One of the more weird influences James Rolfe had on me was I only tried Rolling Rock the first time because that was his drink. I'm not much of a beer guy (more a liquor guy), and the first time I didn't care for it too much, but now it's one of my three go-to beers. Sure, I've tried some movies he's recommended but beer seems a little out there.

I actually think the worst part of that whole thing was Malcolm's delivery of that first line. Yeah the song as a whole is shit, but it's like that first line just tells you how awful the whole thing is gonna be.

Just to add; this is the first time I ever saw Melvin: Brother of the Joker and I can't believe how awful that was. Couldn't make it past the first 40 seconds. No wonder Doug doesn't like talking about it.

BTW, whatever happened to that Suicide Squad review Doug promised to do? I was so looking forward to his Joker impersonation...

I've heard Violence Jack is actually pretty good.
 
This was just recommended to me, but i'm not seeing it. i'm afraid the tism might be fatal.


EDIT: I just realized with this review coming out so late Doug is pretty much the "Arrives 15 minutes late with Starbucks" meme come to life.

AND MORE SKITS!? JFC the movie is out on dvd already, there's no excuse for this shit...

Violence Jack was the same anime Bennett the Sage promised to review but chickened out of showing it, basically making a video on why he didn't want review it because of its violence. Especially galling considering he claimed it was a super-rare "uncut" version that he owned.

That was pretty much the point I stopped watching him.

The violence isn't that bad until you get to the 2nd OVA where children are murdered and there's an evil shemale. But it's so incredibly OTT that I thought it was funny as hell.

Unless you're someone like Strider or Bennett the Sage, yeah, actually.

Also it does not surprise me that they'd have to pick out either some of the most obvious choices (Eiken? Mars of Destruction? really?) or just things that clearly offend them and them alone.

I was going to assume it's copyright, but when other reviewers can get away with it, I'm going to assume it's just Doug being Doug and hoping everyone will like it.

Also there's no Doug Joker (thank god), but we got another Heath Ledger impression combined with 1966 Joker's looks.

What fuckery even was this??? As a result of slogging through barely half of it, all I see is one more lolcow - alongside ERod, who is still worse, BTW. His volume control and video editing is atrocious for something from 2013. Also, his criticism sucks ass, as if the side character he created is any indication. This just makes me feel bad for anyone who likes this otherwise bland and unremarkable film (IMHO, of course) that ERod is talking BS about, only to make me want to watch, and hopefully change my overall negative opinion on...

Both these guys are failures, especially the one who made this vid in the first place, but especially ERod.

And not just any video; the whole thing was a pretentious slog that took what should have taken five minutes or less to explain why he pussied out and stretched it to around 33 minutes.
