I always find it amusing when Enter goes on about Mean Spiritedness considering in his early episodes he had no problems about shaming the writers of the episode he was critiquing personally and in one memorable instance showed (and mocked) Casey Alexander's Twitter feed, all for the crime of Casey writing an episode that Enter didn't like. If that isn't mean spirited I don't know what it is.

Mean-spirited... I hate that term. If one has to use it to describe something they don't like, they are clearly a pussy-ass bitch. FACT.

So, to change the subject, for people who were originally into Doug Walker's stuff, what was the video that broke the illusion for you, and saw him for the hack that he is?
The first step for me was his Timothy Green video. My brother and I were so excited that Doug was back, but that feeling quickly disappeared once the video went on. We just wanted to hear him talk about the movie instead of making lame skits about adoption agencies and murdering cats.
The final straw was that Mythbusters “parody” in his review of Sharknado, but the less said about that, the better.

Does anyone want to try and explain Doug's inexplicable hateboner towards Mythbusters without saying ":autism:"?

I think it's because he's jealous that when they do a sketch (Like the James Bond specials) people actually enjoy them. I also think he's jealous that people like Adam playing characters whereas they have no patience with him playing them. Those are the two reasons I think he hates Mythbusters.

Pretty accurate - besides the fact that Doug sucks at these things mentioned, as well as being a believable critic worth truly listening to (overall, IMHO.).

Is Doug just jealous of everybody who's more successful than him? That's why he hates actors like Malkovich, Dafoe, etc, cause they made it big and he's stinkin' away in Chicago?

That has to be it - NC is becoming more and more clear to me that it is Doug's stewing jealousy that he's not nor will ever be as truly noteworthy as those awesome actors (and that's despite their track records not being perfect - nobody is, after all, Doug, ya prick!).

To be fair, Doug currently appears to be backing up Don Bluth's project for a potential Dragon's Lair film. As much as I've grown tired of the whole skit stuff, at least he's drawing attention to other, more talented artists.

I wonder how Doug would react if I said that Disney's The Great Mouse Detective holds up better than Bluth's An American Tail.

I can understand if you're doing some "Top X Worst Y" videos for fun, but for fuck's sake if you make them excessively it's nothing more than just the same rehash over and over just for views in the laziest way possible and it takes not much effort: Just see other YouTube channels about their rants on cartoons, pack them all up and regurgitate in one video, and that's it.

tl;dr to PhantomStrider:

Even back in the day I was never truly a NC fan, but I did watch his stuff on and off when that awful Simpsons lets play was posted.

Decided to give him a second chance with his very next video, which started off with his douchey passive-aggressive rant (it was so not an apology) wherein he pretty much implied his fans were ungrateful for not lapping up every single piece of shit he puts out.

Hated him since then.

I can't list a specific video per se, but I was only able to see so many skits before I tuned out permanently.

Anyways, look at this quick run through of Disney animated features.
Funny enough, he considers a significant chunk of their output, most of which of are undeniable classics of cinema, to either be OK or just plain bad.

Also, fuck you JelloApocalypse. The Wind in the Willows adaptation, truncated as it was, is still one of Disney's best.

Anyone that gives Frozen anything higher than a 3/10 has no right to be a critic.
