Do you guys know of "angry critics" who are more on the... "right" side of things?

Angry, spergy internet personalities who are politically right generally gravitate towards conspiracy theory shit instead of talking about games or movies.

The use of stock footage in the video is weird. Here's a golden opportunity to do a joke but he just grabs badly done free footage from YT. That's just lazy.

A lot of obvious choices that are easy to call out. I think Godfather 3 is fine aside from Sophia Coppola. But am I crazy for liking Clerks 2? I actually prefer that over the original and that Jesus Kid who likes the Go Bots is a big reason why.

His final pick is Troll 2 which cements him as a contrarian hipster fag. Really nigga? Troll 2?

I'm going to sperg for a second: no one gives a fuck about Troll 1. No one cares about that film. I've never encountered a single fan of that picture. So there was no legacy to taint by making an in-name-only sequel. Secondly, Troll 2 is pretty goddamn unintentionally funny. If a movie is entertaining then it probably shouldn't count.

There's infinitely worse sequels than fucking Troll 2. What about Robocop 3? It removes nearly all of the violence, goes for kid appeal, casts a kid as one of the main characters, it killed off Lewis, it doesn't feature Peter Weller as Murphy, and it's just a pile of shit.

Troll 2 is the worst sequel ever made? I'd go so far to say it's more memorable than the original Troll, at least by cheesy movie standards.

Troll 1 has some fun oldschool creature effects and that's about it as far it's appeal goes. Not unless you're a huge fan of Sonny Bono or whatsherface who played Elaine in Seinfeld. Troll 1 isn't a "So bad it's good." Kind of picture and it doesn't even have gore.

The only time I've ever even heard of Troll 1 was Phelous' review which he did in preperation of Troll 2.

also you're not crazy thinking Clerks 2 is better than Clerks 1. It's definitely a better made film since it was made with Studio resources and a lot of the jokes land better. That fucking Star Wars/Lord Of The Rings fight is perfect.

Troll 2 is by no means a good movie, but it is a memorable one and it's fun to watch and that's why I don't agree with it being the number one worst sequel. I don't think it's ever fair to put So Bad It's Good movies on these Worst Of lists because there's still entertainment to be had when watching it, in some cases more than a legit good movie.

Plus, as others have said, nobody cares about Troll 1; regardless of 2's "qualities" the fact that people talk about that more than the first says volumes of its cult appeal and how memorable it is compared to the first one.

The Jesus Kid jerking off to the donkey show always gets me.

"I'm sorry Jesus!"

That and the Porch Monkey conversation.

King of the Hill is beloved by all and it's not hard to understand some of its more pointed commentary. It baffles me that it totally flies over Strider's head.

King of the Hill's satire, at least in the early seasons, worked because it was an affectionate parody of the Southern/Texan conservative mindset and it didn't always devolve into strawmanning. There were moments, but overall it took a more nuanced approach. It kinda faltered in the later seasons, but that's for another time and place to discuss.

Now, The Goode Family, on the other hand, fell completely flat on its face because the satire didn't work. Because the type of liberals they were trying to parody at the time were already walking stereotypes. I'd imagine if that was produced today, Mike Judge would've triggered a ton of people by poking fun at transtenders, SJWs, and slacktivism instead of environmentalism, veganism, and other 2009-era liberalism beliefs.

The Goode Family
I'd say it didn't work because unlike King of the Hill the characters were never all that relatable, likeable or even "realistic". Hank had character outside of being a republican. The Goodes didn't, they were just Lefty Liberal strawmen without the heart Hank, Peggy, Bobby, Bill, Dale, Boomhaur, etc all had.

His list is among the most obvious I've ever seen. Hell, I'm surprised he didn't include Squeakuel in that list to make it even more obvious.

Honestly, I think Doug just proved he doesn't really watch as many movies as he claims he does with these limpdicked results I'm hearing. Did he even go with Exorcist 2: the Heretic in the list? Because that baby was a baffling piece of trash compared to the first one, and it'd certainly be something worth placing in terms of worst sequels.

Exorcist 2 was worth it just to see James Earl Jones in a locust costume.

Off the top of my head I can think of plenty of sequels which deserve that list more than half the ones he chose.

Alien: Resurrection (not to say Alien 3 was good but this one was way worse)
Terminator 3
Grease 2
Escape From L.A

Literally any Halloween sequel
Conan the Destroyer (Probably wouldn't make the list because he's a smug pleb who thinks he should feel bad for enjoying the first Conan movie)
The Sting II
Matrix Reloaded

Any of the AvP movies
