Part of me really wants to make a video parodying them. I'll wear a fedora and complain about "Citizen Kane," and make over-the-top faces, and towards the end, I'll add in a voice-over of my grandma asking me to take out the trash.
Speaking of Brad Jones and character, there's just the fact that his Snob character is just plain more interesting than Doug's NC. Snob is surrounded by the inherent mystery as to how a guy of his hoity-toity tastes watches snuff films and Nazisplotation for a living (I haven't seen his movie about the character's origins). Whereas NC is a guy who's just finding out that studios big and small have always been more interested in his money than providing 100% quality, to which the rest of us say, "Well duh."
I absolutely loathe the Nostalgia Critic's new episodes, at this point he's trying way too hard to be funny. The fact he has inserted elements of Demo Reel (which was a gigantic failure) into the Nostalgia Critic is a sign he just doesn't care anymore.
I don't like any gamer critic except for JonTron. His humor, let alone his facial expressions, crack me up so easily. I just hate the generic formula of "this game sucks because blah blah blah but it also has its good points like blah blah blah."

Also careful with how you describe Plinkett. It might set off the trigger of SJW's just like how bronies and PIV does to them.
Because not having a script makes the videos even more awkward, with them rambling off on bizarre unrelated tangents and losing track of what they wanted to say. If you ever see any of them doing a free-form v-log their reasoning for using scripts becomes obvious.
^I have to disagree. If anything, not using a script makes it natural and relatable. If you actually have to plan out jokes, then I think you're doing something wrong. That or you're aspiring to become a stand-up comic.
Ah yeah! SFDebris is great, and I never hear him mentioned enough, his reviews are very well constructed and thought out.The snob tackles interesting films, thanks to him I discovered Calligula. Mr.Plinket is my hero after the Star Wars reviews, it's a shame he doesn't have more reviews.
I've lost track of the quality of work of most of the rest of them, but it's nice to see somebody else that thinks Angry Joe is unfunny trash.
As for scrips being good or bad. I don't think having scrips is a problem. It's all in the delivery. Some of them like SF Debris and Snob, make it feel more natural. Compare him to say....Angry Joe, who feels like he's reading from cue cards in most of his reviews.
Have any of you guys heard of Yourmoviesucks? He's one of my favourite reviewers ever. His style was a bit like Mr. Plinkett at first but he's developed his own more formula. His writing is like a more blunt Nostalgia Critic but with less terrible jokes and unlike the Nostalgia Critic, he doesn't try to shove the point he's trying to make in the review down your throat all the time.

I like the new Nostalgia Critic episodes. I think the jokes are better thought out and the skits enhance the overall entertainment. That said, if I want to rewatch one of reviews, I head to the older stuff. Like, The Room and anything before that. Wish he would bring back Ask That Guy.
Linkara, I stopped following Atop the Fourth Wall. Just wasn't interested anymore. I will come around for History of Power Rangers, but that's it.

AVGN, I'm past that. The swearing got less interesting and the reviews stopped coming. Love his Monster Madnesss and got pissed when he started doing it only every second day in November.

I don't normally laugh out loud at things I read online, but here I am.
Also, I like NChick because as pretentious as the content her videos can get, she always seems down to earth and isn't trying to sell you on anything. And she doesn't rely on gimmicky bullshit.
JonTron became so horrifically unfunny on Game Grumps that I stopped watching it until Danny came on board. Then I stopped watching again a few months later out of boredom. I will concede that Jon's latest solo stuff is pretty quality though.
