The only youtube personality I like is crit1kal.
He doesn't review games...nor is he angry. But someone mentioned him here earlier and I want to put it out there that I like him too. He gives all proceeds he makes to charity. I just think he's funny to listen to, mostly it's his monotone voice that makes him playing games funny for me.

I remember I used to watch Nostalgia Critic, and I thought he was ok and a good time waster. Then I got a little older and realized how...sort of cringe worth his videos are. Especially how he likes to scream and rip out a gun. A really common thing these angry reviewers do is have some big dramatic plot about ow the game/movie/whatever is so bad it's destroying the fabric or the universe, and must be destroyed. That got old the instant TGWTG did it. I think you know what I mean.

I actually used to be big into the Nostalgia Critic too but over time I also thought his videos became a little cringe worthy. Outside of that I also thought the character was getting a tad stale. When he retired the character I thought it was a good idea but he lost a lot of my respect when it brought out that awful show "The Demo Reel" then revived NC from the dead. Demo Reel was so bad it was never going to make money so he had to bring NC out of retirement.

When it comes to "Angry" reviewers I dislike, it would hands down have to be the Irate Gamer and for many reasons. The obvious first one being how many idea's he stole from AVGN, how he masqueraded as his mother on youtube to hurl abuse at unfavourable comments, and his creepy obsession with a kids toy (Skylanders), etc.

Even the reviewers who do get a lot of publicity and popularity are usually one step away from becoming lolcows, like Spoony. Linkara also has a pretty lengthy ED article.

I remember that time NC did a video game review and it was so bad he had to make a public apology.
That would be his Bart's Nightmare let's play. Alan Pardew pretty much says it here:

Nostalgia Critic doing a shitty LP. In my opinion, he's not so bad at doing reviews at video games such as Bebe Kids and Blues Brothers for the SNES, but this LP makes DSP look like a proper Let's Player considering that DSP doesn't complain every five fucking seconds.

I'm also one of those guys who enjoy the videos of the original Angry Video Game Nerd. There's just something so soothing about his voice, his flowery pronounciation of the english language, his insane knowledge about games in general and his very well thought and edited videos.

..We're talking about the same nerd, right..?

My favorite part is when you hear the mouse clicking in the background... I think it is about everywhere between 0:00 and 9:45.

With his review of the Purge, Doug Walker had an unfunny running gag that was made worthwhile at the end, which molested my childhood.

As an aside, was the Purge even meant to be an un-ironic, totally serious statement movie? Because I didn't get that vibe from it when I saw it...I thought it was supposed to be schlocky.

Either way, I kinda want to watch it now...or just stick Clockwork Orange in my DVD. Let's go with that!

I'm a nut for voice actors and Maurice fucking Lamarche and Rob fucking Paulsen made my night.

The review of the purge was kind of smug, but some parts of it had me laughing (anything that involved that psycho kid, Henry, was hilarious)

I honestly don't mind the sketches in the new reviews as long as they are, you know, funny, and not like, oh shit, I'm paying these two people so I guess we have to squeeze them in somewhere.

The only critics I watch recently are AVGN, Spoony sometimes, and the Cinema Snob. I used to watched NC until I started not caring for him. While a few recent videos last year were kind of good, there were a bunch of other ones I didn't care for. My favorite has to be the Cinema Snob as he has a lot of variety on his content. Aside than the Snob, you have the Midnight Screenings, 80's Dan, Brad Tries, and his own movies. Another critic I watched recently was Bennett the Sage. I saw his Evangelion videos and I didn't care much for them. The thing that stood out was when he ignored the entire second half of End of Evangelion ending the review into a segment he created. I might have to watch more of his videos to see if my thoughts change.

Don't forget DVR-Hell ("Say No to Strangers" is my favorite), but Brad is one of my favorites. Bennett is ok, but I did enjoy his Twilight of the Cockroaches review for The Critic parody he did with it.

I worry about Brad during the "Brad Tries" episodes. One of these days he's going to wake up and find a "Dear John" letter from his stomach on the nightstand.

That slipped my mind, thanks. DVR-Hell is also pretty cool. The ending on his Rock: It's your Decision video is awesome.

Forgot about this sperg: Hardcore Kid, one of A-Log's ex-friends. He's a movie reviewer who does it for half a decade now and if he's not posting reviews, he uploads tons of videos about Robot Wars or videos about the Top 10 YouTube users he hates. Hardcore Kid even once put A-Log as a guest in his "Top 15 Smegged Up YouTube Failures" video but removed him from the redone version (which imo is far worse than the original) after he found out about A-Log's Internet crusades and commentaries of his videos by ElyRiffs (MSkull01), ZMAnonymous and even Asalieri.

Enjoy his 4th anniversary review of Teen Titans: Trouble In Tokyo. Be prepared for sperging about shit nobody cares (Teen Titans shippings, Teen Titans Go),unfunny tryhard jokes, unfunny R34 jokes and Robot Wars references.
