reason.

You haven't heard that Lifetime is airing a Grumpy Cat Christmas movie later this month. Sadly WWE RAW was hosted by Grumpy Cat; yes, the Grumpy Cat, and she even fell asleep during the show. I'm sorry for posting this video, just don't go blind. https://youtube.com/watch?v=PrSPuBYm-Cw

I can't bring myself to watch that video.

But really? I didn't think Grumpy Cat was one cat, I thought it was like a certain breed of cat or just a Photoshopped image of a cat or something. Jesus.

No, she's a real cat. I have to give credit that the studio who made model puppets of Grumpy cat did a really great job in the designs.

I hope that movie at least has the 1950s, sci-fi, b-movie level of cheese in it to make it so bad its good.
