Isn't that transphobic or something?
Don't forget the fact that he's trying to invoke the "sassy black woman" ideal while being whiter than white bread.

Though admittedly, Fat Grandma is probably his best compared to some of the others. Not saying much, but still, I can tolerate her more than I can the likes of Boffo the clown, 90s Kid, Mecha-kara, Lord Vyce or any of the others.

Has this thread touched on all the Mr Enter knockoffs who REALLY REALLY REALLY hate Teen Titans Go? I honestly like that show. It's stupid, but it's a cartoon for kids. It reminds me of old cartoons in that way where it's written for kids, all the gags are for kids, but if youre a little bit older or in the know, a meme or two is funny every now and then.

I liked the original Teen Titans as a kid, only insofar as yeah it was one of the first "edgy anime" kind of shows, before Adult Swim really took off with it's own anime/nerd culture block. Teen Titans was like a Toonami thing, but it wasnt the best show ever. It honestly wasnt even that good, I dont remember it being anything other than a generic superhero action cartoon with a few episodes of minor character development, like, maybe there was a romance plot between Starfire and Robin, but that's not a groundbreaking concept for a cartoon. There were already shows about teenagers awkwardly exploring puberty and relationships, shows like Doug, without even being cloying, or forced, or awkwardly interjected into a beat-em-up action cartoon. So the "loss" of Teen Titans isnt really robbing, or depriving the world of anything.

I mean, they all harp on how theyve "destroyed a classic" but none of them expound on that or explain what theyre talking about except parroting-in-different-words Mr Enter's talking points. I guess there are a few Teen Titans GO episodes that make fun of the original show, and make fun of the people who really care about it being "ruined" or some episodes make fun of plot points from the original (this is one thing I like about it, it's a kind of self-aware/self-deprecating humor where it doesnt take itself seriously and nothing really matters, just laughs. If you get it, youll find it funny).

I like Teen Titans GO more than the original because it's actually a cartoon, with stupid faces, slapstick antics, dumb gimmicks--the original Teen Titans, if you didnt come into it knowing what the fuck was going on, it didnt really mean much other than it was a superhero cartoon. I think the reboot is actually doing better than the original ever did, I think the original just one day suddenly got cut, but this one is getting picked up and played a lot and that makes these guys furious.

But man these guys get SO MAD about how it's been desecrated.

The other problem is that for all the serious moments, they tend to forget that the original TT had similar traits to TT GO, like the over the top faces, shouting and even goofy moments (remember Cybog's car?).

That's why I don't get their logic with this. Yeah it's got cheaper animation, but that's less indicative of the show and more CN being cheapskates as a whole, seeing as their non-flash fare look terrible too. Plus the voice actors have gone on record that they enjoy doing the show. And that's before getting into the fact that it doesn't take itself seriously, like at all. I may not like it (or have really paid attention to it, in all honesty). But I can at least respect it for what it is, and to be fair, I'm not a big fan of the original series either.

I'll admit that I'm a fan of the original and don't care much for TTG. But it's no reason to go apeshit over it. It's just a dumb cartoon for children. I liked the old show and this new one doesn't change that. It just feels like people are too sensitive about upholding the dignity of the original when the original was already strong enough to stand on its own without constantly having to pick at ttg toddler fodder.

Even before TTG, there was a precursor to it of animated shorts that featured the Titans as chibis that aired in between other DC shows Cartoon Network had for their Saturday morning DC lineup. I guess there were not enough of those to make Youtube videos of how they "ruined" the original show.

This is why I find Pan Pizza's thoughts on it to be refreshing and interesting. He likes the show, saying it appeals to his sense of humor and that it's not as bad as everyone says it is.

That said, I wish he wouldn't pander to the massive hate-base by sticking it in his Top 10 Worst Reboots and Top 10 Worst Redesigns lists.

The reason why Teen Titans Go gets a lot of hate are down to 2 big reasons:

1: it replaced Young Justice. It literally replaced it. Cartoon Network wanted a show that would appeal to the lowest common denominator that would sell more toys and cancelled Young Justice (even though it got great ratings). Young Justice is one of the very best DC animated shows and is debatably better than the Bruce Timm Batman and Justice League shows. That's how good it was. It was a really fucking good show. Thank god there's a season 3 on Netflix coming soon.

2: it's just another "lol random humor" cartoon with a simple art style that appeals to the lowest common denominator and tries to shove memes and other "lol randomness" in your face.

New stuff from I Hate Everything - The Fred Trilogy... Yeah.

My thoughts: IHE really must be in bad physical shape if he's letting a stupid - ass movie (out of 3) like this get to him like this so easily. Also, who's this guy guest reviewing with him? Anybody have any thoughts on him??? Thought it would be fun to ask.
